Chapter 11 - Chapter 9: Class and Magic Identification

Klera's Point of View

It was a huge celebration last night, and now, in my dormitory, I'm preparing for the Class Identification Ceremony in the Grand Hall. I spent last night praying to Andromeda, hoping to be chosen as a Psychic.

"Klera, let's go, or we'll be late for the ceremony!" Hebrew knocked on my dormitory door.

"Just a minute," I replied, smoothing my uniform in the mirror. I checked my reflection one last time, making sure everything was perfect before locking the door.

"Let's go," I said.

Descending the stairs, we met our fellow students, chattering excitedly. It seemed I wasn't the only one who'd made friends here.

"I'm so excited, Klera! Finally, my dream is coming true! I just have to survive and graduate from the Academy to become an Adventurer," Hebrew exclaimed.

"I'm happy for both of us that we're getting to fulfill our dreams," I replied.

"I hope Merlin, the Master of Arcane Spells, will bless me and make me a mage. I've heard rumors that he can summon beasts and creatures," he said, admiring his hero.

"Good luck to us! I hope we both get the roles we want."

We arrived at the Grand Hall just in time. Everyone was already standing in the center, facing the stage, waiting for the ceremony to begin.

"Good morning, students," Headmistress Ophelia announced from the stage, where several staff members and tutors stood beside her.

"Good morning, Headmistress Ophelia," we all replied in unison.

"Welcome to our Class and Magic Identification Ceremony," she continued. "For many years, this Academy has held this ceremony for students who aspire to become Adventurers. But first, we must determine which class are best suited for each of you."

Class and Magic Identification:

Swordman— who are expert melee fighters in Adventurer parties. They're skilled with various magic weapons, strong in combat, and often act as the party's front-line. This Class demands strength, agility, and mastery of the blade. This Class offers several Swordman Specialties: Assassin, Berserker, Guardian, Knight, and Fighter.

-Assassin: Focuses on stealth, critical hits, and swift executions. They excel at taking down single targets quickly and silently.

Magic weapons: Sharp weapons such as Daggers, shurikens and many more.

-Berserker : Focuses on raw power, rage, and high damage output. Specializes in slow, powerful attacks that deal massive damage, often at the cost of speed and maneuverability. They are the ultimate damage dealers but are less agile.

Magic weapons: Heavy weapons such as Axes, Hammers and many more.

Guardian: Prioritizes defense and protecting allies, typically boasting high health and defensive abilities.

Magic weapons: Defensive weapons such as Shields.

Knight: Masters swordsmanship, wielding a single sword with precision and discipline, combining offensive and defensive capabilities in a strategic and controlled fighting style. They are highly skilled in both attack and defense.

Magic weapons: Strong weapons such as Excalibur and many more.

Fighter: Proficient with fists and various fighting styles, they are versatile combatants adaptable to different situations.

Magic weapons: Enchanted weapons such as Gauntlets.

Marksman— who are expert ranged combatants in Adventurer parties. They are skilled with various magic bows and firearms, deadly accurate in combat, and often provide crucial ranged support. This Class demands accuracy, precision, focus, and mastery of ranged weaponry. This Class offers two Marksman Specialties: Archer and Ranger.

Ranger: Focuses on versatility and adaptability. Rangers are skilled in both ranged and often melee combat, utilizing traps, stealth, and survival skills alongside their firearms or other ranged weapons. They are masters of adapting to various environments and situations.

Magic weapons: Powerful and versatile weapons such as Guns.

Archer: Focuses on long-range precision and damage. They excel at dealing significant damage from a distance. Their skills primarily revolve around archery proficiency and aiming.

Magic weapons: Precise and long-range weapons such as Bows.

Mage— who are expert spellcasters in Adventurer parties. They wield various magical grimoires, wands, and other arcane implements, specializing in devastating magical attacks and powerful spells. They can summon magically created beasts and creatures. They command the raw power of elemental magic and other powerful magic. This Class demands power, mastery, control, and a deep understanding of the fundamental magical forces. This Class offers several Mage Specialties: Wind Mage, Fire Mage, Water Mage, Earth Mage and more

Magic Items: Enchanted items like Wands, Orbs, Rods , Staffs and many more.

Psychic— who are expert manipulators of the mind, body, spirit and psionic energies in the Adventurer parties. Their ability to manipulate and harness mental, physical, and spiritual energies makes them incredibly versatile. They possess unique abilities that focused on guiding, supporting and protecting allies, as well as unleashing psychic attacks and have special mental magics. This Class demands focus, intelligence, discipline, and mastery of psionic abilities. This Class offers a wide variety of Specialized abilities.

Magic Items: Mysterious items such as Amulets, Rings and many more.

Priest/Priestess— who are expert of divine powers and sacred arts within Adventurer parties. Their skill with holy symbols and sacred rituals allows for precise support and devastating divine attacks, providing blessings, healing, protection, and buffs for their allies. This Class demands faith, healing abilities, and the capacity for protection, as well as a mastery of divine energies.

Magic Items: Divinely Items such as Scepter and many more.

"Let me introduce you to these magic items that will help us Identify your Class," she said, pointing to the items arranged horizontally on the stage table. "This is a Crystal ball; Gaze into its depths, and it shall reveal your destined Class, the path your magical journey will follow." the Headmistress introduced, holding up a small ball. Once the Crystal ball identifies your class, these books will identify your Best Specialty.

Her gaze landed on a stack of elegantly bound books, "And these," she whispered, a hint of mystery in her tone, "are not just ordinary books; these are Tomes of untold potential. These Tomes hold the power to unlock your ideal Specialty Class.

Empty pages waiting to be filled. Imbue these pages with your own magical energy, and they will blossom into personal Tomes of Spells, Skills and Abilities, revealing the unique spells, abilities and skills that define your magical specialty. Your personal path to mastery awaits! Each Adventurer's Tome unlocks a unique tapestry and incantation of spells, abilities, and skills, a testament to their individual potential."

Finally, she gestured to a shimmering Water basin filled with still, clear water. "Dip your hand within," she instructed, "and the water itself will shape-shift, revealing the magical weapon or item perfectly suited to your unique magic. This way, you can focus on mastering your powers, not wasting precious time searching for items that may not be compatible with you."

"May I call upon Master Felicia to assist us on stage? She's a remarkably talented Psychic; her Specialty is Teleportation and Recognition ability, and she will be invaluable in determining your classes," the Headmistress announced. The Tutor then proceeded to walk toward the table.

"Let the Class Identification Ceremony begin! We will call your names individually, and you will then proceed to the stage," she declared, elegantly unfurling a scroll.

"Javier Baez, please come forward to the stage and determine your Class," she gestured, guiding the young man toward the table with a warm smile.

Javier first touched the Crystal ball, then infused it with magical energy. After a moment, the ball blazed to life, and Master Felicia exclaimed, "A Marksman!" The Headmistress applauded, her enthusiasm mirrored by the excited clapping of the students.

Next, the young man approached the ordinary Collection of Tomes, eager to discover his marksman specialty. Master Felicia had already explained that the marksman class had only two specialties. With focused intent, he infused a single book, given to him by Master Felicia, with his magical energy. In a breathtaking instant, the ordinary book shimmered, transforming into a vibrant yellow. He stood, momentarily speechless, as Master Felicia shouted, "A Ranger!" The crowd erupted in applause.

Finally, he moved to the final stage—the Enchanted Water basin, destined to reveal his weapon. He dipped his hands into the water, channeling his magical energy. In a mesmerizing display, the water levitated, swirling and shaping itself in the air before solidifying into a gleaming Gun. A thunderous applause filled the Grand Hall, celebrating his unique magical destiny.

"Next student, Liana Pallet, please come forward to the stage and determine your class," the Headmistress announced, her voice ringing through the hall after the first student's exciting revelation.

Excited whispers filled the hall; my fellow students clearly adored the princess.

"It's the princess's turn!"

"I wonder what Class she'll be!"

The Princess approached the Crystal ball, infusing it with magical energy. The orb blazed to life, and Master Felicia shouted, "A Priestess!" The applause was much louder than before.

The Princess approached the the Collection of Tomes, but the Headmistress interrupted,

" In the Priestess and Priest Class, they command the very essence of light and life. You must master all these aspects and specialties of magic: Protection, Buffing, Blessing, Healing, and Support, unleashing Divine and Light spells to aid your allies."

The Headmistress's words hung in the air. The Princess touched the single Tome presented to her. A blinding light erupted, transforming the ordinary book into a glorious white book with intricate gold linings, a testament to her destiny. The hall fell silent, then erupted in thunderous applause.

With a deep breath, she reached into the Water basin. Magic surged; the water rose, twisted, and sculpted itself into a magnificent Harp. The crowd roared its approval, their cheers a joyous wave celebrating her incredible achievement.

"Next, Klera Ward," Headmistress announced. "Please come forward to the stage and determine your class." A wave of shock and nervousness washed over me; I was next.
