Episode 51: The General's Fall
The clash of steel and shadows thundered across the battlefield. Juviaānow General Yulianaāfought with a fury she didn't know she possessed. Her golden blade blazed with moonfire, cleaving through the void creatures as though they were made of smoke.
Every strike triggered flashes of memory: a crown being placed on her head, a kiss under the blood moon, the sound of her sister's laughter.
Ha-jun fought beside her, his black armor glinting under the strange red sky. He moved like a shadow, swift and precise, protecting Juvia's back with every step. Even in this lifetime, their connection was unbreakable.
"I remember this place," Juvia shouted over the roar. "It was the final stand."
"The fall of the Moon Battalion," Ha-jun confirmed grimly. "You died here. Betrayed."
A chilling wind swept through them. The air twisted as a figure emerged from the smokeātall, draped in violet robes, her face veiled in black mist.
"Yuliana," the woman said. "Still clinging to hope?"
Juvia's chest tightened. "Youā¦"
Ha-jun growled. "The Emissary of the Void Queen."
The Emissary lifted her hand and the air cracked. A dark spear formed, pulsing with cursed energy. "If you unlock the next memory," she hissed, "your light will awaken. And she cannot allow that."
Juvia looked down at the girl still bleeding in her armsāher sister. Her hands trembled as she brushed strands of hair from the girl's pale face.
"She called me sisterā¦"
Her tears struck the ground, glowing where they landed.
A voice echoed inside her mindāher own voice, from this lifetime.
"I swore to protect her. Even if the moon burned out."
Suddenly, Juvia's armor shiftedāwings of light sprouted from her back, ethereal and radiant. Her blade transformed, extending into a double-edged sword inscribed with ancient moon runes.
The Emissary faltered. "Impossible⦠she's merging timelines!"
Juvia rose slowly, her voice cold. "You killed her⦠and in every life, I let you. But not this time."
With a cry that shook the skies, she lunged forward. Ha-jun followed, and together they clashed with the Emissary in a dance of fury and flames.
But just as Juvia struck a final blow, the Emissary screamedāand unleashed a pulse of void energy.
The world cracked.
And everything went white.
ā
Juvia awoke gasping in the ruins againāthis time alone. The sky was purple, and the moon above was split into three glowing fragments.
Kai's voice echoed faintly. "One shard retrieved⦠five remain."
Footsteps.
Ha-jun appeared, blood on his face but alive. He helped her sit up.
"You did it," he said. "You remembered."
"But I lost her again," Juvia whispered. "My sisterā¦"
Ha-jun gripped her hand. "We'll save her. In the end, when all shards are wholeāyou'll have the power to rewrite every life."
Suddenly, a crack opened in the air in front of themāa mirror made of stars.
And in it⦠a new timeline shimmered.
A castle of frost.
A boy locked in chains.
And a younger version of Ha-jun⦠with glowing blue eyes.
Juvia stood.
"Let's go."
