Ji Yen and Ji Wen, both, enters a somewhat busy restaurant filled with many people.
The sound of people chattering inside the restaurant could be heard from outside.
When both of them entered the restaurant, a slightly thin man walked up to them. He was a waiter at the restaurant.
He asked with a fake flattering smile. "These two gentlemen, what can I do for you guys?"
Ji Yen looked at him, up and down, then he said. "Give us a table for two."
Then added. "And make it somewhat near the middle."
The waiter felt odd, hearing their request. Other people would always ask for window or corner seat, but these two requested for middle seat? However he still put on his usual smile and guided them towards a table near the middle. "This way please." with his hand showing the way.
After sitting down at their, the waiter asked. "What would you guys like to have?"
Ji Yen tapped the table for a bit and turned his head to look at the waiter. "What kind of dishes do you guys have?"
The waiter happily explained all the dishes. "Sir, we have roasted chicken, cooked chicken, ducks, rice noodles, rice noodles with slices of meats.etc."
"What is the most popular one here?" Ji Wen asked from the side.
The waiter turned to Ji Wen replied. "That will be the spicy rice noodles with pork slices, sir."
"We will have two of it." Ji Yen said.
"Alright." With that the turned to leave.
But Ji Yen hurriedly stopped him. "Wait.."
The waiter knowing what they are going to ask, turned around calmly said before Ji Yen could speak. "Sir, don't worry. It's only 10 copper coins per one bowl of it."
Ji Yen face showed an surprised expression. That was what he was going to ask exactly.
'Ohh. This must happen quite a lot?' He thought.
He nodded to the waiter. "Then that will be all."
The waiter left with that.
Both of them sat there, near the middle part of the restaurant.
And the reason why they chose the middle part instead of window seat or corner ones is because of informations.
Sitting in the middle have their own advantages. Being in the middle, they can hear many talks among the people. And from that they could get some informations.
Aside from informations, they also wanted to get know how the people of the behave, how they react and how they talk.
With their heighten senses, they could hear many things.
Some people were talking about drinking and gamblings.Some were just chatting about normal day to day life stuffs. And others were talking about their administration of warriors.
Among those many talks, two particular things caught Ji Yen and Ji Wen's attention.
The first things that caught their attention was about the recent hunting and searching for treasure in the forest.
And the second things was about some job recruitment. Especially for warriors.
From their conversations, Ji Yen understood the reason why so many people appeared after they killed the Li clan and Chen clan members.
It turned out that the information of them finding a treasure leaked to other rival clans. So all the other clans entered the forest in hope to find the treasure. And even some inner city clans joined the fun.
But when they entered the forest, they only managed to find the dead bodies and some remaining bones of Li clan and Chen clan.
After finding the bodies, their search for treasure turned into a mass hunt.
The people that found those bodies thought that some other party had killed the them and snatched away the treasure. They also thought that the other party killed the Li clan and Chen clan people to silence them.
The reason why they dud not linked it to some beast is because Ji Yen's feather blades would disappear if the energy connection between the body and the feather blades cut off for some hours.
That's why, no one could link any of the kill, Ji Yen did, to him. There was simply no clear evidence, unless someone saw it with their own eyes.
The second thing that caught their attention was the job recruitment of warriors by an associated organization of inner city clan.
And the reason why it caught their attention is simple. They need to settle down in the city and they simply don't have way to make a living.
So, they decided to take things easy.
Ji Yen and Ji Wen could not get much information regarding the job recruitment.
During all those chaos, the waiter finally brought the spicy noodles with pork slices.
"Here is what you guys ordered. Please enjoy it." The waiter said to them.
Looking at the beautifully prepared dishes, Ji Wen felt his mouth moistened with saliva.
He is going to get a taste of human foods, for the first time.
Swallowing his saliva, he was about to eat his food with his mouth. But he suddenly remembered what Ji Yen taught him.
Realizing that, he took the chopsticks on the side and used it to eat his foods.
He had already practiced many times before he arrived at the city. So he had no problem weilding the chopsticks, even though it was a little bit clumsy.
On the opposite side, Ji Yen was easily using the chopsticks and eating his food with ease.
It was not his first time clearly.
As he kept on eating his food, he was also observing the surrounding people.
From the way they talks, dresses, and the dialects. Ji Yen determined that they are most similar to East Asian peoples.
After they finished eating, Ji Yen called the waiter.
"Its 20 copper coins right?" He asked.
"Yes, sir." The waiter responded.
Ji Yen reached inside his robe and pulled out a money pouch.
Here is the thing about the money pouch. The bright idea he got in front of the city gate, that was to stole some money from the rich looking people lining up.
And he happened to spot an arrogant guy waiting just two turns ahead of him. So he simply took his money pouch. And no one there was fast enough to caught a Grade 2 demon beast stealing.
That guy was the warrior in front of Ji Yen and Ji Wen that entered the city gate without any worry.
After paying their money, Ji Yen and Ji Wen left the restaurant and headed for the job recruitment.

Somewhere around the corner of outer city, a man was actively searching his whole body for something.
And that man is the warrior and he was searching for his money pouch.
Seeing that he lost the money pouch, he looked up at the sky and cursed loudly. "DAMN YOU THIEF. IF I EVER FIND YOU, YOU ARE A DEAD MEAT. NO ONE CAN SAVE YOU FROM ME." in a angry voice.
