Zara laughed heartily and slapped Nadia's hand away. "Go away."
But Nadia didn't budge. She pressed her hand harder, her face unusually serious. "Does it look like I'm joking?"
Just then, the waiters arrived with their trays.
Zara swallowed hard. A wave of heat crawled up her neck as fear crept in, tightening her chest. But they both kept calm until the waiters turned to leave.
"Do you need anything els—"
"I'll call you if I need anything," Zara cut in, her voice sharp, forcing the waiter to nod and walk away quickly.
Zara leaned in, whispering, "What are you talking about?"
Nadia sat upright and pointed. "You see that black Camry? It's parked across from our car."
Zara followed her finger, her eyes narrowing. Through the restaurant's glass, they could see outside clearly, though those outside couldn't see in.
"Black Camry?" Zara's heart skipped a beat.
Then she saw it.
The exact same car that had been parked outside her house last night.
