LEO'S POV
When she called me this evening saying she wanted to stay over I was surprised but what shocked me was her telling me she was finally letting go of that rascal.
What could be better!
Even though she didn't give me a direct answer, she didn't say no so I know we getting somewhere, bit by bit.
I can finally pursue her without fearing that she might go back to that guy.
I am more than happy, I have waited so long, I didn't actually meet her coincidentally that day at the bar,it was planed between me and Dera.
I definitely owe Dera alot for that.
I have been waiting for years, looking for her. Losing her contact was my greatest pain and now that I have finally found her back, I woundnt let anything tear us apart.
I have been waiting for her to leave that guy, so that I can deal with Dave.
Finally I can unleash all my anger on him!!
I picked up my keys and half run-half walked to my car, I was ecstatic.
When I arrived at her apartment she was still not prepared yet, she sat down on her couch, lost in thought.
"Hey baby" I called out.
She turned and looked up, her gaze cold
I shuddered.
"What happened this time" I asked with a frown.
"Care to explain this" she raised her phone, showing me an audio message, I am confused because I don't understand what was going on.
"What is that exactly"
She walked up to me, furious.
"This an audio of your dirty section with your little lover" she barked at me.
"Dirty section ? What little lover"
"Oh so they are numerous, right?.....I thought you were different Leo" she said with sad eyes.
"No…..that's not I meant, I am not dating any one" I explained quickly
"Are you lying to me, Leo I expected you to do better" she yelled at me.
" Im not okay, can you let me explain it to you?...please just hear me out" I begged her pleadingly
She looked grumpy, unwilling but still said "It better be a good explanation or you won't like what I will do to you"
I chuckled, clearly enjoying her tantrums.
"It's like this….the voice in that audio is Theresa, my ex fiancee but I broke it off with her, we clearly didn't love each other".
"When our parents set us up on a date and all but gradually, she started developing feelings for me, I turned her down several times…the reason i always accompanied her on those dates was because both families were planning on a joint business project. I didnt want my dad to call me an unfilial son".
"What about the audio on my phone" she asked while sneering.
"She faked it, can't you catch the breaks and the background noise" I asked her.
She played the audio again and listened attentively….she is stunned.
"That….um it's fake, I'm sorry I misunderstood you. I was careless, she wanted to sow discord between us and I almost fell for it, I should have trusted you more"she is a little excited, she tried to hide it but I catched a glimpse of her lips curling up beautifully.
"Thankfully, you didn't beat me as you did to those girls back in high school" I teased her.
She blushed.
That is when it stroke me that she was jealous!
That's great!
"You were jealous, weren't you?" I looked at her teasingly.
"Why should I be jealous, what should I be jealous of exactly" she tried to pretend she didn't care.
I laughed
I sat down close to her, she looked at me for some time before saying "Leo….I cant promise you anything now but i want you to know that I don't take your for granted, I'm really grateful for everything you have done for me these past few weeks…..Thank you"
My heart ached for a second, staring at her lips, I tried to resist but my sense of reasoning was far from me, I held up her chin and kissed her.
"Wh...what are you doing Leo, stop" she said sternly.
I panicked…"I'm sorry, I didn't think before I did it."
She was furious.
"I will be waiting for you in the car, go get some clothes" I said as I chuckled at her cute tantrums.
After getting everything ready we left her place but she was still holding a grudge.
I drove quietly without saying anything, I just kept glancing at her…her face is still as beautiful ever, even more beautiful than when we were in high school.
Her figure is still so good even at 28 years of age, her facial features are so delicate.
I swallowed hard.
Emily is going to be the death of me.
Feeling stared at continuously she couldn't help but ask "Um…is there something on my face?"
My ears turned red " Nothing…..it's just that your beauty is so dazzling"
She chuckled " Your mouth is still as sweet as before"
We laughed, it made the tension that was building up gone leaving only warmth.
When we arrived at my place, I helped her carry her luggage, while she tagged along, looking bewildered with everything she sees.
"Wow….your place is like heaven compared to my little slum" she joked.
I grinned "well all thanks to my parents, this what coming from a wealthy background looks like"
She just smiled.
"You will be staying in the guest room opposite mine, tell me if you need anything, I'm always at your call" I said
The room was a little smaller than mine but it was feminine, I had the interiors redecorated today, all done to make her feel at home.
She glanced inside the room and laughed " If I remember you don't have your sister staying with you, you said she is with your parents right?...why is this room so feminine?.."
"Well I had it redecorated today, just for you" I looked at her lovingly.
She pressed her hands on her temples, everything about her is just so elegant….that is except her unstable emotions.
"Thank you Leo, but you shouldn't have done all these, I won't be staying for long anyway" she said gratefully at me.
"I wont let you stay alone until I know you are back on your fit both emotionally and your physical well being"
She rolled her eyes at me " Why does it feel like you are acting like a parent right now?"
I smirked " I don't mind being one"
She glared at me.
