Hancock's words made Enel laugh.
This was the first time he'd shown this laugh to Alistair. "Yeyehahahaha… What can a woman do?"
He didn't see the pained expression on Ace's face.
He'd never been beaten by Hancock.
But he'd been beaten by Ran.
Amazonian women are monsters!
He was unlike Alistair, who'd never been beaten.
He never showed off his strength against Amazonian women.
He intended for Dalton to fight first, then Hancock.
But seeing Enel's arrogance provoke Hancock, Alistair didn't interfere; let Enel experience a Shichibukai's true strength.
To prevent his arrogance.
Hancock walked towards Enel.
"Don't say I'm bullying you, woman." Enel sneered, knowing she had skills and hidden weapons. The difference between Logia and Paramecia/Zoan types was that Logia's wide-range attacks could harm opponents without being touched.
He couldn't be sure if she could catch him, but standing still and discharging electricity would leave her defenseless.
"Don!" A drum sound came from his right shoulder. He pointed at Hancock. "Thirty million volts."
Numerous electric currents formed into chirping thunderbirds, attacking Hancock.
Hancock had never faced such a strong Logia user, but as a veteran Shichibukai, as the thunderbirds appeared, a metallic Haki covered her body.
She could cover her entire body with Haki!
This was understandable; even Vergo could cover his upper body; Hancock, from Amazon Lily, could certainly cover her entire body with Armament Haki.
Any Amazonian warrior would struggle against Enel's powerful Logia attacks.
But she was the Pirate Empress, a Shichibukai!
She calmly passed through the attack, reaching Enel, kicking him with her Haki-coated leg.
Enel snorted; he lacked Armament Haki, but he had Observation Haki.
He transformed into lightning to dodge.
But a heart-stopping feeling overwhelmed him; his transformation failed; he stood still, receiving the kick.
Hancock could have ended the fight; anyone hit by her fragrance-infused kick would be petrified.
But she saw Alistair wanted to subdue Enel like Ace; an unpetrified Enel could take more punishment…
Enel's words had touched her pride.
She wasn't a violent, but as the strongest in Alistair's crew, she had to maintain her dignity.
No one could currently replace her.
Logias were strong, but Ace and Enel were still inexperienced.
Compared to Hancock, with mastery over all three types of Haki, they were inferior.
Enel "saw" her attack and "dodged" it.
But with a slight movement of her Conqueror's Haki, his transformation failed; he received a powerful kick, suffering a concussion.
This was a fully powered Armament Haki kick.
Enel's eyes rolled back.
But an electric current surged through him; he regained consciousness, drenched in sweat, no longer relaxed.
The exchange lasted two seconds; Enel was decisively defeated, shocking the pirates and Shandorians.
"Such a huge difference," Ace murmured to Alistair.
"What was that?!" Enel wiped his sweat, panicked.
He'd been similarly shocked by Luffy's immunity to lightning. But this was overwhelming.
What stopped his transformation?
"Conqueror's Haki, you country bumpkin." Hancock, leaning back, visible to Alistair, shouted.
"The Empress's 180-degree scorn from excessive contempt!" Dalton exclaimed.
"Another thing I don't know…" Enel, wiping blood from his mouth and nose, looked like he'd been pulled from water. The self-inflicted electric shock had exhausted him, but he had to do it; losing consciousness in battle was fatal; it handed control to the enemy. Wyper's Impact Shell and Seastone attack in the original story was fatal; only his self-revival technique saved him.
He was decisive.
Facing Ace and Hancock, whom he couldn't defeat, he abandoned his plan to subdue Alistair.
His eyes glanced at Alistair; Hancock's Observation Haki saw his intentions.
She was enraged.
"You dare?!" Conqueror's Haki erupted, affecting everyone except five elite Shandorians; the pirates fainted.
Enel, in his elemental form, was paralyzed.
A red-heart arrow flew towards him: "Captive Arrow!"
