Chapter 20 - THE NEXT PLAN

Lina sat in her dimly lit living room, sipping a cup of tea as she pondered her next move. She couldn't understand why her children refused to believe her about their father's supposed abandonment. The love they had for him was immeasurable, and it frustrated her.

"I tried to convince them, but they didn't agree with me," she thought to herself. "My fear is that they'll find a way to contact him, and he'll reveal the truth. My children will hate me, and I'll lose everything."

Just then, her lover walked into the room, a sly smile spreading across his face. "Lina, are you sure you love me?" he asked, his voice low and husky.

Lina's eyes locked onto his, and she replied, "Yes, if I didn't love you, I wouldn't have divorced my husband because of you."

Her lover chuckled, seemingly pleased with her response. "Okay, I'll give you two options. Choose the one you prefer, and I'll make it happen. You know your husband is just an ant in front of me. I can crush him anytime, and nothing will happen. But because he still has children, I won't do that."

Lina's eyes narrowed, intrigued by the options he was about to present. "Number one is that we get rid of him, that he'll never exist again on this earth. I mean, we should kill him. When he's dead, you'll take your children to his burial, and they'll cry. In the next three months, they'll forget about him totally."

Lina's face twisted in distaste. "That's too cruel. I don't want him dead."

Her lover smiled again. "I knew you'd say that. The second option is that we call him and hand over his children to him. You'll have peace of mind, and if your children want to hate you, they'll consider the way they live in your house versus their father's house. When they see the difference, they'll return to you, and you can talk sense into their heads."

Lina's eyes sparkled with interest. "I think we'll try the second method. I know my children are eager to see their father, but he's very poor and can't take care of them. I don't want to see my children suffer in his hands."

Her lover nodded, a confident smile spreading across his face. "Trust me, children will just observe for three days to a week, and after that, they'll decide who to stay with. You'll have the upper hand then."

Lina's face set in determination. "Okay, I'll agree with you now. Let's do it your way."
