"This is his punishment. I advise you, young lady, not to meddle in others' affairs if you don't want to suffer the same fate," Emperor Ba warned Emily, who was about to heal Kaia. Frightened, Emily could only pause her actions. "Since we've come here, we never planned to leave alive. Who says we have to tuck our tails and run just because we can't win?" Judo gripped his spear tightly, ready to fight again. "Your resolve is admirable, but courage without ability is futile," Emperor Ba remarked. "How will we know unless we try?" Judo retorted. With that, he transformed into his Thunder God state and led the other warriors in another charge. "Heavenly Thunder Burst!" Judo raised his spear like a deity, and the ceiling was instantly covered with dark clouds as countless high-voltage lightning bolts struck directly at Emperor Ba. Emperor Ba remained calm, not even bothering to raise a shield. The lightning crackled around him, but as the other warriors rushed forward to attack, Emperor Ba snapped his fingers, and the heads of over twenty frontline warriors exploded instantly.
"You bastard!" Judo, enraged by the slaughter of his comrades, charged forward. "It's over, little ones," Emperor Ba said, absorbing all of Judo's energy with a single palm strike. He then condensed the energy into a small thunderball and flicked it back at Judo. The thunderball struck Judo, causing a massive explosion. "Argh!" Judo screamed, his body charred and smoking as he collapsed. "Judo!" Kaia called out helplessly.
The remaining warriors were too terrified to act rashly. With two of their heroes now incapacitated, Emily and the surviving warriors could no longer pose a threat to the Demon King. "Alright, leave now with some dignity, and I might pretend I didn't see you," Emperor Ba issued another warning. "Nonsense! Even without the Holy Sword, I'm still a hero, and I won't let you do as you please!" Kaia declared, conjuring an ordinary sword with magic and preparing to attack. "My patience is wearing thin," Emperor Ba said, firing a beam of light from his fingertip toward Kaia and the others. To protect Emily, Kaia rushed forward and blocked the laser with his sword. But the ordinary iron sword was no match for Emperor Ba's attack. The laser shattered the sword and pierced through Kaia's left shoulder. Kaia fell, bleeding heavily. Emily rushed to him, using her body to cushion his fall. "Kaia!" she cried out in anguish. Meanwhile, Feigo had also fallen in the earlier charge. "Monster, are we really doomed to die here? Why did even Feigo have to die?" Noah wept, looking at his comrade's body. Na'an came over to comfort him, and the group held back tears, glaring at the Demon King.
"It's over," Emperor Ba said, unleashing a massive energy ball from his palm toward the group. As they watched the energy ball grow closer, preparing to meet their end, a flash of light appeared. A mysterious figure drew a sword and sliced the energy ball in two, causing it to explode and dissipate instantly.
"Phew, sorry I'm late," the figure said. Everyone stared in shock. "Isn't that… white?!" Na'an exclaimed. "Yes, it's him! He's alive!" Noah shouted in surprise. "So, the Chosen One has finally arrived," Emperor Ba said, turning to me. "Sorry, sorry, the journey was long, and I had to make a quick bathroom stop," I said, scratching my head. "You've been with Enis this whole time, haven't you? I sensed a powerful energy by her side long ago, but since it's her territory, I didn't interfere," Emperor Ba said, seemingly seeing through my origins. "Sorry, I haven't introduced myself. The name's white. I was part of the Demon Realm's expeditionary force, but I got separated from the team and was taken in by Enis. She not only looked after me but also taught me all sorts of skills. She's my partner now, and I've come to personally apologize and pay my respects," I said respectfully to Emperor Ba. "You're with her? Hahaha, that's more unbelievable than any miracle!" Emperor Ba burst into laughter. The others watched in stunned silence as the two of us chatted and laughed.
