The marquis swallowed hard, his already dropping fleshy threat moving in the direction of his action. He was an old man but hearing now that he was going to be killed was something he probably had not been expecting. When he used to know Julio, they were understanding compatriots. But now, even the air around his former partner was all dark.
"Have I done something wrong to you?" The marquis demanded.
"No. I'm sorry, I really wish I could explain but this is beyond me." Julio responded. For the very first time, he actually felt sad. He felt like there was a lot that he needed to know about his past life that would be shut out by this motion.
"I see. Well, I would not question you. I mean, I have lived most of my days without family. My wife died with my child years ago and that has never been over for me." He started explaining.
"Why didn't you remarry?" Julio demanded.
"What's the point? The old boy doesn't work any more. He doesn't even get hard." The man said.
