"No! Get restraints! Please!" Tanjiro yelled at the approaching officers, refusing to release the demonized man.
The officers, however, ignored him, mistaking him for a deranged individual and attempting to pull him off the man. Aoki stood by, unsure how to intervene.
"Cut the crap, get out of the way!" an officer shouted, pulling at Tanjiro. He was surprised by Tanjiro's unexpected strength; a teenager was overpowering a grown man.
"Please stop! Only I can hold him!" Tanjiro, now fully on top of the man, clung to him tightly.
"Get off!" the officer snapped, growing impatient.
Aoki was about to help when he stopped. His enhanced senses detected the presence of two more demons among the onlookers. He couldn't risk exposing his back.
Meanwhile, Tanjiro, still struggling with the officers, smelled a strange fragrance in the air—a barrier of scent.
Aoki frowned, recognizing the demons' handiwork. He couldn't risk moving until he knew if the scent was harmful.
Tanjiro, too, smelled the fragrance and the demons, but felt less concerned with Aoki beside him.
Two figures emerged from the scent barrier.
"He's a demon, yet you call him 'human' and try to save him. Let me help," a beautiful woman said. She had long black hair styled in a low bun, gentle eyes like pale pink mist, and vibrant red lips contrasting with her pale complexion. She wore a deep purple kimono adorned with pale purple branches and red flowers, a beige obi, and bore several deep wounds on her arms, the source of the fragrance.
Beside her stood a pale young man in a white coat with short hair and sharp purple eyes.
"Why? Aren't you… demons? I smell demons," Tanjiro said, surprised by the woman's words, recognizing the scent of the two demons.
"Yes, we are demons," the woman said, her wounds healing. "And doctors."
"I will kill that man, kill Muzan Kibutsuji."
"Listen carefully!"
After this encounter, Tanjiro realized he'd lost Nezuko.
He returned to the food stall, where the owner was furious about the broken bowl and uneaten udon.
"It's not about the money! I can't forgive you for not eating my udon!"
Aoki watched in bewilderment as Nezuko, now awake, stood on the bench, stroking Aoki's head and making soft "Mmm" sounds.
"I'm sorry. Another bowl, please."
"Do you want some?" Tanjiro asked Aoki.
"Yes!"
Tanjiro looked at Aoki. "Two bowls, please!"
The scene shifted to Aoki and Tanjiro eating udon, Nezuko still stroking Aoki's head.
After paying, they left.
"I'm sorry, Nezuko, for leaving you," Tanjiro apologized, but Nezuko continued stroking Aoki's head, leaving Aoki unsure how to react.
Nezuko stopped, grabbing Aoki and Tanjiro's hands, her eyes hardening, staring ahead.
"What is it, Nezuko?" Tanjiro asked, looking in the direction of her gaze—a young man, one of the demons they'd encountered earlier.
"Ding!"

The system's notification appeared.
"Were you waiting for us?" Tanjiro asked as they approached Yushiro.
"That lady asked me to bring you back," Yushiro said indifferently. "That place is hidden by a magical illusion. You can't find it by scent." He pointed at Nezuko. "That woman… isn't she a demon? Why are you, Demon Slayer Corps members, traveling with a demon? And such an ugly one."
The air stilled. Aoki found himself speechless, questioning Yushiro's aesthetic sense. Tanjiro was taken aback.
"Ugly? Ugly? He means… Nezuko?!" Realizing Yushiro was referring to his sister, Tanjiro was furious.
He approached Yushiro. "She's not ugly! Look at her face! She's famous for her beauty in our town!"
Yushiro looked at Tanjiro impassively. "Ugly."
Aoki: "..."
Tanjiro: "..."
