Chapter 132 - Chapter 130: Miles' Wish

Miles finally understood the origin of the injuries on Uncle Aaron's body and why the Prowler, his enemy, had to put on a mask and hide his true identity.

"Uncle Aaron, why?" Miles clutched the mask tightly, his face full of disappointment and confusion.

"Miles, I lied to you. I longed for your admiration, and I feel so guilty," Aaron's voice was rough, his eyes filled with regret.

"After I lost my job, I used my knowledge to create equipment and started stealing. I planned to make one last big score and then quit, but Kingpin discovered my true identity. After that, I was stuck in a swamp, unable to escape."

"When I saw you become Spider-Man, you can't imagine how happy I was. You truly are the most outstanding in the family," Aaron continued. His eyes sparkled with pride, as though he saw the hope of family revival in Miles.

Miles listened silently, feeling a mix of emotions. Facing this familiar yet unfamiliar uncle, he didn't know what to do.

After a moment, he spoke up, sharing his own struggles.

"I can't use my abilities properly. They don't recognize me. They see me as just a kid who likes to show off."

Miles lowered his head, his voice filled with frustration and defeat.

Aaron immediately understood the Spider-Men's concerns. After all, the path of a hero was never easy.

"So what do you think, Miles?" Aaron asked.

"I don't know. If they don't respect me, why should I keep trying to help them? Besides, I'm just a burden to them. I'd need them to save me, which would make things even worse," Miles said, frowning, his face full of confusion and helplessness.

"Miles, you saw my fight with that White Spider-Woman, right?" Aaron asked.

"I did. Her name is Ghost-Spider, and you got kicked in here by her," Miles replied sarcastically, bitterness in his words.

"Cough cough cough... I'm not talking about that. What do you think of the strength I showed during that battle?" Aaron coughed hard before continuing.

Miles looked at his uncle's pale face, his heart softening.

"I saw it. At first, the fight with Ghost-Spider was pretty intense. You were really strong."

Aaron smiled faintly, remembering his earlier days.

"Honestly, when I first used that equipment, I crashed into walls countless times and was injured many times. But once, I stood on top of a high building, looking down at the street, and suddenly, I felt a sense of peace. Since then, my skills improved, and fear no longer controlled me. Miles, I want to tell you this: You must believe in your abilities. They will answer your desires."

"Answer my desires?" Miles looked at his hands, slowly closing his eyes.

What exactly is my wish?

"To fulfill Spider-Man's wish?"

No, I'm not that noble.

"Help the other Spider-Men and defeat evil? Become a hero? That doesn't feel right either."

Wait… My wish...

"I wish I could go back to living like a normal kid again, without the pressure of saving the world or facing countless dangers."

Miles' eyes lit up, as he finally realized his deepest desire.

"If that's your wish, then follow the voice inside your heart," Aaron said, his gaze full of understanding.

"But Kingpin's conspiracy will ruin the life I want, so I have to stop him.

It's not about helping the other Spider-Men or fulfilling Spider-Man's wish, but protecting my peaceful life."

Miles' palms glowed with blue electric sparks, which lingered for a long time.

Aaron tossed him a key.

"There's something you'll need in the wardrobe of the room."

"Goodbye, Uncle Aaron."

Miles took the key, opened the door, and left.

Not far away, his father was sitting in a chair.

"Miles, is it over? I'll drive you home, you still need to—"

Before his father could finish his sentence, Miles ran up to him and tightly hugged him.

Chapter 130: Miles' Wish (2/2)

"I love you, Dad."

"Ah???"

Jefferson was taken aback by the sudden hug, looking confused and surprised.

"I love you too, Miles," he said after a moment, gently returning the hug.

"Also, goodbye, Dad. I have plans with some friends, I'll go now."

Miles said quickly and dashed off.

Jefferson watched Miles' retreating figure, waving his hand absentmindedly.

A moment later, he snapped out of his thoughts and rushed into the hospital room.

"No... Uncle Aaron, what did you say to my son?"

"It's nothing…" Aaron replied casually.

On the other side, Miles hurried to his uncle's residence. He opened the wardrobe and discovered a hidden keyhole. He inserted the key and turned it slowly.

The wardrobe moved slowly, revealing a hidden space behind it.

Inside, there was a Prowler suit and several pieces of high-tech equipment that glowed with a cold, eerie light, seemingly waiting for their master's return.

That night, the Spider-Men arrived at a dark building.

"This is where the particle collider is, and Kingpin is inside."

"There's a private elevator. We can use that to go in directly."

"I have a bad feeling about this."

"So do I, but since we're here, there's no turning back."

Without hesitation, the Spider-Men moved quickly. They used the building's ventilation ducts to quietly sneak in, while Damian hid inside the Spider-Mech.

Soon, they reached the underground area.

The particle collider was already releasing a constant flow of energy. In the center of the energy field, the Green Goblin's head lay, emitting a strange and terrifying aura as if it was staring from hell.

"Spider-Man, you're finally here," came Kingpin's deep, oppressive voice from above.

"Kingpin, what are you doing?" Spider-Man demanded.

"Hmph, I want my wife and son back. But before that, I'll clean up all of you annoying bugs."

Kingpin looked at Doctor Octopus, his eyes filled with madness and obsession, like a burning flame ready to consume everything.

"How many universes have you connected?"

"176, and it's still growing."

"Release them all!"

"Yes."

Doctor Octopus, strapped to a chair with only two arms free, slowly pressed the activation button.

In an instant, brilliant particles filled the room, flashing in unpredictable patterns, like a dream or a dangerous trap.

Blue voids appeared out of nowhere.

The loud, shrill sound of maniacal laughter suddenly echoed.

"Hahaha, look what I've found—a group of Spider-Men."

"And us?"

"Peter Parker! I'm going to kill you!"

"Hahahahaha…"

Green figures surged from the void, with demonic masks and voices full of hatred. The mass of figures was chilling, like a horde of ghosts from the abyss.

"Oh my God!"

"This is a nightmare!"

"They look like green bats!"

"Damian, summon the decapitation demon, protect yourself."

"Kekekek, more heads to chop."

"Kingpin, you've gone mad. They'll destroy everything, including you."

Autumn Pants Spider-Man shouted angrily.
