We once again open up on the dock of shame on Camp Wawanakwa, the summer sun shined brightly in the sky and the sound of nature echoed all throughout the island. Everything seemed perfectly serene…until a loud voice spoke up. "Welcome back to Total Drama Island!" Chris Mclain entered the scene, his usual grin plastered on his face as the camera focused on him. "It's been a long time since you last saw our campers slugging it out for the $100,000 grand prize! Since the competition came to a shocking and dramatic conclusion, our campers have had some time to snack on some real food, no offense to our beloved Chef, take a hot shower, get their stuff back, and even peruse their emails, text and calls from home. There were losers." Immediately a toaster was thrown at Chris that the host narrowly managed to dodge. "Ok! Lots of losers!"
"But there was only one winner: Duncan!" Chris then reached into a file and took a couple of mug shots of Duncan, one of them being him flipping off the camera which of course was blurred. "The Juvenile delinquent, and bad boy with a surprising heart of gold hidden underneath turned out to be the champion of the Island. Proving multiple times to be a tough as nails and his criminal background providing him with a large amount of diverse skills, he came out the other side with both a massive prize and a hot goody two shoes chick he ended up corrupting. The dudes planning to bail himself out before paying for one awesome garage and even offered to help his gal pay for law school, earning some real brownie points there bro. But first the campers got to spend the week living it up and Playa des Losers, and are throwing one last poolside rap party, and tomorrow, everybody's heading for home."
"Or are they?" Chris grinned rather mischievously as he winked at the camera. "Find out right here, right now, on Total. Drama. Island!"
Currently at the resort known as Playa des Losers, all the campers of Total Drama Island were doing just as Chris said. Partying it up! Once the competition ended, they could finally forget about the Island and the show and just have fun and hang out with each other. After 8 weeks of facing challenges that ranged from disgusting to just plain torture they were finally allowed to just relax, and they were given a whole week to enjoy the resort before heading home. And while this was the last day they'd get to spend with each other, this wouldn't mean goodbye for them.
Despite the nature of the game, the alliances, different teams, backstabbing, and other conniving tricks, genuine friendships and bonds were made and some weren't ready to say goodbye. Thankfully plenty of phone numbers and email addresses were exchanged so almost everyone was able to keep in contact with each other. But they'd worry about all that later, for now there was still plenty of fun to be had while they could still have it!
Currently Owen, who was holding Mr. Coconut, Izzy, Eva, and Ezekiel were all hanging out at the buffet eating food. Izzy was dancing next to Eva on one side of the table with the iron woman having gotten herself a plate of food with Owen watching Izzy from the other side of the table with a frown on his face, Ezekiel comforting Owen by patting him on the back. Even after all this time Izzy was still pissed at Owen for what he did during the Horror challenge, Owen has tried to apologize and make up for it multiple times but the crazy red head just wasn't having it and was still giving Owen the cold shoulder.
"Cowabunga!" Running past the buffet table was Tyler with a Frisbee in his hand. The jock grinned as he threw it over the resort pool where Cody was waiting to catch it, with Dawn, Gwen and Trent sitting next to each with their feet in the pool and DJ laying back in one of the lawn chairs.
"Alright!" Cody cheered as he caught the Frisbee and got ready to throw it back. "Feels great to just hang out without any challenges or alliances getting in the way, kinda bummed out it all ends today."
"Hey I'm sure they'll be plenty of opportunities to hang out when we all get home," DJ smiled and spoke up as Cody tossed the Frisbee back to Tyler. "Nothing sayin that's gotta stop today."
"DJ's right," Dawn said, her aura bright and positive and she was sure if anyone else could see aura's hers might be a bit bright for their taste. Ever since reuniting with Lincoln when he was eliminated, Dawn could definitely say she was doing a lot better now and was actually able to enjoy the resort as well as the company of all the new friends she made on the show. Sure neither her or Lincoln won but she wasn't to bothered by it, and even if he did a few less then nice things during the show it was hard to be mad that Duncan won. "A lot of us have forged some strong connections, our auras have truly bonded and even if we're apart they'll still be something connecting us all,"
"Heh, bet that goes double for you and Lincoln huh?" Trent asked with a bit of a smirk on his face, causing Dawn to smile and blush. "You two gonna be cool when we all go home? I mean you both took it pretty hard when you got the boot and you guys were just an island apart at the time but now you're gonna be living in different countries."
"I won't lie, it's gonna be…a bit difficult," Dawn admitted while looking down at the pool a bit. Thankfully being on the resort did give her and Lincoln some time to talk about it. They obviously exchanged phone numbers and emails, and they agreed Edward would stay with her in Canada, and already had plans to visit each other as much as they could. "But we talked it over and we're gonna make it work,"
"Well hey, if anyone can it's you two," Gwen said supportively as she put a hand to Dawn's back. While Gwen was a bit upset at getting beaten by Duncan in the final challenge, it was hard for her to be too upset as she still placed higher then she ever expected, and like Dawn she was in a relationship with a great guy and thankfully they actually lived decently close to each other! "I know you'll work it all out,"
Over by the smaller pool, Katie, Sadie, and Justin were all hanging around the bar with Justin posing and showing his body off to the two girls with Sadie dancing in the water and Katie sitting at the pool and keeping her eyes more on Sadie rather then Justin. "As soon as I get home I'm signing up with three modeling agencies." Justin bragged while continuing to show his body off. "One for my face, one for my body, and uh, one for my knees."
"You do have great knees~" Sadie gushed while Katie rolled her eyes a bit.
CONFESSIONAL – KATIE AND SADIE
"It's so great to be able to chill out and not worry about competing for once!" Katie let out excitedly with Sadie nodding in agreement. "The competition got like, super stressful!"
"Oh I know!" Sadie nodded in agreement. "We even had our first big fight!"
"But luckily we came out of it," Katie smiled fondly at her best fondly at her best friend, taking one of Sadie's hands into her own and squeezing it lightly. "I just couldn't imagine what my life would be like without you in it!"
"Omgosh me neither!" Sadie squeezed Katie's hand back in response, she didn't wanna think of a life without Katie in it. "And now we have more time to admire Justin without distractions! So yummy!"
"Hehe, y-yeah…" Katie stuttered a bit, her smile a little less then enthusiastic as she looked at the camera. "Yummy…"
CONFESSIONAL – KATIE
"Is this thing on…" Katie asked as she looked at the camera and saw that the light was on. "Ok it is! Gosh it feels so weird doing this without Sadie, but I had to get my thoughts out and I'm not sure how she'd react to this. Justin…I just don't see the appeal anymore. It's like one day I'm gushing about him being the cutest most handsome thing ever and the next day…nothing. Maybe I've grown a tolerance? Plus when you get to know Justin he turns out to be…not the most pleasant guy in the world…Sadie can totally do better hehe," As Katie finished her cheeks turned a little pink.
Back at the buffet table, Harold and Lincoln, who had Edward hanging out on his shoulder, were walking up to it eager to get some food but as they were grabbing plates Harold looked over to Justin and sighed a little bit. "I just don't get it Lincoln," Harold spoke up as Lincoln looked up at the ginger. "Ever since Lashawna got here I've been trying to make my move on her, but all she could care about was staring at Justin. It's not fair,"
"Pfft, Justin's just a pretty face with nothing behind it. You shouldn't worry about him man," Lincoln told his friend by putting an arm around him supportively. "Trust me, while she enjoys the eye candy Justin gives you're the guy she really likes. I can tell,"
"Really?" Harold asked with Lincoln nodding his head in assurance. "Then why hasn't she said yes when I asked her out?"
"Well…I think she just doesn't wanna move things along too fast," Lincoln gave Harold the best advice he could. Sure he wasn't a romance expect but he certainly had some experience in relationships, at least he liked to think so. "I mean think about it, you two were on separate teams and she didn't show up here until near the end of the competition so you two didn't have to much time to get to know each other. The kiss was probably a spur of the moment thing but it at least it shows she still likes you."
"I guess you have a point…" Harold nodded in understanding but he still couldn't help but be a little upset. "I just thought we had something really special is all,"
"And you do, you just gotta give it time." Lincoln explained to him. "You know what they say, slow and steady wins the race,"
"You and Dawn just make it look so easy," Harold said as both looked over to Lincoln's girlfriend as she was hanging out by the pool. Harold saw all the episodes while at the resort and Lincoln and Dawn, once they confessed, truly had something special between them. "Even Geoff and Bridgette too,"
Harold pointed to said couple who were currently cuddling in the hot tub. "But remember how we all started out dude, me and Dawn, Geoff and Bridgette, we all started out as just friends. Heck I was worried about confessing Dawn because I was worried about looking like some guy on the rebound. But everything we've been through together, and hearing her confess to me, helped me brush past all that," Lincoln spoke fondly, all the memories he and Dawn made together on the island coming to him and making him smile fondly. "That's what you gotta be with Leshawna, just a friend. Hang out with her, be there for her, crack jokes with her, and just be yourself around her. Put that relationship stuff in the back of your head and…just be there for her."
"Maybe you're right," Harold saw the reasoning in all that. It was true, neither Lincoln and Dawn or Geoff and Bridgette just jumped into their relationships. They took time to grow and develop, so maybe he could do the same with Leshawna. "Thanks Lincoln, I owe you one."
"Hey, happy to help a friend," Lincoln reassured Harold before the two went to getting food from the buffet. Harold grabbed a hamburger before going for other stuff and Lincoln was about to do the same…until the sound of a familiar giggle caught his ears. Turning back, he saw his beautiful nature loving girlfriend chatting it up with Gwen, Trent, and DJ. Lincoln smiled fondly at her before looking at the burger he was about to pick up…and moved his hand away from it to grab some salad instead with Harold completely unaware to it. "For her…"
As the boys were getting their food, Owen decided to try and get Izzy off her mind by stuffing his face full of marshmallows from the buffet. Coincidentally Izzy was doing the same thing along with Eva as the psycho-hose-beast threw another Marshmallow into her mouth. "95!" Izzy yelled out before chugging down some pop and letting it rip. "BUUUUUUURP!" Izzy let out a burp with enough force to play Eva's hair pack and send her plate flying out of her hand with Eva holding her hands to her now aching stomach.
"Ugh, you win…" Eva admitted before wincing as a gurgling sound was heard from her stomach. "I can't eat anymore…"
"Hey 37 isn't bad Eva!" Izzy reassured Eva after crushing the pop can she had over her head. Meanwhile Owen was starring at her with a shocked looked, thinking of Izzy as some Marshmallow Goddess. "Give it some time and you'll be burping like-" Izzy then inhaled deeply and-
"BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRPPPPPPPPPPPPP!"
Izzy let out a burp so powerful and loud it was heard throughout the entire island and with enough force to send a large wave through the pool that swept Lindsay and Beth, who were playing with a beach ball in it, away with Lindsay being swept up to the edge of the pool next to Trent, Beth emerging in front of Gwen and Dawn a few seconds later. Owen gasped at this and couldn't help him, he ran up to Izzy and got on his knees while taking on of her hands into his. "I think I'm in love with you!" Owen finished by kissing Izzy on the end with Eva and Ezekiel cringing a bit in disgust. Instead of reacting violently, Izzy puffed up her cheeks as she suddenly felt sick and ran off to go puke in a bush. "Well…at least she didn't kick me in the kiwis."
Immediately rock that Izzy picked up after she was finished being sick was thrown right at his crotch. "AH! MY KIWIS!" Owen cried out in.
"I don't think that was the right move to make eh," Ezekiel commented as he walked up to Owen.
"I know…" Owen groaned out before holding Mr. Coconut up and frowning at his fruity friend. "You don't need to rub it in Mr. Coconut."
With Harold, after getting his food with Lincoln Harold went up to Leshawna as she was talking by and decided to test out Lincoln's advice with her. "Hey Leshawna," The ginger greeted his crush, striking a pose and trying to show off his non-existent muscle.
"Hey there sugar baby," Leshawna put her hands to her hips as she looked over Harold as showed off his little man muscle. "Mmmm, you got game baby! You've been working out?"
"You noticed?" Harold smiled before pulling out a single orange flower and handing it to the girl with a tude. "Here, this is for you,"
"Heh, thanks Harold," Leshawna smiled and took the flower. She smiled for a few moments before sighing a bit. This would hurt but it's what needed to be done. "Listen Harold…I gotta talk to you about all that. You see, you and me? On the dock…I just got all…emotional back there. You know, with the elimination and all…I think we moved way to fast."
"…Yeah, I understand," It was just like Lincoln said, but he couldn't deny it was true. His friend was right, slow and steady wins the race. "So can I still talk to you and stuff?"
"Hmph, Harold, you are the funkiest, baddest, strangest white boy I have ever met," Leshawna smirked at him before crossing her finger. "You and me are like this,"
"Alright!" Harold cheered while pumping his fist a bit. He couldn't help but be a little excited but that should be fine right? "So then, maybe I can get use some pops and we can hang out by the pool?"
"That sounds great Harold," Leshawna nodded, getting Harold to grin happily. "Think you can grab me something cherry flavored?"
"Got it," Harold nodded as he went back to the buffet table to get some drinks for him and Leshawna, sending Lincoln a thumbs up that the white head returned.
CONFESSIONAL – HAROLD
"Lincoln was right, taking things slow with Leshawna is probably the best way to go," Harold stated with a smile on his face as he took a swing of grape pop. "Sure I'd be cool to be in a relationship with her but now I'll get to spend more time with her. And the more time with the luscious Leshawna the better~"
Back with Gwen, Trent, and Dawn, Leshawna, Lincoln and Edward had now join the three of them around the pool with Edward now being in Dawn's lap with the nature lover scratching the little guys head. "I think the best part of playing this stupid game was meeting the two of you," The goth girl told her best friend and boyfriend. Sure Gwen could say her time on the island absolutely sucked but she'd be lying if she said there weren't any highlights. Turning to Lincoln and Dawn Gwen let them know they were part of that to. "And it was nice getting to know you guys too,"
"I feel the same way," Trent nodded as he wrapped an arm around his girlfriend.
"No doubt," Leshawna nodded her head, glad she met Gwen as well.
"Totally," Lincoln nodded in agreement as he looked at the goth girl. "Thanks again for helping me outta my funk after Dawn was cheated off Gwen, I really needed that,"
"No problem," Gwen reassured Lincoln before pulling a few pictures out and showing them to the others, specifically Trent, Leshawna, and Dawn as they would still be in Canada. "I can't wait for you three to meet my buds back home. This is Marilyn, Pixiecorpse, and Reaper."
The four teens looked at the pictures and Leshawna, Dawn, and Trent all winced a bit as all of Gwen's friends turned out to be either other goths or punks, and much scarier looking then her. Lincoln wasn't to put off as, due to his sister Lucy having plenty of friends like this. "Yeah…can't wait," Trent said rather fearfully before looking to Lincoln. "So Linc, what're you gonna do when you head back to America?"
"Huh, ya know I actually haven't thought it about that much," Lincoln put a hand to his chin as he thought about it. He's been so focused on the game as well as his relationship with Dawn he didn't think about what he'd do when he got home, he knew for sure things would change due to him ranking highly in a hit reality show but he wasn't planning on living the celebrities life or anything like that. "I mean no doubt my folks and friends are planning a huge welcome back party for me, and they're definitely gonna wanna know about all the details of me and Dawn's relationship."
"Heh, sisters be sisters," Leshawna grinned as everyone gave him amused looks.
"I am worried a bit about Lori though," Lincoln frowned a bit as he thought about his oldest sister. "She was…really invested in me and Ronnie Anne's relationship."
"Why's that?" Trent asked with a raised brow.
"She's married to her older brother," Gwen explained to the others. "Lincoln told me about it during the castaway challenge,"
"Ouf," Trent winced, a gesture that was shared by Leshawna. "That's gotta be awkward."
"Like you wouldn't believe," Lincoln groaned a bit, knowing how pissed Lori was at him when he and Ronnie Anne called things off. "So that's gotta be something I'll have to deal with it."
"Don't worry, I'll know everything will be ok," Dawn reassured him, planting a kiss on Lincoln's cheek and getting a smile and blush from her boyfriend. "Even if we're apart we'll always be there for you,"
"Heh, thanks," Lincoln immediately felt all his worries melt away thanks to Dawn. Meanwhile Trent, Gwen, and Leshawna were giving the two sly looks. "Other then that think I'll just go back to working at my dads restaurant and see where that takes me,"
"Woah cool," Harold, who had walked up to the group with a cherry and grape pop in his hands with him handing the cherry to Leshawna, said as he looked down at Lincoln. "You didn't tell me your dad had a restaurant. Or that you worked at it,"
"Really? Have I never mentioned that?" Lincoln asked as he looked around and saw everyone but Dawn shaking their heads. "Huh, weird. But yeah my dad own's his own restaurant called Lynn's table, and I work there as a cook."
"No wonder you were so good during the cooking challenge," Harold commented, remembering how much Chris loved the lasagna Lincoln made with Bridgette and DJ's help. "We should totally all eat together sometime if we visit America,"
"Oh yeah that'd be awesome!" Lincoln grinned at the thought of his new friends eating at Lynn's table together before looking down at Edward and petting the Platypus. "And I'm sure this little glutton would definitely like to try some of my dads cooking."
"Brbrbrbr!" Edward happily let out, nodding his head.
Just then Cody came running up to them, the Frisbee again in his hand, with the geeky teen throwing it towards Tyler who was standing at the other side of the pool by the buffet table. "Rocking the Frisbee baby!" Tyler yelled out as he got ready to catch the Frisbee as it skidded across the water…only for it to hit Tyler in the head leading him to fall into the pool. "Oh look!" Lindsay, who was still at the edge of the pool with Beth, said as she showed the message she got on her phone to Beth. "Maggie, Bree, and Heidi are planning a giant welcome home party for me!"
"Lucky!" Beth let out as she looked at the message Lindsay was showing her.
"And, eeeeeee, E-Gossip will be there!" Lindsay squealed excitedly, followed soon by Beth doing the same thing.
This made both girls completely unaware to Tyler struggling in the water with the clumsy jock sinking down. Seeing this, DJ gasped as he ripped his shirt off to show off a life jacket he was wearing underneath it. Diving into the water, DJ went to save Tyler…only for Tyler to emerge carrying an unconscious DJ out of the pool before getting the water out of the big guys lungs.
"So, still can't get through to Izzy huh?" Walking up to Owen, Eva having helped him onto a chair after Izzy threw a rock at his privates, was Noah who witnessed the whole thing happen and decided to check in on Owen and Eva. "What this, apology attempt number 86?"
"I think so yeah…" Owen sighed out sadly as he looked on at Izzy as she grabbed a plate of hotdogs and went back to chowing down again after just throwing up earlier. "I get why she's mad, but how long can she stay mad at me…"
"Don't worry chubby buddy," Noah surprisingly offered comfort to Owen as he patted the big guy on the back. "You'll win her over eventually,"
CONFESSIONAL – NOAH
"I don't really know how it happened," Noah shrugged as he looked at the camera with a neutral look on his face. "After I got the resort me and Eva ended up sort of clicking, and then after she arrived after escaping the RCMP somehow Izzy sort of joined in our group. Owen also got a long with the two of us but we couldn't hang out with him and Izzy at the same time since Owen kinda messed up big time, hopefully I can help fix that…as well as Owen's fixation on that coconut he carries around, it's starting to become concerning."
Currently cuddling up by the hot tub near where Owen, Eva, and Noah were hanging out Geoff and Bridgette were cuddling together before they starting to make out a little bit. As they were getting kissy the bubbles in the tub went out and Bridgette went to turn the jets on again. Once the bubbles again Bridgette was feeling a bit playful and went to tackle Geoff…only for her hand to accidentally hit him in the eye. "Ow!" Geoff let out as he held his eye in pain.
"Crap! Sorry!" Bridgette let out before moving Geoff's hand away and kissing his eye gently with the party dude smiling and enjoying the treatment his girlfriend was giving him.
Meanwhile we have the winner of Total Drama Island himself, Duncan. With a giant check for $100,000 dollars in his hands. The delinquent was dancing his heart away and close to him his girlfriend Courtney was doing the same. The two were riding on a massive high the entire week they were there after Duncan won and the two had a lot to look forward to when they left for home. Especially Duncan who would be finally free from Juvie and would be able to buy his dream garage. "Top of the world baby!" Duncan cheered as he rose up his check in the air, showing off his winnings to everyone else. "I'm king of this freakin island!"
"And don't forget your queen!" Courtney let out excited before wrapping her arms around Duncan and kissing her boyfriend passionately which Duncan kindly returned. "So what're you plans when we finally leave tomorrow?"
"Well gonna cash this bad boy in and finally become a free man," Duncan grinned as he patted the giant check after lowering it. "After that well, I think my folks would like to meet ya babe~"
"I'd be down for that…oh my gosh my parents are gonna freak out," Despite her words Courtney couldn't help but giggle at the thought with Duncan smirking. Something told him it'd be an interesting meeting. "As for me well…with my boyfriend so graciously paying for college for me I should get prepared for that, studying for my LSATS and all."
"Heh, yeah I get that just don't forget to cut loose now and then alright?" Duncan told his girlfriend with a grin. He respected his goals and was gonna keep his word in helping her with that, but he didn't want his girlfriend reverting back to the uptight CIT she used to be. "But I'll be there to make sure you do,"
"Heh, trust me I know you'll make sure I never have a day of peace again," Courtney rolled her eyes playfully at her boyfriend with Duncan's smirk pretty much confirming her words. "Just don't rope me into robbing a bank or something,"
"No promises," Duncan leaned against her causing Courtney to giggle again and softly punch his arm.
Just then, everyone's eyes turned as a certain queen bee entered the scene. Having lost her wing after Chef through her to the sharks, Heather was forced to enter the pool area completely bald…and with a smiley face drawn on her head. "Pffft, hahahaha!" Everyone who could see it started laughing.
"Oh that is brutal!" Trent laughed out with a big smirk.
"Yeah, I did that," Leshawna all too happily admitted with Lincoln high-fiving her.
"Brbrbrbrbr!" Edward laughed out loudly.
"What?" Heather spat out as she turned to the group with a scowl. "What's so funny?!"
"Oh nothing~" Dawn sang out with a grin.
CONFESSIONAL – LESHAWNA
"Ok you know you'd've done the same thing if you were me!" Leshawna stated as she glared at the camera, all the nasty stuff Heather did coming to her mind and making Leshawna pissed off practically instantly. "She's lucky I did tattoo it on her head!"
Just then the music that was playing through the resort was cut off. Before anyone could question it, everyone's eyes were locked onto the host of the game that they all just suffered through came into the resort area holding a silver colored briefcase. A few of the teens sent Chris a nasty look as he cut off their fun, and suddenly coming up to Duncan was Chef who ripped the giant check out of his hands. "Hey!" Duncan yelled as he tried to take it back only for Chef to push him away, Courtney catching her boyfriend before he could fall leading to both glaring at Chef "What the hell Mclain?"
"All will be explained Duncan," Chris grinned at Duncan as Chef walked next to Chris as the host looked over everyone. "So campers, how are you all enjoying the resort?"
"Um, I think you mean Ex-Campers," Courtney stated as she glared at Chris.
"Yeah," Surprisingly it was Heather who agreed with Courtney, though everyone shared the C.I.T's statement. "You're sick little game is over. Remember?"
"We'll see about that~" Chris whispered to Chef leading to the two snickering before Chris stopped himself and gestured to Duncan. "Congratulations to our winner! Duncan, you played hard, you fought hard, you punched hard, and you bullied harder! You stuck it out, and managed to beat every other person on this island, and your pockets will soon be stuffed with cheddar!"
Everyone cheered for Duncan with Courtney wrapping her arms around Duncan's neck with the delinquent smirking and wrapping an arm around Courtney's waist. "Eh you know," Duncan confidently shrugged. "It was a piece of cake."
"But, what I'm about to offer you may change all that," Chris' words got everyone's attention as all the teens rose an eyebrow at the host with the most as he held up the suitcase he was carrying. "Inside this suitcase…is One. Million. Dollars!" Chris announcement was a shock for all teens. Inside that suitcase was ten times the prize money Duncan just got! Where was Chris going with this? "We had our PA's make a cardboard check of this awesome new prize!"
Just then the ground stated to shake and all the contestants gasped as check the size of a hotel was brought into the resort. "WE WENT THROUGH A LOT OF CARDBOARD TO MAKE THIS!" Chris yelled out as everyone looked at the check in awe. "Duncan my man, this million dollars could be yours. All you have to do is figure out where we're about to hide it and bring it back to the Dock of Shame before everyone else does."
"Wait," Gwen spoke up, wanting to make sure they all heard Chris correctly. "You're saying we all have the chance to win a million dollars?"
"Yep!" Chris nodded before turning to Duncan. "What do you say Duncan? Will you settle for a hundred G's or One. Million. Dollars?!"
Duncan was never faced with a harder choice in his entire life. He could be happy and do what he planned to do with his 100 grand…but this was a million dollars they were talking about. He could do it all and so, so, much more. Sweat dripped down his brow and he looked to Courtney to see if she could help his decision only to see Courtney in just as much conflict as him. Looking between the smaller 100 grand check and the colossal one million dollars check…he made his decision. "Well you know what they say Chris," Duncan took a deep breath to calm himself down. "Why have just a slice when you can have the whole pie? Bring it on!"
Chris winked to Chef who grinned and ripped up the check for $100,000 with a gleeful smile on his face. "That's the spirit Duncan," Chris nodded in approval of the delinquents decision as an intern came by and grabbed the case of money, carrying it off to hide it for the competition. "Throughout the day, I'll give you all hints from the loudspeakers just to make sure you're not completely lost."
CONFESSIONAL – COURTNEY
"Ok…" Courtney grinned excitedly as she audibly cracked her neck. "Let's do this~!"
"Alright Campers..." Chris rose out his gun and aimed it upward. This time it was filled with a blank to prevent any accidents from happening. "The race for the one million dollars starts…NOW!"
BANG!
"YEEEEEEAAAHHH!" Courtney let out a war cry as she stomped on the ground. "LET'S GO GET THAT MILLION DOLLARS!"
"That's the spirit babe!" Duncan yelled out, equally as hyped up as his girlfriend was as the two ran off. "Later losers!"
And as the two ran off Chris looked…to see none of the other campers racing off to go get it. In fact everyone was basically giving Chris either skeptic looks, or hard glares. "Let me get this straight," Heather spoke up as she stepped up to Chris. "After messing with our heads for an entire summer you expect us to go running around the island like idiots all over again?"
"That's right," Chris shamelessly admitted.
"But how do we know you didn't stuff that suitcase full of bricks or something?" Leshawna crossed her arms skeptically.
"You don't," Once again, Chris had no problem saying that.
"As much as I would love to play another round of humiliate the teens," Noah began saying with his iconic sarcasm as he walked up to the buffet table. "But I have a buffet to eat."
"Yeah I may be crazy," Izzy stated while pointing a thumb to herself. "But not crazy enough to fall for that!"
"Yeah!" Eva shouted, crossing her arms and standing with Izzy.
"Fine, suit yourselves," Chris shrugged before smirking at everyone. "I'm sure Duncan and Courtney will be happy to have no competition, while they make the easiest million dollars in TV history."
"Fine!" Gwen shouted while shooting a nasty glare at Chris.
"Fine!" Lindsay repeated.
"Yeah right," Justin put his hands on his flawless hips.
Everyone continued to stand around glaring at Chris, but soon Duncan and Courtney's words echoed over to them. "We're gonna be rich!" Duncan shouted causing them all to look in the direction his voice was coming in.
"We can buy ourselves a mansion!" Courtney followed up, getting several gasp from everyone.
Several campers started whistling or looking around awkwardly, and with Lincoln he found himself tapping his fingers on the ground anxiously. He had every reason to believe Chris was up to something…but it was the potential to win one million dollars. Hearing Dawn sigh, Lincoln found her taking one of his hands into her own. "It's ok," Dawn reassured him with an amused look. "I know you want to,"
"…" Lincoln was silent at first…but soon grinned as he quickly picked Dawn and Edward up and quickly began running…only for everyone else to do the same leading to all the campers being piled up and stuck and tangled around each other.
As everyone was trying to free themselves from the pile of teenagers, they began yelling and shouting over each other leading to Chef to whistle loudly as a way of getting everyone to quiet down. "Hey! I've got an idea!" Beth shouted out as soon as everyone stopped talking all at once. "Let's work together as a team! We can split the prize 24 ways and share it!"
"…" And just like that everyone began shouting again, basically shooting down Beth's plan instantly. However Beth's idea of forming teams did stick with everyone and once they were all free campers began piling up.
"Sorry Beth," Dawn apologized to the girl as she and Lincoln walked up to her, Edward waddling besides the two now. "You're idea was a noble one but…I don't think they'd go for that."
"I had to try," Beth shrugged with a smile. She figured her idea would be shot down but you couldn't say she didn't try to unite everyone. "Hey Lindsay! Let's team up!"
"Ready?" Lincoln asked his girlfriend with a grin.
"With you? Always," Dawn quickly latched onto Lincoln as the two went off together.
And similar to Lincoln, Dawn, and Edward, other campers began pairing up together. Duncan and Courtney were of course the first team, Owen, DJ, Cody, and Tyler formed an all guy team, Izzy paired up with Noah and Eva, Sadie ended up dragging a reluctant Katie to follow Owen, Geoff and Bridgette were obviously with each other, and with Beth she walked over to Lindsay after calling out to her. "I'm so glad you wanna team up with me!" Beth clapped while smiling brightly. Ever since Lindsay arrived at the resort, her and Lindsay became fast friend and bonded over the abuse they suffered from Heather.
"Of course!" Lindsay reassured her, taking Beth's hands into her own. "We're BFF's now!"
"Uh, excuse me," Walking up to the two girls was a bashful looking Ezekiel. "Could I join your team please eh?"
Beth and Lindsay looked at each other, appearing a bit reluctant. Neither forgot what Ezekiel said about girls on the first day of camp. "I don't know…" Beth slowly said as she narrowed her eyes at the home school boys. "Are you gonna respect us girls?"
"Yeah, I promise eh!" Ezekiel rapidly nodded his head before looking down shamefully. "Look…I'm sorry what I said on the first day. I was just repeating what my mom and dad taught me, but since I arrived at the resort I've been trying to improve myself. Honest!"
"Well…you have been pretty nice the last few weeks…" Lindsay admitted with Beth nodded his head. Over their time in the resort Ezekiel hasn't done anything to get on their bad side, and he even apologized to every girl that showed up at the resort. Even Heather! "If you promise to behave, you can join us."
"You won't regret this eh!" Ezekiel smiled brightly as he shook both girls hands.
Before the team of now three, Heather walked up to them with a smile on her face. "Ladies it's your lucky day," Heather told them as she put her hands to her hips and made them an offer that there was no way they could refuse. "I am going to help you find this million dollars."
"No thanks Heather," Beth quickly denied the bald girl as she and Lindsay glared at the girl who made their lives miserable on the Island. "We have enough people already,"
"Excuse me?!" Heather yelled out in shock and outraged. After everything she did for these two on the show this is how they repay her!? Neither would have gotten as far as they did without her helping them! "Lindsay?!"
"Sorry Henna," Lindsay didn't look to sorry as she apologized but that was completely on purpose. "Good luck though,"
"You're bringing homeschool and Braceface with you?!" Heather yelled out while gesturing to Beth and Ezekiel, getting glare out of the both of them. "But not me!"
"Starting to regret apologizing to you eh," Ezekiel let out though Heather didn't even spare a glance at him.
"Uh-huh," Lindsay was almost cocky sounding as she nodded and turned away with her teammates soon following.
"Oh, and P.S." Beth wanted to point out one last thing to the queen bee before they left her. "Someone drew a smiley face on the back of your head." Heather gasped as the three walked away from her laughing.
CONFESSIONAL – HEATHER
"I am so glad that this whole thing is over," Heather growled out as she used two hand mirrors to see the smiley face someone drew on her. Once she caught whoever did it they were so dead. "I haven't wanted to get away from a group of people this badly since my teach made me join the mathletes for extra credit."
"Ready?" Leshawna said as she formed a team with Gwen and Trent.
"Ready!" Trent said as they all put their hands together.
"Ready!" Gwen nodded as the rose their hands up into the air.
"Hey guys!" All three quickly put on sour looks as Heather called out to them and walked up to their group, speaking with a faux innocent tone. "I realize that we've had our minor differences, but what do you say we team up? We're the four strongest players. Together we'd be unstoppable!"
"Pfft, you frontin' me?" Leshawna couldn't believe how dumb Heather thought they were to fall for that kind of scam. "I'd rather stick a tire iron up my butt than team up with you!"
"Oh yeah?" And Heather quickly dropped the act and immediately began retaliating against Leshawna. "Well, at least I'm not a big butted, loud-mouthed , mall shopping homegirl!"
"Uh-uh!" Leshawna slapped Heather's hand away as soon as the queen bee starting wiggling her finger in front of her face. "You are not waving your fingers in my face!"
"Come on!" Gwen yelled out to her best friend. As much as she'd love to see Leshawna tear Heather up a new one, this was not the time for it. "
"Oooh, she's gonna get it!" Leshawna growled out but relented as she started catching up with her group. "Just you wait!"
"Grrrrr…" Heather growled out before looking around. Everyone else had a partner and she doubt any of them would be willing to team up with her. But past her was the lone camper without a partner…Harold. And Heather was not happy about it. "You've gotta be kidding me…"
CONFESSIONAL – HEATHER
"Ok I know it looked liked I was desperate for a partner because…well I was desperate for a partner." Heather sighed out, completely admitting it. She knew finding and actually keeping the case by herself was gonna be impossible. She knew there were plenty of other campers that would have no problem beating her up for it. "But Harold?! That's worse then the Mathletes! That's like…spending the afternoon with the physics club! But…this is for a million dollars. I need someone to act a human shield."
"Hey Harold…" Despite her reluctance and disgust, Heather walked up to Harold to try and propose an alliance with him. "I know we didn't really interact much…or at all, but I've seen those…mad skills you talked about on display and I think we could make a great team! What do you say?"
"While I appreciate you admiring my mad skills, no way!" Harold quickly denied Heather as he crossed his arms and glared at her. "Not a million years!"
"What?!" Heather yelled out in complete shock in disbelief. Harold. Of all the campers, Harold was saying no to teaming up! "Why?!"
"You think I'm an idiot, I saw the show after I was kicked off! I know what you did to Dawn!" Harold yelled at Heather, making the queen bee flinch a little. Great, so that was coming back to bite her in the ass. It was just a strategic play, people need to get over it already. "Lincoln's my pal, I'd never team up with someone who'd do something like that to him or Dawn. You're on your own!"
"Seriously?!" Heather growled out before gritting her teeth as Harold walked away from her. "Fine! Good luck finding a team of your own dorkwad!"
"I think I will," Harold smirk as he managed to catch up to Leshawna, Gwen, and Trent before they got too far. "Hey Leshawna, is it cool if I join your guy's team?"
Leshawna smiled at Harold before looking back at her teammates. "Hey, white boy's got some skills." Leshawna vouched for Harold, making the ginger boy smile. "You two cool with it?"
"Eh, I don't see why not," Trent shrugged, not having any issues with Harold. He did prove to have some decent skills in a few areas so he didn't see why they would say no. "Gwen, how about you?"
"Well, anyone's cool with Leshawna is cool with me," Gwen shrugged. Sure Harold could definitely weird her out a bit, but she knew he meant a lot to Leshawna and there were certainly worse people to add to the team. "Fine, he can come."
"Alright!" Leshawna grinned as they quickly started running forward together. "Better keep up baby, we got some ground to cover!"
"Yes!" Harold cheered as he ran with his new team.
"Let's get to my DATV!" Gwen told everyone. "We can use it to go around the island faster!"
Meanwhile Heather just watched in shock as Harold took off with the group of now more. "Oh come on!" Heather yelled out in rage as she kicked the ground…only to hit a rock. "Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow! Ow!"
And so all the campers with everyone, other then Heather, paired up with at least another campers as they traversed the island. Everyone looking in every nook and cranny possible to find out where the case containing the million dollars was. Everyone was eager to find it first. Some looks up on the cliff, others tried to see if it was hidden under water, and others tried to see if it was hidden somewhere around the campground.
And this went on for…quite a while.
"Ok this is pathetic campers!" The voice of Chris was heard throughout the island through a series of loud speakers, the host with the most beginning to grow a tad bit impaitent. "It's been two hours now and no one has even come close to finding the case! So here's your first clue, it's just…hanging around!"
With Justin, Katie, and Sadie, Justin was taking the lead of the group while animals nearby all turned to stare at his flawless beauty, and they weren't the only ones. Sadie's eyes were glued to Justin's behind as they walked behind him meanwhile Katie was aiming her eyes upwards after hearing Chris' obvious hint. "OMG!" Sadie gushed while nudging Katie to get her attention. "Look at that butt! It's…It's perfect~"
"Oh, uh, y-yeah…" Katie stuttered as she looked down, pretending to look at Justin's behind. Once again she felt weird, she just…didn't think Justin was attractive anymore. And now that she thought about it…did she ever? Sure she gushed about him at the resort along with Sadie, she wouldn't deny that, but she and Sadie did that whenever they saw a cute guy together and it was always Sadie who pointed them out. She usually went along with it because well, Sadie was her best friend and they did everything together. But now she just…wasn't feeling like she could go along with it anymore. "Sure."
CONFESSIONAL – KATIE
"I mean sure Justin is…objectively handsome, but I just can't get myself to feel anything to him. Started to question if anything I was feeling towards him in the past was genuine." Katie shrugged before sighing, holding her head a bit as she just continued to feel confused at everything. "I mean his butt was just…a butt. But I didn't find it that cute. Now Lindsay, she has a cute butt especially with that skimpy swimsuit she wears. Courtney too as a really cute butt, so does Dawn. And oh wow Leshawna~ Harold's a lucky guy hehe~ And don't even get me started on Sadie~" Katie let out a rather perverse giggle as her cheeks flushed red…until she realized exactly what she said and gave the camera a stunned look. "…Where did all that come from?"
Justin winked at a squirrel he passed by causing it to faint. Soon a bunch of camera men came by and aimed their equipment at the teen. "Justin! Show us some love!" Justin happily obliged as he started posing for the camera's with Sadie swooning over him and Katie rolling her eyes.
"So, either of you girls spot the case yet?" Justin asked as he flexed his arms.
"No~" Sadie shook her head, her eyes locked on Justin.
"And we won't if we just stand around like this!" Katie shouted out only for Justin and Sadie to not pay attention to her. "Ugh…"
With Noah, Eva, and Izzy, the former was having trouble keeping up with his teammates as Eva seemingly has unlimited stamina and Izzy was jumping from tree to tree. "How many…square hectares…is this island again..." Noah questioned in between breaths. "It's hopeless…"
"Just keep looking," Eva told him firmly as she looked around. "Do you wanna win or not?"
"Guys up here!" Izzy called out to her teammates as she stopped on top of a sturdy branch. "The suitcase must be in a tree! Okay, to find it, we must think like the tree. We must be tree creatures! See what the trees sees!"
CONFESSIONAL – NOAH
"Again, no idea how this friendship happened," Noah let out with a dry tone. "Seriously, is it just me or is Izzy one crazy bird?"
"Coming through!" As Noah and Eva were looking at each other strangely in response to Izzy's words, both looked up and ducked out of the way as Izzy came by swinging on a vine while yelling like Tarzan.
As she was swinging out, Courtney and Duncan ended up running by Noah and Eva with Duncan looking to be out of breath. "Hurry up Duncan!" Courtney shouted to her boyfriend before all four looked in the direction Izzy swung off too.
"I think I see it!" Izzy yelled out making everyone present gasp.
"She sees the suitcase!" Courtney yelled out while tightening her fist. "We can't let her have it!"
As Izzy came swinging by again, Courtney was quick to grab onto the vine so she wouldn't lose sight of the crazy girl. "Hey get your own vine!" Izzy yelled before Courtney climbed up on top of Izzy and tried to pry the crazy girl off the vine leading to the two beginning to brawl while swinging around.
"Yeah that's my girl!" Duncan cheered his girlfriend on as everyone simply watched the vine fight. "Kick her butt babe!"
With Lincoln, Dawn, and Edward, the three had their heads up looking at the tops of the trees, it was very obvious what Chris' hint meant but there was still the matter of finding it among who knows how many trees on this island it could be hanging from. And that's assuming it was hanging by a tree, it could be hanging by the top of the cliff for all they know. "Any sign of it?" Lincoln asked as he glanced at Dawn.
"No, I'm afraid not." Dawn shook her head as she put a hand onto a tree. "I can't feel any sort of energy that could lead to it, we're going around completely blind."
"Brbrbrbr." Edward let out as he lowered his head a bit.
"Hey we aren't out of this yet buddy, we got this." Lincoln reassured Edward as he picked the Platypus up. "There's gotta be some way to track it down, I doubt Chris made it impossible to find. No sense in just having us run around aimlessly, that'd get boring to watch fast."
And as Lincoln and Dawn continued to look around, a familiar voice spoke out to them. Or rather. Hooted out to them.
"Hoot! Hoot!" Dawn's eyes widened as a familiar owl hooting came to her ears…and she wasn't to happy about it.
(Translation: Hoot! My old friends! Hey! Hey guys!)
"Oh dear…" Dawn and Lincoln looked and flying up to them was an Owl. Not just any owl, but they owl they encountered during the animal trapping challenge. The very, very, very annoying Owl.
"That owl seems familiar…" Lincoln said as he looked up at the bird.
"Just keep walking," Dawn told him as she pulled her boyfriend forward. She truly did love nature and all living things…but that doesn't mean that said things couldn't annoy her and that owl was certainly a part of that list.
"Hoot! Hoot! Hoot-Hoot!"
(Translation: Hey! Where are you guys going? Hoot! Hoot! We got so much to talk about!)
But the owl seemed determined to follow them much to Dawn's annoyance. Edward as well as and as the Owl chatted on Lincoln quickly remembered it and started to get a little bugged himself. "Hoot! Hoot! Hoot! Hoot!"
(Translation: Like Steve getting a new horn job. Squirrels moving into my hole. Hoot! And that weird shiny thing hanging in the tree!)
Dawn sighed a bit as she rubbed her temples, already feeling a headache coming. "That's all great and-" But Dawn's eyes widened in an instant as she picked up on the last thing the owl listed. "Wait what as that last part?"
"Hoot!"
(Translation: Squirrels moved into my hole! There's like three of them!)
"No! Not that!" Dawn shook her head rapidly. "That shiny thing in the tree!"
"Wait what?" Lincoln gasped out with Edward's eyes widening. "He knows where the case is?"
"Hoot! Hoot! Hoot!"
(Translation: Oh that weirdo with black hair put a shiny thing in a tree. Hoot! It's square and looks heavy!)
"Where is it?" Dawn asked with an eager smile. "Can you show us?"
"Hoot! Hoot!"
(Translation: Sure! Hoot-Hoot! Another road trip!)
The owl then flew off with Dawn quick to follow it, but Lincoln and Edward were a bit more hesitant. "Dawn are you sure about this?" Lincoln asked, having every reason to not put his fate in that owl.
"Do you want a million dollars or not?" Dawn asked her boyfriend with a raised brow.
Lincoln and Edward looked at each other for a moment before running off after the owl with Dawn. "Let's go follow that owl!" Lincoln cheered with an eager smile on his face. After a few minutes of following the owl, Lincoln, Dawn, and Edward all gasped as hanging from the tree he led them too was the case Chris has earlier containing the million dollars. "There it is!"
"Hoot! Hoot!"
(Translation: Found it! What do I win? Hoot?)
"Uum…" Dawn hummed as Lincoln began climbing the tree to get the case. Dawn then grabbed a few leaves and sticks on the ground and used them to make a small crown that she put on the owl's head. "This nice hat!"
"Hoot!"
(Translation: Gasp! I love it! Hoot!)
"I got it!" Lincoln cheered with a giant grin as he managed to get the case off the tree and held it in his hands as the owl flew around in circles. "Quick, let's get out of here before he starts hooting again and gives us away!"
"Got it!" Dawn grinned eagerly as she picked up Edward. "Let's run!"
The couple smiled extremely giddily as they ran in the direction of the dock and shame, the million dollars was as good as theres!
Or was it?
