"Nooo," I mumbled to myself, my mind mesmerized by everything.
My eyes took in the sight of the living room stretched out before me, resting on the beautiful portrait of a woman curled around her child.
Her smile eminent as she cradled the little child in her hands. The sight stirred up something unusual in me as I moved closer, leaving the couch I had sat in, my arms trailing the white and blue painting before me.
I didn't know how I felt. But I trailed my eyes through its lines, my mind mesmerized with the sight of the little child with the golden pendant as described by that mysterious woman.
Even though I still didn't know how I felt, a pang still settled at the depth of my heart as I imagined the little child abandoned in the bushes, with no care until someone picked her up.
My life and everything about me replaying in my head. If it's actually true what she had said, who then is my mum?
