Cherreads

Chapter 27 - The most wonderful thing after killing and setting fires is that you don't have to take responsibility

Suddenly seeing an orc warrior with green skin, over two meters tall, dressed in a steel and ferocious armor, and a terrifying face with fangs exposed, Stephen subconsciously shouted, "Oh my God!"

"Oh my God?" The orc warrior repeated this foul language in a hoarse voice. His rough voice brought out a touch of humor and simplicity. "I'm not called God, I'm called Asol."

Stephen: "..."

The orc warrior named Asol took a look at the disheveled surroundings. When he saw Kairi being pierced to the ground, his expression changed slightly. Then he glanced at the scorched and smoking Buska and asked in puzzlement, "Who are you?" Were both of these two people killed by you? Kerry... How could one die?

When Asol mentioned the name Kerry, Stephen felt a sudden jolt in his heart. Could it be that this orc was in the same league as Buska?

Looking at this size and grandeur, it's clearly beyond the reach of someone like Carrie or Quinn. I'm afraid... Even if Stephen is still wearing that armor and the scroll mechanism on it has not been used yet, it is unlikely that he is a match for this orc warrior!

However, Asol did not make any unnecessary moves towards Stephen, nor did he turn a blind eye to Stephen's subconscious defensive actions. He merely walked up to Kerry, squatted down and carefully examined him.

Stephen stood aside with a hint of terror and quietly placed the ring he had just taken from Bousca into the pocket of his magic robe.

A moment later, only to hear Asol say: The fatal wound on his body was this sword that fell from the sky. This sword was very powerful and directly pierced through his armor, nailing him to the ground. Judging from the direction of the wound and the two footprints on the ground, the person who fell from the sky didn't make any fancy moves, but Kerry didn't even make any effective resistance, not even dodge, and was directly hit. The opponent's sword strike was very fast... Or rather, Carey was so scared that he was completely stunned. This fool simply forgot to react at all.

Having accurately judged the scene that occurred at that time, Asol then turned his head to look at Stephen.

Stephen's whole body tightened immediately, and then he said in his most sincere tone, "It wasn't me who killed..."

"Nonsense! Even a fool can tell it wasn't you who killed me."

Asol said in a matter-of-fact tone.

Stephen was suddenly shocked. Was his current image really that bad?

Asol walked up to Buska again and sized him up. "He was electrocuted. It doesn't look like an ordinary lightning scroll. It's more like the attack effect of the intermediate attack spell [Lightning Strike]..." Saying this, Asol turned his head to look at Stephen again, "Who on earth killed both of them?"

Stephen couldn't help but want to burst into laughter a few times and said to Asol with a look of contempt, "You surely didn't expect that it was actually me who killed them, did you?"

However, as a wise magician protagonist, Stephen still humbly made up a lie with a sincere expression, saying, "I don't know that person..." That was an incredibly handsome man in armor. His movements were like the wind and his hands were like lightning. He was extremely cool. Oh, by the way, he finally told me that his name was Steel...

At this time, Stephen originally wanted to mention the name Iron Man.

But he had to face a problem: the language of this world was not the same as Stephen's original world. Although Stephen could speak smoothly because he inherited Hammerhead's memory, certain things could only exist in his mind, and it was not so easy to take them out.

Because neither IRONMAN nor Iron Man can be accurately translated into the language of this world.

The term "steel" is easy, but the character "chivalry"... But it's not so easy to express. And it can be directly translated as "Iron Man" in English... Or, for instance, translating it as "Iron Man" on the "Treasure Island" side, it feels too disappointing.

So Stephen paused for a moment and then found the closest word.

"... Swordsman.

Steel swordsman.

This name, which later swept across the entire continent of Egendas, appeared in this world for the first time.

"Steel Swordsman?" Asol frowned, "Is that guy a senior swordsman?"

"Eh?" Stephen was taken aback. Why would Asol think the other person was a high-level swordsman just because of this name?

Seeing Stephen's appearance, Asol explained, "Only high-level swordsmen have nicknames. Since the swordsman who saved you calls himself the Steel Swordsman, he should be a high-level swordsman. Well, wait a minute. This old fellow was electrocuted. That steel swordsman still understands spells?"

Stephen nodded subconsciously.

"Then he must be the Magic Swordsman." Asol went on to say, with a hint of envy in his eyes, "Dual cultivation of Magic Sword, indeed very powerful."

The term "Magic Swordsman" obviously refers to a person with the talent of a magician who, when becoming a magician, also practices swordsmanship. Such a person is called a Magic Swordsman and is naturally rarer than a magician. Moreover, their combat power often far exceeds that of mages and swordsmen of the same rank. They are variations of these two classes.

This was the first time Stephen had heard of the profession of the Magic swordsman. He thought with a hint of pride, "So I'm so amazing..." Of course, he soon thought of himself as a clumsy magic swordsman. What he had said earlier was just bragging, okay? But as he glanced at the armor scattered all over the floor, his heart brightened even more. Maybe... Could he find a way to come up with a more powerful suit of armor in the future?

I've heard that some armors can be inscribed with magic circles. I wonder if he could study these things?

Perhaps the cool and awesome Iron Man suit in the movies could really be transformed into a magical version by him.

Just as he was thinking about these things, Asol's eyes turned to Stephen again: "What on earth is wrong with you?" It seems... Have you been hijacked by this idiot Kerry?

By now, Stephen could basically tell that the orc warrior in front of him was not on the same side as Kerry. What he said as a fool was definitely true. Of course, Stephen couldn't fully determine the other's position either. After thinking for a while, he decided to tell the truth: "My name is Hammer Head and I'm a magician..."

You are the magician who ruined Kerry! ?"

Hearing the name "Hammer Head", Asor's face lit up with joy. His hideous expression clearly showed a hint of happiness. He interrupted Stephen, "Haha, I never thought you were that interesting magician. Kerry, this good-loser, has always been regarded by us as a disgrace to the city Lord's guards. After you deactivated him, we even drank to celebrate when he was driven out of the city Lord's Mansion."

Stephen didn't expect to be so famous and suddenly felt honored.

Then Asol's expression suddenly turned cold again. This simple-minded orc warrior suddenly understood something: "Look at your appearance..." Were you imprisoned by Carey and his father? I heard that you are very good at making scrolls. Are they imprisoning you to help them make magic scrolls?

Stephen nodded hurriedly, "Exactly! That's the way it is!" Then, with a hint of concern, he asked, "Now both Buska and Kerry are dead. Under that house over there, two of their men have also died..." Will I get into any trouble?

"Humph! It would be best if such a despicable person died!" Asol slapped his chest hard. "Don't worry. I guarantee nothing will happen to you!"

"Really? That's great."

Stephen also heaved a sigh of relief. The most wonderful thing after committing murder and arson is that someone tells him not to be held responsible...
