Chapter 198 - 198. The Mist covers you

"Ishán! Ishán!" When this was the first thing Kamu heard upon entering the center of the Immortal Mist, the ghost-man almost turned around.

"We won't escape this, my friend." Ajtony appeared next to him, staring at him with folded arms in front of him, as if the world left him completely indifferent.

"Ish..." A black-clad assassin stopped at the end of the corridor.

"What's up?" Kamu grimaced and began to adjust the chakrams held on his wrists with summoning circles.

"I... Uh..." The assassin grunted, which only served to make the first Vietryk of the Immortal Mist press against his wrist.

"I would spit out whatever I wanted if I were you. Kamu is half a minute away from strangling you." The poison-mixing sword ghost noted.

"Our troops have detected attackers from the southeast side of the Floating Barracks." The disgraced assassin said, and the Mist's Isháns looked at each other.

"How many are there?" Kamu asked in a cold voice.

"About fifty, Ishán." Their subordinate bowed his head.

"How many can you take out at once?" Kamu turned to his old friend, who had a wide grin on his face, the grin that made every Immortal Mist member's hair stand on end when they saw it.

"Half of it, but only because I know you want to play." The poison mixer waved. At his words, Kamu's face took on the features known to the Immortal Mist members as the 'Ishán's bloodthirsty smile'.

"Thank you." The ghost-man chuckled, then turned back to his subordinate. "Do we have people out there?" He asked.

"A team of eight is watching the strangers, Ishán." The assassin nodded.

"I see." Kamu nodded, then immediately turned on his heel. "Tell them to retreat. Ajtony!" He glanced at his friend with a grin. "Let's play a game, like we used to!" He announced, and the poison mixer clenched his hands into fists with a broad smile. But then Kamu reached for his belt and unhooked the poison sword from it, then held it towards him by the hilt.

"What?" Ajtony blinked at the weapon, which only made Kamu start giggling.

"You were always better with a sword, I have these here." He raised his free hand and twisted his fist so that the golden rings on his wrist flashed.

"Kamu! Did I tell you that I love you?" Ajtony's eyes sparkled as he took the sword and twisted it in his hand.

"And you're surprised that the team thinks we're together." Kamu muttered under his breath as he walked towards the door.

"Hey, I never said I was surprised, I just said they were wrong." Ajtony spread his arms and leaned the poison sword against his shoulder.

"Zovárd." Kamu rolled his eyes.

"Koál." Ajtony said in the same voice as he closed the door of the Immortal Mist headquarters behind them, not even paying attention to their people staring at them with their mouths open.

The Isháns hurried to the edge of the city with the approaching dawn and by the time they got there, their people were nowhere to be found. All they saw were the strangers approaching under the clouds of smoke. The pair looked at each other, as they used to do in the past, then nodded together and Ajtony moved behind the team.

"Good morning, dear guests. Take it as a gift. I will give you a chance to get your asses out of my territory before the dawn mist descends upon you." Kamu shouted, standing with his arms folded behind him in the middle of the sea road leading to Floating Barracks. However, his words were not heard, the strangers were only getting closer and closer to the city. So Kamu shook his head and sighed. "I warned you! The Mist is descending." He whispered and grinned.

That was all it took, a simple sentence that most people would not have understood. However, Ajtony was aware of Kamu's signals and when the words left his friend's lips, the poison-mixing ghost went into action. A snow-white cloud gathered around the strangers, suppressing the black smoke that surrounded them. It was almost impossible to see anything in the whiteness.

The attacking team only found themselves dying one by one. Some were simply grabbed by the throat and collapsed, some were killed by a yellow-hot sword swung by a laughing figure dressed in black. There were also those who saw a grinning individual dressed in red for the last time before their throats were cut with a round weapon. There were even those who didn't even know where the attack came from and the last thing they saw in their lives was a bronze-colored circle flying towards them.

The strangers barely had time to react before they lost their lives. Then, as quickly as it had appeared, the whiteness dissipated and the last attacker stood alone on the surface of the sea, his companions lying dead on the surface of the water around him, and in front of him stood two figures who seemed unaffected by the blood that covered their bodies.

"Tell your leader not to mess with the Immortal Mist, because next time I won't be so kind as to leave anyone alive." Kamu announced, then turned around and with Ajtony at his side, he headed back to the Mist headquarters.

"They were ötandis." The poison-mixing ghost noted when they got far enough, and his friend just nodded. "What could the ötandis want in our territory?" He asked the question.

"I have no idea, but it would be better if we looked into the matter. When we get back we will send someone down south." Kamu said in a serious voice.

"Ishán. You have returned!" Their people greeted the pair.

"As if that was a question." Kamu rolled his eyes. "The twenty-eighth team should go south I want to know what is happening with the desert country. The nines should clear the corpses from the outskirts of the city." Kamu gave the orders, not even looking at his men, but hurrying straight to his office. "Biaskoncy!" He exclaimed, before the current Vietryk appeared next to him.

"Yes?" He bowed his head to the male leader.

"Gather the deputy director of Floating Air and that chán friend or his and take them to our restaurant." He gave the order with a wave, then stormed into his office and went straight to one of the chests of drawers and began searching inside.

"What are you looking for, Kamu?" The question came from Ajtony.

"A summoning coin." The ghost-man snapped at him, whereupon his friend chuckled and, leaning over his shoulder, took a coin out of a locker.

"Here you go." He handed over the object.

"Thank you." Kamu smiled. "Come on, let's introduce our spy and the Shadows to each other. Maybe we can use them." Ishán chuckled, then he and Ajtony left the Mist headquarters to go to their restaurant, where they used the summoning coin to summon Teveli, who was not at all happy about the early wake-up call.

"What am I here for? I thought you set me up with Suk." The young hegin folded his arms in front of him.

"Relax! I want you to investigate everything about this guy." He handed Teveli a folded letter, Kamu, then grinned. "Yeah, and I want to introduce you to some people." He waved, then when he saw the couple over the boy's shoulder, he opened his hands. "Ah, they're here too." He noted. "Shadows! This is Tele Teveli, my nephew and my best spy. Teveli, and they are the Shadow leaders Mark Sesanti and She Tao. Get to know each other and since you're all spies, I have a task for the three of you." He said, then took another folded letter from Ajtony, which he was holding out for Mark. "Find out everything about this guy for me." He grinned, then patted Teveli on the shoulder. "Come on Ajtony, we still have a lot to do. I'll see you guys later." He waved to the three before he and his friend left the restaurant.

"Do you think they'll get along?" Ajtony asked, looking back at the restaurant.

"They don't have much of a choice." Ishán shrugged.

"You are evil Kamu." Ajtony chuckled.

"Thanks for the compliment." Kamu laughed as they turned into a small street. Meanwhile, in the restaurant, the Shadows silently stared at Teveli until the young hegin raised his hands to his head and spoke with a worried smile on his lips.

"I can explain!"
