"Let's stop wasting time and go," Hearing David, Victor nodded.
I then put my hand on the girl's butt and started to grope it. I could tell the girl was surprised before a deep blush appeared on her face.
Leaning in, I whispered in her ear, "Now you belong to me, remember that, if you don't behave, I'll kill you myself."
She meekly nodded, "I understand, young master,"
"Good,"
As we walked, I could hear and basically feel the disgusted gazes that were aimed at me. But I didn't mind.
Acting as a pervert had its benefits.
As I walked, I looked at the giant hall that stretched before me. The last time I saw this hall, it was in pieces with rubble all around it.
The entrance was huge, with a statue of a dragon on top, spreading its wings. Entering the hall, the walls had markings of different draconic-like creatures. As we walked, I noticed a few elders going into a different hall, and my Father did the same. Before separating, he nodded at me, and I nodded back.
After walking for about a minute me and all of the other heirs stopped in front of a giant door. In front of the door, an old man stood there scanning the heirs.
Deciding to use this time wisely, I started to interrogate the girl, "What's your name?"
"Alura, young master,"
'Alura huh?'
That wasn't the name I remembered her by, however, that was fine. This would work better for my plans.
"Now then, Alura, tell me why you broke the rules to come to the ceremony?" I asked, "And why was your hall master against you going to the ceremony? You don't seem that special that he wouldn't risk your life,"
I slowly caressed the assassin's hallmark that was on her neck. Flinching at my touch, I heard her take a breath before she started to explain.
"Grand Master Lennox was intending to give us to his son, young master Henry, after the ceremony. He is planning to make an assassin group that directly serves him."
Hearing that, I nodded, "I assume you were meant to be in that group."
"Yes, however, he is a very cruel and vicious man. I thought if I could get into the ceremony and get a good result, that it would allow me to escape their grasp." She then gestured in a certain direction, "You can look there, young master, he's glaring daggers at you."
I couldn't help but hide my smirk. It was obvious to me that she was lying to me, not just that she was trying to use me to get rid of her enemy.
'Clever girl'
Looking in the direction she gestured to, I saw a youth with dirty blonde hair scowling at me. His grey eyes were looking at me with so much hatred and jealousy that I was surprised that I didn't notice him. If she didn't tell me, I wouldn't have noticed him.
'I guess he was fit to be the son of the assassin hall's leader'
I then remembered the info on Henry and Lennox.
A few years after the patriarch's death, these two guys were thought to be the culprits. However, thanks to a force behind them, they were able to escape. Their status was unknown, but I assumed they were killed after being tracked down by 'that bastard'.
But then a frown appeared on my face.
Looking at the guy's hair, it was clear to see that his bloodline wasn't even close to pure, and from the reports I read back then, I learned he was a bastard child. I also hadn't heard of him being talented or anything similar.
To put it in simpler terms, there was no way for Henry to survive the ceremony with how strict the requirements were for the awakening artifact.
I then asked Alura a question: "Is Lennox that desperate to risk his only child for a better position? From what I can see, that guy is pretty weak and his bloodline doesn't seem all that pure either."
However, to my surprise, Alura gave me an answer, "That's what I thought too, however…" her voice lowered. "5 days ago, 2 of my sisters and I were being abused by him after he got very drunk. In anger my sister said that she wished he would die in the ceremony, but he revealed that his father gave him some sort of blood pill that would make sure he would pass," Alura shivered "If it wasn't for him being so drunk and not remebering I doubt my sisters and I would be alive."
'A blood pill!?'
But then it clicked, "Ah,"
No wonder they betrayed the family! If my guess was right, then what Henry would've eaten was the Primablood Pill. There weren't many pills that increased the chance to awaken; however, with the resources of the assassins' hall, it wouldn't be hard to get the ingredients to make a pill like that.
'If it's true then…'
I quickly made a plan.
"Do you want him dead?" I whispered into her ear
However, she hung her head low, "I would never, young master," but despite her hiding it, I could tell she wanted revenge.
I then whispered something into her ear and ignored the jealous looks directed my way. After I finished telling her, the elder's voice cut through the air.
"Listen here you little shits!" hearing the yell I saw some of the youths flinch. The old guy then told us the rules and said if anyone broke them, he was going to kill them.
Snapping his finger, the door then opened before he gave an order, "Find a seat,"
Entering the giant room, I saw the same dome room as in my past life. The room was filled with seats; however, in the centre of the room, there sat a giant crystal. It was all maybe three to four meters in height and was very wide.
The crystal was doing nothing but glowing a faint blue.
Looking around, I quickly found a seat and kicked off the previous occupant. It wasn't like they could say anything. I sat before patting my lap, giving Alura a signal to sit on it. Blushing even more, she spoke in a soft voice, "uh, young master, I'm a bit dirty…"
"I don't care," I said with a smirk and patted my leg again
"Then excuse me," she replied meekly before sitting on my lap
I saw that there were many more gazes on me, which I ignored, although I could tell what they were saying.
"Pervert" and some gazes even said, "It should've been me!"
Looking in front of me, though, I could see Henry looking straight at us from the other side of the room, causing me to smirk.
I then felt the small rune in my pocket.
