The journey to the Forbidden Court was tense and stressful, but more importantly, the air between the two leaders was heavy with unspoken grievance. Kael and Kelly rode side by side but glared at each other—if eyes could kill, they would be dead from glaring alone.
As they drew closer to the lands of the Forbidden Court, Kelly turned to Kael, her fingers tightening on the leash of her ride, and her eyes burned with something.
