Chapter 86 - OPRS: Chapter 86

"Both of us are Logia-type Devil Fruit users. I have Armament Haki, you don't, so I can defeat you…"

"But if we're both Logia-types, and my Observation Haki is superior, even with your Armament Haki, you can't hit me, so I can defeat you…"

Devil Fruit power, Observation Haki, and Armament Haki form a triangle; a well-rounded fighter needs all three to gain an advantage.

As for easy victories…

Logia types have an advantage, but that's it. Strength allows for easy victories regardless.

What's the difference between using Rokushiki and a straight punch?

Don't focus on weaknesses; look upwards.

Only Zephyr and Alistair truly understood this.

The question was: a master of Observation Haki, and a master of Armament Haki—which Logia user wins?

The answer was: endurance.

The battle lasted thirty minutes; the Shandorians received first aid—Alistair hadn't taught them burn treatment, but basic first aid.

The Shandorians, humbled, watched the battle intently.

Alistair, unfazed, explained the situation to the pirates.

"Observe carefully; this is a rare clash between Logia users—a top-tier battle."

"It will last a long time. Ace's Observation Haki is rudimentary; he can't hit Enel. But even with superior Observation Haki, Enel, lacking Armament Haki, can't seriously injure Ace."

Alistair's words made Enel glare at him; he had the advantage, but couldn't defeat Ace; Alistair was right; to defeat a Logia, a counter-ability was needed.

"Enel, how about a break? Let you see my subordinates' strength." Alistair smiled, shouting.

His mentality had changed; he'd assessed Enel's strength.

But their earlier interaction made Enel less threatening.

Enel, who even Ace couldn't defeat, likely couldn't defeat Dalton.

Alistair also possessed Observation Haki; Enel couldn't read his mind.

He transformed into lightning, appearing on another cloud, looking displeased. "What do you mean?"

"A Logia's greatest strength isn't fighting another Logia." Alistair, unfazed, explained how to use Logia powers. "You can ignore Ace and attack us from behind."

"If your opponent doesn't care about their allies, that's fine. But if they do, they'll endure your attacks."

Alistair's cheerful explanation shocked everyone.

No one was this reckless; teaching an opponent how to defeat you?

Hancock stepped forward, shielding Alistair. Ace looked back, confused.

"Do you think I'd do that?" Enel looked down at Alistair. The fight with Ace was challenging, but he remained optimistic; after defeating Ace, there'd be no more Logia users, increasing his chances of subduing Alistair.

You would… Alistair thought.

In the original story, he enjoyed killing his priests and Shandorians; his Ark Maxim was complete; everything else was trivial.

But that was when he was unstoppable. Now, with a strong opponent, asking Enel to ignore Ace and attack the others…

Would Enel lose face?

Even if he wanted to, Alistair's words blocked his retreat.

Enel, angered, beckoned Ace. "Let's continue, kid. We haven't finished!"

Ace clenched his fists; he was ready. He'd heard Alistair's explanation; this was a tough battle.

But it was also a trial.

"No, your next opponent is Dalton." Alistair pointed at Dalton, smoking a cigarette.

"A woman?" Enel glanced at Dalton, angering Dalton and Hancock.

"You dare insult me with a woman?" He sneered.

He looked down on women.

Skypiea lacked strong women; they were mostly treated equally.

This is why Robin's trickery was easily countered; he disliked such women.

But he had male instincts; he found Nami's presence on his ship enjoyable.

But he genuinely underestimated women's combat ability.

"Enough," Hancock said, flicking her kimono.

"I can't stand it. How arrogant."

"I'll fight! Okay, Alistair?" She asked, but she'd already decided.

Hancock was indeed a woman.

Alistair smiled, pushing her forward. "Go, Hancock."
