There around the corner of the road, they saw a horse drawn carriage driving towards their direction.
It was also accompanied with five armed man on horses, two in the back and three in the front.
From their actions and the clothing, Ji Yen determined that they mist be from somewhat influential clan or gang.
As the group on horses kept on closing, Ji Yen and Ji Wen both stood aside the road to let them pass.
And eventually, the carriage went past them. Those men on the horses did not even look at them.
After they let them the carriage past them, Ji Yen and Ji Wen continued their journey towards the city.
As they kept on walking, Ji Yen realized a problem. He forgot an important thing.
The important thing is that Ji Yen did not think of money.
Now they got no money. Heck they don't even know what kind of thing is use as money in the human city. So, their whole plan of living inside the city seemed a little break.
With that dilemma on his head, they were about to reach the city.
From a little away, they could spot the lines of people waiting to enter the city.
Tens of people were waiting in front a giant city gate. And most of them looked like poor people. With only one or two of them being in fine dresses.
Looking at the lines of people, Ji Yen suddenly got an idea.
With excitement, Ji Yen dragged Ji Wen to join the lines of people.
Waiting in front of the giant gate, Ji Yen looked up towards the top part of the gate.
There, on the top front, he saw on giant letters of words. He knew that must be the name of the city.
But he realized he could not read at all, even though he could understand and speak human language.
With an annoyed face, he muttered. "What an annoying thing. Why is it so difficult to adapt to this human life?"
People kept on lining up behind Ji Yen and Ji Wen.
Time passed.
Now, it was about to be Ji Yen and Ji Wen's turn.
All those people that were in front of Ji Yen and Ji Wen entered the city after the guards checked them and after paying some fees.
But oddly, the man just two turns ahead of them entered the city without paying anything and the guards did not even check him. They simply stood there showing respect on their faces.
And nobody, waiting on the lines, questioned the situation.
At first, Ji Yen and Ji Wen both looked around in confusion.But after asking someone, they understand the reason.
The man who entered the city, without any fees or checking, was a warrior. A Mortal Foundation Realm warrior.
So thats why the guards put on a respectful face. They were genuinely showing their respect for warriors, since they were just ordinary mortals.
Hearing that, Ji Yen and Ji Wen's eyes lit up.
Since the man was able enter the city with any restrictions, they can also enter the city easily.
When it was about Ji Yen's turn, he walked towards the guards with a smile.
One of the leading gaurd stretched out his hand and said coldly. "Your fees."
He did not elaborate further.
Ji Yen did not take out his money. Instead he released a pressure around him.
The moment he released the pressure, the guards around him instantly felt suffocated.
The guards realized that the man in front of him was also a warrior, and a strong one at that. All the guards looked at Ji Yen in horror and pleaded with their eyes.
They were about to pass out completely due to the suffocation, when they felt the pressure suddenly vanished.
All the guards instantly fell to the ground on their knees, gasping for airs. Some even fell to the ground directly, unconscious.
With a smile on his face, Ji Yen asked the guard in front him who asked for the fees, in a playful tone. "Do I still need to pay any fees?"
Hearing the playful tone, the guards hurriedly waved his hands. "No. No. Esteemed sir, we were blind to not see a powerful warrior. Please spare our lives."
Then he bowed to Ji Yen. Seeing that, all the other guards around also followed his lead.
Looking at the actions of the guards, the people waiting in the lines showed pleasing smiles on their faces and some of them also showed gloating.
They were all fed up with the guards taking high fees and sometimes they would demand more than the usual, just for fun. So, seeing them suffer a little made them feel good for a moment.
"Hahaha.. I did not mean to scare you guys. Come one, please stand up." Ji Yen said with his head nodding and shaking in joking tone.
All the guards instantly felt relief.
Just like that, without any resistance, Ji Yen walked past the guards.
When it was Ji Wen's turn, the guards immediately recognized him as someone related to Ji Yen. Because he and Ji Yen look a lot similar, not just in facial features but also in body builds.
Fearing that the same situations will unfold again, they let him enter the city gate with doing anything.
Ji Wen felt a little bit disappointed as he was also thinking of doing the same thing.
But that did not matter anymore.
The two brothers entered the city very easily.
The moment they walked past the city gate, they a very busy yet big wide street and roads leading them to other places.
After walking around and asking the people there, they figured out the city is called 'Night Light City'. And it is named so due to the city's light never putting out even after midnight.
They could also see it.
Finally, after walking around for sometime, they decided to find a place to eat.
So they chose a busy restaurant. They did it so, not just for eating but also for collecting informations.
