Chapter 29 - Flame Out

When he opened the book, he felt lost in its pages. He saw many things but didn't understand their meaning. Then, a voice interrupted his thoughts.

"Listen, boy. This is a magic book filled with many magical skills from all sides. I possess the fire side, and I can teach you a little of my power. I will only teach you one skill; the rest you must learn from the book in your hands"

Though Rayan could make little sense of the mysterious book, a quiet joy stirred within him, the king himself would be his teacher, and at last, he would have the chance to unleash the skills he had long kept hidden "I don't know how to thank you, Your Majesty."

The King Zevril smiled slightly "By achieving your dreams"

Zevril : "Now come with me, boy. I'll teach you how to set a small fire; or rather, how to start a little blaze"

He began to teach him the skill that would make him light fires. "You have to focus on what you want to use, boy."

Rayan looked confused.

Zevril : "Look boy, it's not that difficult. I think you can project the fire aura."

Rayan remembered what Lucas had taught him and was able to project a fire aura.

Zevril : "Good work, boy. Now I'm going to put this paper in front of you. Try to focus the fire on it."

Rayan unleashed his fire aura, and flames quickly enveloped his hands, dancing with a life of their own. He fixed his gaze on the paper before him, channeling all his focus into a single point.

Zevril stepped closer, his voice a blend of encouragement and quiet authority:

"Come on, boy. You're doing well... Just imagine the flames in your hands setting the paper ablaze."

A thin wisp of smoke began to curl up from the paper's edge, twisting as if tasting the fire; then, suddenly, it caught flame.

Rayan shouted, overwhelmed with awe and excitement

"I did it! I finally did it! The paper is burning!"

A surge of joy washed over him, as though the fire he had summoned had also lit something within.

The king, watching intently, raised his brows in genuine surprise, unable to hide his admiration

"Well done, boy... You truly are gifted."

Rayan was overwhelmed with joy when he saw astonishment flicker across the king's face; his skills had truly made an impression. Yet his happiness deepened even further when he realized, with quiet awe, that he had just awakened one of his hidden abilities for the very first time.

But the king presented him with yet another challenge.

"Listen, boy, This one is far easier than the last. Take this piece of paper."

Rayan accepted the challenge without hesitation. The king gestured toward it, his intent clear; it was to be burned.

A faint smile touched Rayan's lips. This task required no effort.

The moment he summoned the fire aura from his hands, delicate flames danced across the edges of the paper. Within seconds, it was nothing but a wisp of ash, crumbling silently in the air. "Okay boy you are very good and talented but now I have nothing else to teach you, But you shouldn't use fire too much until you're able to use your other sides"

Rayan was confused. He didn't know how he was going to learn the rest of the sides.

But the king only has the fire side, so he can't help him with any other side. They left the king's palace and Rayan and Lucas had a conversation. "Mr. Lucas, what should I do now?"

Lucas : "Now, boy, I will return you to the kingdom where you live; In Zenithra, and You can meet Martin and he will help you with the rest."

Lucas took Rayan the same way he came.
