[3:00 PM]
After realizing you were being watched, you didn't resist much inside the sealed chamber. Instead, like a curious child, you fumbled around the room for a while.
Then, you sat dazed for a moment, lifted your water bottle absentmindedly for a sip, rubbed your belly, picked up an onigiri and took a few bites—only to toss it aside because it had gone cold.
After burning off that burst of energy and with your stamina at rock bottom, you lay down and closed your eyes, continuing to guide and develop your bloodline power. Since you never made a move, your chakra remained fully suppressed and your presence undetectable. No sound escaped.
Watching your behavior through the surveillance feed, Danzo's wariness gradually began to fade.
However, as the shadow of the shinobi world and a fox among foxes, Danzo's confidence in cultivating you came from a far deeper place—his right eye, wrapped tightly in bandages.
[4:00 PM]
Seeing that you refused to eat cold food, Danzo sighed in frustration.
"As expected of a pampered child from a noble clan... training you will take time."
Shortly after, a muffled sound came from the door of your chamber. The heavy stone door opened just a crack, and a warm meal in a bento box was slid through a small window.
Smelling the food while lying there starving, you immediately jumped up and tore into it.
Watching you eat your fill and then sit quietly in the corner with your eyes closed, Danzo nodded in satisfaction. He stepped out of the room and called for a Root shinobi to be assigned to observing and documenting your behavior.
[5:00 PM]
The Night of the Massacre had begun.
The Uchiha District had descended into utter chaos. With the police force wiped out effortlessly by Obito, the clan head offering himself willingly, and the elders and branch family leaders being executed one after another by Obito and Uchiha Itachi, the remaining clan members scattered like terrified lambs.
Their only remaining value was in dying painfully—triggering more awakenings of the three-tomoe Sharingan.
You remained still in your chamber, like a corpse. You devoted yourself entirely to unlocking the potential of your bloodline.
[6:00 PM]
As the massacre neared its end, Itachi created shadow clones and began going door to door, delivering final blows to those severely wounded or hiding in corners.
You still didn't move, suppressing the furious bloodline surges in your body brought on by the mass deaths of your kin. Your Spirit and Ocular Power were rising rapidly and beyond your control.
On the highest rooftop of the Hokage Tower, Danzo leaned on his cane beside Hiruzen Sarutobi. Through the crystal ball, the two men watched the spectacle unfold. Both felt they had honored their master's teachings at last. The old tension between them had begun to dissolve in the blood-soaked feast below.
[7:00 PM]
You desperately suppressed the chaos within—the violent fluctuations of your bloodline brought on by the deaths of your kin.
Meanwhile, Sasuke returned home late from the Academy. Walking through the desolate district, the overwhelming scent of blood made him tremble in fear. When he finally reached home and saw his parents lying in a pool of blood, he passed out instantly.
At the same time, Obito, using his intangibility, bypassed the powerful barriers around the Uchiha Shrine and entered the clan's ancestral chamber. There, he found the room where generations of Sharingan had been stored. He shoved handfuls of three-tomoe Sharingan into a specially designed iron box and took them away.
Soon after, Sasuke woke up again. He ran outside in a panic, only to witness a sight that would haunt him for the rest of his life—under the blood-red moonlight, his own brother crouched atop a telephone pole, Mangekyō Sharingan activated. Again and again, Itachi forced Sasuke to relive the slaughter of their parents within his mind.
Under the torment of the Tsukuyomi, Sasuke's eyes awakened the single-tomoe Sharingan. But due to his young age and physical weakness, his Sharingan shut down shortly after awakening.
[8:00 PM]
Itachi departed with Obito, whose arms were now full of loot. Root arrived at the scene to clean up the aftermath.
As previously agreed, the Uchiha clan's jutsu scrolls and the Sharingan of the dead were handed over to Danzo. Sasuke, on the other hand, was entrusted to Hiruzen Sarutobi.
[9:00 PM]
You still sat in the chamber, eyes closed, your expression one of intense pain. But your Spirit and Ocular Power continued to surge.
Several explosions rang out in the Uchiha District. Flames consumed entire blocks before Root finally managed to extinguish them.
Because of this, the ANBU couldn't make a precise count of the Uchiha casualties. A few Root operatives even died trying to put out the blaze. Hiruzen, lacking the grounds to demand answers from Danzo, could only shoot him a furious glare.
Danzo, unfazed, draped an arm around his shoulder and asked if he wanted to accompany him to the hospital—to visit the Uchiha clan's sole survivor, Itachi's younger brother, Uchiha Sasuke.
[10:00 PM]
The chaotic bloodline energy in your body slowly began to settle. Thanks to the guidance of your bloodline meditation technique, your bloodline power was being channeled, enhancing your physical abilities while also making the impact of this night all the more intense.
But you finally endured it. The surge of Ocular Power in your eyes told you that you were just one step away from awakening the three-tomoe Sharingan.
Unfortunately, the massive drain caused by the bloodline chaos left you completely exhausted. You passed out.
The Root operative monitoring you immediately carried you to the infirmary.
Meanwhile, Danzo and Hiruzen arrived at Konoha Hospital. Under the guidance of a medical-nin, they checked on Sasuke's condition. Once they confirmed his injuries were only minor abrasions, both men sighed in relief.
But upon hearing that Sasuke had suffered mental trauma, Hiruzen's brows furrowed deeply.
Danzo, however, waved off the medical staff and personally pulled back Sasuke's eyelid. Inside the red pupil floated a single black tomoe, suspended in silence.
He had awakened the Sharingan—but it faded just as quickly, the red pupil and dark tomoe vanishing to reveal a normal black eye once again.
Hiruzen and Danzo exchanged a glance and smiled. After a discussion, they concluded that Sasuke's age and weak constitution made it impossible for him to maintain the Sharingan for now.
They began drafting a plan for Sasuke's development. He would remain in the Academy, be encouraged to form new friendships, rebuild his emotional bonds, and gradually improve his physical condition.
As for his Jonin instructor after graduation, the ideal candidate was Kakashi Hatake—loyal to the village, already possessing a Sharingan, and with prior ties to Uchiha Itachi. Their ultimate goal was to raise Sasuke into the perfect assistant for the next Hokage.
With Sasuke's future settled, Danzo left quietly.
Watching Danzo, who showed no interest in Sasuke at all, Hiruzen couldn't help feeling puzzled. But then again, the clan's jutsu and Sharingan had all gone to Danzo—perhaps the old snake was simply full now.
[11:00 PM]
Danzo returned to the Root headquarters and looked down at your unconscious body on the hospital bed.
He lifted your eyelids to check your eyes. Seeing nothing but black pupils, his expression darkened slightly with disappointment.
Beside the bed, a Root operative stepped forward and asked Danzo whether they could now dismantle the reverse summoning barrier set up in the Uchiha District. Danzo nodded.
Silently listening to all this, your earlier idea—to escape using the Reverse Summoning Technique—was quietly snuffed out...
