Ethan heard Amy's words and was so shocked that he froze immediately. Before he could react, she had already walked up to Steven and handed him the phone.
He rushed forward to try to snatch her phone away, but just as his hand was about to touch it, Steven took the phone right out of his reach.
If this scene were like a slow-motion shot in a TV drama, anyone could’ve clearly seen the fear on Ethan's face.
"Big Brother! No!"
Steven nearly had his eardrums burst by his shout. After giving him a warning look, he looked at the phone.
Ethan silently chanted in his heart, ‘It's over, it's over! Alex, Emma, I've done my best…’
However, the anger he anticipated from Steven did not happen. Ethan stared at his brother, only to see the latter returning Amy's phone with a confused look.
"There's nothing here. What were you trying to show me?"
Amy took the phone back. Just as he said, the news page that was there just moments ago was now blank.
Ethan silently breathed a sigh of relief.
