Chapter 84 - 84

Tim looked at Emily and didn't answer her immediately.

"Do you still care about him?" Tim asked.

Emily glanced at him and said, "He is the first man who treats me well, and I owe him my life."

Tim's eyes dimmed slightly when he heard this.

"I asked the driver to take him home last night, but later, maybe the car braked suddenly and caused some turbulence, and he vomited blood in my car. I sent someone to check his medical records in the hospital. It turns out that after you separated, he drank a lot every day and had gastric bleeding several times. In the past week, he was diagnosed with gastric cancer." Tim's voice became low when he said this.

Hearing this, Emily's body trembled violently and she almost lost her balance.

Tim instinctively reached out to support her, but when he realized that his big hand was holding her arm, he immediately let go of it in disgust.

Emily felt a pain in her heart and said, "Do you have his medical records? Can you show them to me?"

Tim gave Emily a copy of William's medical records. Emily's hands were shaking slightly as she held the records, as if she couldn't control them at all.

"The doctor said it might be a malignant tumor and recommended surgery, which might extend his life by five years. But the chance is only about 30%." Tim said.

Emily frowned, tried her best to control her emotions, and read William's medical records carefully word by word.

After finally reading it, Emily suddenly reached out and grabbed Tim's hand, saying, "What are the risks of surgery?"

"I asked the attending doctor, the risk is not great, but if he has surgery, his survival time will not exceed five years." Tim sighed.

"Let him have surgery." Emily knew that it was too late to find out now, and she had to have surgery to remove the tumor.

As long as the tumor is removed, she is sure that she can prevent his cancer cells from spreading, and she must find a way to extend his life to old age.

"Do you think he will do the surgery if I ask him to? Don't you know it yet? He is obviously courting death, he just wants to die!" Tim said a little angrily.

Emily bit her lip and said, "I'll go talk to him!"

"Okay!" Tim was waiting for her to say this.

"Please ask him out for me!"

"In the evening, he will go to the club, which is his daily itinerary. He gets drunk every night, and he must be unable to sleep without getting drunk." Tim said.

Emily's heart trembled, nodded, and said to Tim, "He can't drink anymore now. I will come over after work in the afternoon. If you arrive first, you must persuade him not to let him drink anymore."

"Yeah!"

After the conversation, Tim opened the car door and sat in.

The car window slowly lowered, and Tim's head stuck out of the window and looked at Emily.

"I don't care how you got into this company to work. If anything happens here, you can call me." Tim's tone was arrogant, as if he wanted to hide his concern.

After watching him finish this sentence, Emily stepped on the accelerator and drove away quickly from her side.

Emily was a little flustered, and called James, telling him about William's illness in a crying voice.

"How could this happen?" James was also shocked: "What should we do now? Can your medical skills cure him?"

"His illness cannot be delayed, and surgery must be performed immediately. As for after the operation, I am sure that I should be able to temporarily control the recurrence of cancer cells in his body." Emily said.

"That's good, as long as the operation is successful, there should be no problem with you in the later stage. Emily, but in this way, your medical skills may be known by William." James said with some concern.

"It's okay, he won't tell anyone." Emily still trusted William very much. Although he hated her on the surface, he couldn't do anything to really hurt her.

"You treat him, and you will definitely be together often in the future. If his mother knows, there may be new troubles." James was more worried about this.

Emily hung her head, not knowing what to say.

"At the beginning, his mother wanted to burn herself to death in the house, and her legs became disabled because of this. In fact, you and I know that her legs had no effect long before she was discharged from the hospital. Now she is completely pretending, just to remind and threaten William all the time, and he must remember to hate you and take revenge on you." James said.

Indeed, William's mother's legs were indeed injured at the time. Emily felt guilty and entered her ward in the middle of the night. She was supposed to treat William's mother.

But she found that William's mother stood up by herself and walked to the bathroom naturally.

Later, Emily hid in the ward until William's mother fell asleep, and then she quietly left.

But she did not expose William's mother. She already owed William a life, and she did not want to force William's mother to commit suicide again to threaten William.

"Nothing is more important than William's life. Even if she thinks of a new way to deal with me, I will have to accept my fate." Emily said.

James sighed and said, "I will go to see William with you tonight!"

"No need!"

"Emily, don't always feel that you owe William a lot. His father's death was caused by someone braking his godmother's car in advance. It's not your fault. Don't blame yourself too much, and don't tolerate William's mother too much for what she did to you." James reminded.

"I know!" Emily knew that she would investigate this matter sooner or later.

After work, Emily went straight to the high-end club. As she was going upstairs, the phone in her bag that she only used to contact her brother suddenly rang.
