"What? Boss? But why?" The guard asked suddenly, he seemed really closer to the marquis than every other person.
"Do you now question me?" The marquis demanded.
Quickly, he realised his mistakes and blinked over and over again as he took a step backwards with his hands behind him. His eyes fell as he looked down, avoiding his master's glare.
"I misspoke, boss. Forgive me." He said.
"I didn't hear you quite well!" The marquis said and then burst into a fit of cough.
"I'm so sorry, boss. It will not happen again." The man said to him.
For a while, the marquis coughed and everyone seemed really concerned, even Julio but the man held up his hands. Stopping them all from making any move towards assisting him.
Soon, he was alright and with a last clearing of throat, he resumed speaking.
