Broly's fist connected with Cumber's jaw in a thunderous impact that sent shockwaves rippling across Hell's crimson landscape.
The ground beneath them cracked, debris floating upward from the sheer force of the collision.
For a moment, everything went silent.
Then Cumber's head slowly turned back to face Broly, completely unfazed by the blow that should have shattered mountains.
"Is that all?" the Super Saiyan 4 asked, his voice deeper and more refined than his Oozaru roars had been. A cruel smile spread across his fur-framed face. "The so-called Legendary Super Saiyan can't even make me flinch?"
Broly's pupil-less eyes widened slightly, the only indication of his surprise. He immediately followed with a barrage of punches, each moving faster than the eye could track, his massive green-tinged muscles flexing with each strike.
Cumber caught the final punch casually between two fingers.
"You know what's truly pathetic?" Cumber said, his crimson eyes boring into Broly's blank white ones. "You actually believe you're the legend."
With a casual flick of his wrist, he sent Broly flying backward through several rock formations.
The Legendary Super Saiyan crashed through stone and earth before managing to halt his momentum, leaving a trench carved into Hell's surface.
"You're nothing but a cheap imitation," Cumber continued, casually brushing fur from his shoulder. "A pale shadow of the true God of War."
Broly erupted from the rubble, his aura flaring brighter as his power continued to climb. Veins bulged across his massive frame as he launched himself at Cumber again.
"SHUT UP!" he roared, his voice carrying madness and rage.
This time, his attacks came faster, stronger, each punch and kick carrying enough force to shatter galaxies. The air itself seemed to warp around his limbs from the sheer speed of his attacks.
Yet Cumber dodged each strike with minimal movement, his body swaying just enough to avoid contact. His expression remained calm, almost bored, as he studied Broly's technique.
"Unrefined. Wasteful. Predictable," he critiqued between dodges. "Is this truly the best the bloodline has to offer after so many millennia?"
Broly's rage intensified, his power climbing even higher. His muscles bulged further, his green aura growing more chaotic as bolts of bio-electricity crackled around him.
"I AM THE LEGENDARY SUPER SAIYAN!" he bellowed, cupping his hands at his side. Green energy coalesced between his palms, swirling and compressing into a sphere of devastating power. "OMEGA BLASTER!"
The attack erupted forward, a massive beam of emerald destruction that carved through Hell's landscape, vaporizing everything in its path. The beam struck Cumber directly, enveloping him completely.
For a moment, Broly's face lit up with savage triumph.
Then a hand emerged from within the beam, fingers spread wide. With casual ease, Cumber caught the Omega Blaster, his palm stopping the attack's advance completely.
He closed his fist, and the massive energy blast compressed into a tiny sphere before vanishing entirely.
"My turn," Cumber said softly.
He moved so fast he seemed to teleport, appearing directly in front of Broly. Before the Legendary Super Saiyan could react, Cumber drove his fist into his stomach with such force that Broly's eyes bulged, spittle flying from his mouth.
"The bloodline has grown weak," Cumber whispered into Broly's ear as the larger Saiyan doubled over. "You're nothing compared to the First Legend. Nothing compared to me."
Cumber followed with an uppercut that sent Broly soaring skyward.
He appeared above the ascending Saiyan, clasped both hands together, and hammered him back toward the ground.
Broly crashed into Hell's surface with enough force to create a crater half a mile wide.
As dust and debris billowed upward, Cumber descended slowly, landing at the crater's edge. He peered down at Broly's prone form with contempt.
"Already finished? I was hoping for more entertainment."
To his surprise, Broly began to laugh. The sound started low, then built into a maniacal crescendo as he pushed himself up from the crater floor. Blood trickled from his mouth, but his eyes burned with undiminished madness.
"Entertainment?" Broly repeated, his voice carrying an edge of delight despite his injuries. "I'm just getting started!"
His aura erupted around him with renewed intensity, the ground beneath him disintegrating from the pressure of his energy. The very air seemed to warp as his power continued to increase.
"Yes!" Cumber exclaimed, genuine excitement crossing his features for the first time. "That's it! Show me the power of our bloodline!"
Broly charged again, but this time his movements were different - more focused, more precise.
He feinted left, then struck from the right, landing a solid blow to Cumber's ribs that actually made the Super Saiyan 4 grunt in surprise.
"Better," Cumber acknowledged, his red tail swishing behind him. "You're learning."
For several minutes, they exchanged blows at speeds that defied comprehension, their clashes creating shockwaves that reshapped Hell's landscape with each impact.
Mountains crumbled, chasms opened in the earth, and the crimson sky itself seemed to crack under the pressure of their power.
Yet despite Broly's continually increasing strength, Cumber maintained the upper hand. For every blow Broly landed, Cumber delivered three in return, each more devastating than the last.
"Do you know why you can't win?" Cumber asked as he blocked a particularly vicious punch. "Because you're fighting with raw power alone. I've had decades to perfect my technique."
He demonstrated his point by catching Broly's next punch, twisting the arm behind his back, and driving him face-first into the ground.
"The First Legend could level galaxies with a thought," Cumber continued, grinding Broly's face into the dirt. "But it wasn't just his power that made him feared. It was his skill, his strategy, his absolute mastery of combat."
He released Broly suddenly, stepping back as the Legendary Super Saiyan struggled to his feet.
"You're nothing but a brute with a genetic gift," Cumber concluded. "A disappointment to our lineage."
Broly's response was to cup his hands at his side once more, gathering energy for another Omega Blaster.
This time, the sphere grew even larger, pulsing with unstable power that threatened to break free of his control.
"THIS WILL END YOU!" Broly roared, his voice cracking with strain as he poured more and more power into the attack.
Cumber simply smiled, spreading his arms wide.
"By all means," he invited. "Show me everything you have."
Broly unleashed the attack, a beam twice as large as his previous one. It tore through the air, carrying enough power to destroy an entire cluster of galaxies.
The light from the blast turned Hell's crimson sky momentarily green as it bore down on Cumber.
This time, instead of catching it, Cumber raised a single finger. The Omega Blaster struck the digit and stopped completely, as if it had hit an immovable object.
With a casual flick, Cumber sent the beam skyward, where it exploded harmlessly in the upper atmosphere of Hell.
"Impossible..." Broly whispered, his confidence finally cracking.
"No," Cumber replied, lowering his finger. "Merely the difference between me and you. You truly are nothing compared to my elder brother. Dare I say a weakling even compared to our youngest- Yamoshi."
He vanished, reappearing directly in front of Broly.
Before the Legendary Super Saiyan could react, Cumber delivered a devastating combination - a punch to the solar plexus, an elbow to the jaw, a knee to the ribs, and finally a spinning kick that sent Broly flying into the distance, crashing through several mountains before disappearing from sight.
Cumber dusted his hands and began walking casually in the direction Broly had been thrown, whistling a jaunty tune.
"Little lambs, little lambs, let me in," he sang softly, his voice carrying across the devastated landscape. "For I am the butcher, and you are my kin."
-------------------------
Aboard the ship hovering above Hell's surface, Toji watched the battle with growing concern. His mind raced through possibilities, each more dire than the last.
'This is bad,' he thought, his eyes tracking Cumber's casual dismantling of Broly. 'Super Saiyan 4 Cumber is at least hundreds- if not thousands upon thousands of times stronger than Broly. And I just spent hours mocking and humiliating him.'
His gaze shifted briefly to Freeza, who stood watching the battle with calculating eyes. The sight of her sent a spike of fear through him unlike anything he'd felt before.
'And now Freeza is here. In Hell. Where Cumber can get to her.'
The irony wasn't lost on him. Just minutes ago, he had been taunting Cumber mercilessly, calling him a eunuch, mocking his death, exploiting every psychological weakness he could find.
And now one of his own greatest weaknesses stood within arm's reach, completely exposed to a being who specialized in exploiting vulnerabilities.
'If he gets his hands on her...'
The thought was too horrific to complete. Toji had seen what Cumber had done to the wife of the First Legend. What he might do to Freeza in revenge against Toji didn't bear thinking about.
His eyes narrowed as he watched Cumber casually deflect Broly's Omega Blaster with a single finger.
'I need to get everyone out of here. Now.'
"You need to leave," Toji said abruptly, turning to face Freeza. "All of you. Fly the ship and get out of Hell."
Freeza's eyes narrowed, her tail swishing behind her in irritation. "I don't take orders from anyone, not even you. I am not afraid of some monkey."
"This isn't a request, Freeza," Toji replied, his voice hardening. "That 'monkey' is now strong enough to tear you apart. You need to go."
"I am the Empress of the Universe," Freeza retorted, her chin lifting defiantly. "I do not flee from battles, especially not from Saiyans."
Something in Toji snapped. In an instant, he was directly in front of her, his face inches from hers, eyes blazing with an intensity that made even Freeza take a step back.
"LISTEN TO ME FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIFE AND DO AS I SAY!" he roared, his voice echoing through the ship.
Everyone froze, stunned by the outburst. Goku's mouth fell open in shock. Vegeta's eyes widened. Piccolo's stoic expression cracked into one of surprise.
But most telling was Freeza's reaction. She stood perfectly still, violet eyes wide with genuine shock.
In all their time together, through all their conflicts and battles, Toji had never raised his voice at her like this.
Not since that terrible moment when she had threatened to kill their unborn child had she seen such raw emotion in his eyes.
As their gazes locked, Freeza saw something she hadn't expected - not just anger, but fear. Not for himself, but for her.
The possessiveness was there, as always, but now mixed with a desperate protectiveness that bordered on panic.
For once in her life, Freeza found herself without a sharp retort. The intensity in Toji's eyes, the slight tremor in his hands as they clenched at his sides, told her everything she needed to know about the seriousness of the situation.
After a moment of tense silence, she gave a single, curt nod.
Toji didn't waste a second. He closed his eyes, reaching out with his mind and voice simultaneously.
"Satan! Lady Amaranth! I need you both. Now!"
The air shimmered, and two figures materialized on the ship.
Satan appeared first, his obsidian skin gleaming under the ship's lights, golden chains clinking softly at his wrists and neck.
His features arranged themselves into a look of polite interest.
Lady Amaranth arrived a moment later in a swirl of crimson energy, her blood-red hair flowing upward as if underwater, her alabaster skin practically glowing.
Her eyes immediately fixed on Toji with undisguised hunger.
"My magnificent destroyer!" she exclaimed, her voice shifting unnervingly between aristocratic formality and crude familiarity. "We knew you would desire Our presence eventually. The Amaranth is fucking delighted to be summoned by one so worthy of Our attention."
Toji ignored her comment completely, his focus remaining on the immediate threat. "I need you both to take everyone here and get them out of Hell. Now."
Satan inclined his head slightly. "An interesting request, Boundary-Breaker. Might one inquire as to your plan?"
"I'm going after Broly," Toji replied curtly. "The two of us together might have a chance against Cumber, but I can't focus if I'm worried about..." His eyes flickered toward Freeza briefly before returning to Satan.
"I see," Satan said, a knowing smile playing at the corners of his mouth. "And you trust us with your... companions?"
"I don't have much choice," Toji admitted.
Lady Amaranth stepped closer, a thoughtful expression on her face. "Hmm..." she began before a smirk appeared on her face, "The Amaranth will assist you, glorious destroyer, but there must be fucking payment."
Toji sighed internally knowing he should've expected this.
"What do you want?" he asked.
Everyone watched the two, there was a strange tension between them.
"A... kiss from those lips that have tasted divinity would suffice." She answered.
Freeza's aura flared violently, her eyes narrowing to dangerous slits. "Who exactly do you think you are?" she hissed, her tail lashing behind her. "How dare you make such demands of my-"
"Enough!" Satan interrupted, raising a placating hand. "This is hardly the time for such... negotiations." He turned to Toji, his expression growing more serious.
"Cumber has broken Hell's laws. His body should have reset to its Oozaru state after your battle, yet he maintains his new form. His power now eclipses the rules that bind souls here."
"Which means?" Toji pressed impatiently.
"Which means he is a threat to us all," Satan replied simply. "Even to those who call Hell home."
"Then help me," Toji insisted. "Get everyone to safety while I deal with him."
Satan tilted his head thoughtfully. "Perhaps a different approach would be more effective. Your companions could serve as... bait, drawing Cumber's attention while you position yourself for a more decisive strike."
Toji moved so quickly that even Satan didn't see it coming. Suddenly, the fallen creator found himself pinned against the wall of the ship, Toji's hand around his throat.
"If you ever suggest using my wife as bait again," Toji growled, his voice dropping to a dangerous whisper, "I will tear you apart piece by piece and scatter your essence across dimensions."
Satan's eyes widened slightly, but he quickly raised his hands in a gesture of peace. "Merely a suggestion, Boundary-Breaker. No offense intended."
Toji released him and stepped back, extending his hand palm up. "Give it to me."
Satan looked down at Toji's outstretched hand, then back to his face.
'So I was right. The Boundary-Breaker has indeed done his research the past months, listening to the Scrounger, and before to Skirk the Knowledgeable.'
A slow smile spread across his features as he placed his own hand over Toji's.
"A wise choice," Satan murmured, his voice too low for the others to hear. "Though I wonder if you will... succeed in enacting this bold plan."
"That's my problem to worry about," Toji replied curtly, closing his fist. He turned back to the others. "Go with them. They'll get you out of Hell."
Without waiting for a response, Toji blasted out of the ship, flying toward the distant crash site where Broly had landed.
--------------------------
Toji arrived to find Broly struggling to stand amidst a field of rubble. The Legendary Super Saiyan's body was covered in bruises and cuts, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.
Despite this, his aura continued to pulse with power, growing stronger with each passing second.
"You," Broly growled, recognizing Toji. "What do you want?"
"I'm here to help," Toji replied, landing nearby. "Cumber's too strong for either of us to handle alone."
Broly spat blood onto the ground. "I don't need help. My power grows constantly. Soon I'll surpass him."
"Not fast enough," Toji countered, gesturing to the approaching footsteps that made the ground tremble beneath them. "Listen. You can hear him coming. Whistling that twisted song."
Indeed, Cumber's eerie singing carried across the devastated landscape: "Little lambs, little lambs, time to die. The butcher's come to bleed you all dry..."
"I need you to break these," Toji said, pointing to the remaining chains of Heaven still binding his neck and left wrist. "Free me completely, and together we might stand a chance."
Broly sneered, towering over Toji. "Why should I help you? You freed me just to fight your battle. You're using me, just like everyone else."
Toji moved with startling speed, grabbing Broly by the shoulders and pulling him down until they were face to face.
"Listen to me, you arrogant fool," he hissed. "This isn't just my battle. It's yours too. You just got your freedom after being controlled your entire life. How long do you think that freedom will last once Cumber's done with me? How long before he comes for you again?"
Broly's blank eyes narrowed, but Toji continued, his grip tightening.
"Is that how you want to die? Humiliated? Forgotten? A mockery to your legend? The First Legend would be ashamed to see his descendant fall so pathetically."
Something flickered in Broly's expression - a moment of clarity cutting through the battle madness.
He stared down at Toji, towering over him despite Toji's own impressive height, seemingly on the verge of attacking.
Then, with a growl of frustration, he reached out and grabbed the chains binding Toji's neck and wrist. With a savage yank, he shattered them completely.
The effect was immediate and dramatic. Toji's power exploded outward in a wave of black energy that turned the very air around them dark.
The ground beneath his feet cracked and disintegrated, floating upward as his aura flared with unrestrained power.
For a moment, everything around them was plunged into darkness for miles. Then, gradually, Toji reabsorbed his ki, bringing the environment back to its normal crimson hue.
The sound of footsteps grew louder, accompanied by that chilling whistle. The ground shook with each step as Cumber approached, his silhouette becoming visible through the dust cloud ahead.
Without hesitation, Toji grabbed Broly's hand and placed something in his palm.
"Put this on your left ear," he commanded.
Broly looked down, confused to see a small, round earring in his hand. "What is this supposed to-"
"Just do it!" Toji snapped, already placing the matching earring on his own right ear. "We don't have time to argue!"
Grumbling, Broly complied, attaching the earring to his left earlobe.
"How is jewelry supposed to help us defeat-" he began.
Toji cut him off. "These are Potara earrings. They're going to fuse our bodies together."
Broly's eyes widened in shock. "What?!"
"We don't have a choice," Toji explained urgently as Cumber's form became clearer through the dust. "Separately, we're no match for him. Together..."
Before Broly could protest further, Toji launched himself into the air towards him.
Broly felt a strange pulling sensation, as if his body was being drawn toward Toji by an invisible force. Unable to resist, he found himself flying toward the other warrior.
As Cumber emerged fully from the dust cloud, a blinding white light appeared before his eyes as the two collided face first, causing him to shield his eyes against the brightness.
As two Ki signatures disappeared and a single massive silhouette began to appear Cumber could only mutter a confused:
"What...?"
