"Wait," Caden said suddenly, stepping between Aria and the hallway where the awful breathing was getting louder. "I know how to stop this."
"How?" Aria whispered, her heart pounding against her ribs.
"The prophecy. It said the Moon Wolf has to choose between restoring or destroying.
But what if there's a third option?"
"Like what?" Caleb ordered, his golden eyes fixed on the dark entrance.
"What if we remake everything? Not just fix the old system, but build something completely new?"
The wet breathing stopped. Even Lydia's body seemed to be listening.
"Explain. Fast," Seraphina urged.
Caden's ice-blue eyes blazed with sudden fire. "I've been thinking about this for years. A pack where it doesn't matter if you're born Alpha or Omega. Where everyone has value."
"That's impossible," Cyrus scoffed, though his voice shook. "There have to be leaders—"
"There can be leaders without slaves," Caden shot back. "Leaders who earn respect instead of demanding it."
