Chapter 176 - 176.The Terrifying Hades

Lin stared at Xiao Feng in astonishment. He could hardly fathom how one could possibly confront an eighth-level superhuman. Were it not for Rush and K being present, he would have fled long ago. After all, as a superhuman outside the Alliance's Superhuman Management Bureau, he would be summarily executed on the spot if discovered by the Alliance forces.

He shook his head and said, "I dare not provoke him. His skeletal frame is impervious even to K and Rush. I think our best course is to retreat."

"Heh, you speak wisely. Escape is indeed the wisest option now. But if we run this time, when he regains his full strength, we will stand even less of a chance. This is our best opportunity to defeat him—before he recovers."

Lin frowned, contemplating. Xiao Feng's words were undeniably sound. With Rush and K here, this was a rare chance. He snorted coldly, "Very well, it's settled. We fight with everything we've got. If we can kill him, we will; if not, then we run."

"Agreed. If I flee, I'll be the last to do so." Xiao Feng clenched his black alloy combat knife and charged at Hades without hesitation.

Rush and K, momentarily caught off guard, allowed Xiao Feng to surge forward.

Hades, now reduced to a metallic skeleton, sneered wickedly at Xiao Feng's advance, then swung a brutal punch at him.

Despite lacking muscles, Hades retained incredible speed.

Xiao Feng finally understood why Hades possessed such swiftness and strength—he was no longer human. With microcomputers augmenting his body, dodging bullets was effortless.

Realizing this, Xiao Feng grasped another truth: Hades' superhuman powers were artificially engineered, unlike those who evolved naturally. This confirmed that Hades had to have originated from Victoria Corporation.

Within seconds, Xiao Feng closed in on Hades and slashed at the incoming fist with his black alloy knife. With a sharp crack, the blade snapped under the tremendous force, while Hades' arm bore only a shallow scratch.

Without time to mourn his broken weapon, Xiao Feng bent low, evading the punch. Swiftly, he wrapped his legs around Hades' and rolled, slamming the metallic titan to the ground.

At that moment, Rush sprang into action. Though unaware of Xiao Feng's strategy, he knew his priority was Xiao Feng's survival. Injuries were inconsequential, but if Xiao Feng died, no one could reverse the loss.

Rush focused his entire mental power onto the fallen Hades. The struggle faltered—clearly, Hades' ethereal power had diminished without his flesh. Otherwise, an eighth-level psychic's influence would be minimal against a super-elite.

Rush's grip signaled Hades' power had degraded; now he was at most an eighth-level superhuman.

With Hades restrained, Xiao Feng's body crackled with electricity, surging wildly over Hades' metallic frame. Though his metal body was nearly indestructible, it was still a conductor.

Hades trembled under the electric assault, his components malfunctioning, yet his consciousness remained lucid. "You brat, your efforts are futile. On the contrary, I'll use your electricity to recharge my batteries. The more you discharge, the more energy I gain. Delightful. Do you really think you can kill me?"

At that moment, Xiao Feng shouted, "Lin, what are you waiting for?"

"I'm coming..." Lin responded, leaping beside Xiao Feng and unleashing a blast of icy mist toward Hades.

Lin's ice powers, fully unleashed at this critical moment, froze the struggling Hades solid. A crystalline layer swiftly enveloped his metallic body.

Yet Lin was far from idle. He summoned falling metal bullets, merging them into a colossal sphere floating above. With all his might, he hurled it down at the immobilized, frozen Hades' head.

A thunderous crash echoed, yet Hades' head barely dented, embedding deeply into the concrete.

Stunned, K asked, "How is his skull so hard?" Then manipulating the giant sphere, K elevated it high into the air.

Rush frowned but unleashed psychic force upon the massive metal orb.

Supported by K and Rush, the sphere ascended nearly a hundred meters before crashing down again with immense velocity onto Hades.

An even louder collision reverberated through the airport. Hades' head was driven deeper into the concrete, and the enormous metal sphere shattered into fragments.

Hades cursed, "You fools can never kill me! Ha ha..."

Yet the freezing temperatures seemed to have little effect on the metal titan.

Hades moved slightly, causing the ice to crack and splinter.

Xiao Feng cursed, "Damn it... this won't do. Rush, don't lose focus—hold him tight!"

He glanced at Kerri, who had been watching passively. "Kerri, are you here just to spectate? Go find a fire truck!"

Kerri was taken aback. "Don't yell at me like that."

"Damn it, I told you—just go. Or I swear I'll deal with you myself."

Seeing Xiao Feng's serious expression and knowing the two eighth-level superhumans by his side, Kerri knew better than to argue. He turned to the nearby superhuman agents, commanding, "Find a fire truck!"

Louise typed swiftly on a computer. "There's a fire truck nearby..."

Kerri sprinted toward it at top speed. In under a minute, he reached the fire truck, kept always on standby at the airport, its keys never removed.

Igniting the engine, Kerri raced back to Xiao Feng's position.

Xiao Feng leapt onto the truck, aimed the high-pressure water cannon at Hades, and unleashed a powerful jet. "Lin, freeze him solid!"

Lin understood instantly and reactivated his ice powers, dousing the water-soaked Hades with intense cold.

The ice thickened rapidly over Hades' body.

Everyone watched intently as Xiao Feng and Lin coordinated. Water poured relentlessly while the ice layer grew by centimeters.

Minutes later, a massive iceberg stood at the airport—gleaming, translucent, like a giant crystal. Hades was trapped, immobile within.

Kerri glanced at Xiao Feng, who had just shut off the water cannon. He was once again impressed. Two fourth-level superhumans had managed to trap an eighth-level superhuman—something Kerri and other agents had never dared to imagine. Together, Xiao Feng and Lin had truly accomplished the impossible.

Xiao Feng jumped down from the truck, exhaling deeply. "Damn it, this should hold him."

He approached the iceberg, staring at Hades trapped inside. Though motionless, Hades' eyes burned with fierce hatred.

Lin wearily withdrew. "Xiao Feng, we succeeded."

"Indeed. You doubted we could, but that's the power of teamwork. By complementing each other's strengths, we overcame a formidable foe."

"Heh, enough of your moralizing."

Xiao Feng locked eyes with the furious Hades, knowing they hadn't killed him, but still unwilling to show mercy. "What are you staring at? Lucky for you, we used water this time. If I had molten iron, I'd cast you into a metal ball. Let's see what tricks you have then."

Rush and K exchanged glances, silently acknowledging that Xiao Feng had truly become a monster. They couldn't fathom what sort of mental algorithms powered this boy. Time and again in battle, Xiao Feng devised ingenious methods to conquer overwhelming enemies.

This time was no exception.

Turning to Kerri, Xiao Feng said, "The rest is up to you. Get a crane and haul him away. How you handle him is your business, but be very careful—don't let him escape from the ice."

"Why me?" Kerri grumbled.

"Aren't you the deputy chief of the Alliance Superhuman Management Bureau? This case belongs to you. Besides, we went through all this trouble to help you capture an eighth-level superhuman. So, how do you plan to thank us?" Xiao Feng's face bore a roguish grin.
