Skye's vision danced around, or at least she made it look like it did. She blinked a few times, slow and dazed, and reached for the bed frame with a trembling hand, she tried to talk: but she stuttered.
"I… I don't know," she murmured, pressing her palm to her temple, unstable was her feet. "I just feel… dizzy."
Leonard's head snapped toward her. In two seconds, he was at her side, his hand slipping beneath her elbow to steady her, holding her, making sure she doesn't fall.
"Skye," he said, his voice low laced with love and concern. "You alright?"
She nodded weakly, just enough to seem real but not enough to convince him.
Her knees folded slightly, another touch of theatre, her attempt of being a good actress and a good undercover. She bent to the edge of the bed like she needed it to keep from collapsing, fake collapsing.
"I'm okay," she whispered. "It's just… everything's catching up with me. The stress and now we are arguing, it's too much for me and the baby."
