*Icarus POV*
*Location: Above Gotham, New Jersey (Atmosphere)*

For the first time in my short existence, I have found life, crystal clear life, on a planet far closer to the massive ball of light. One that was in perfect orbit with it, and all manner of odd structures both on its ground and in space, somehow. How they accomplished something like this, I had no idea. Perhaps it would be interesting to learn about and understand further.
That's when I saw it, a bright green ball which in itself was odd enough, but it was what was inside that confused me most of all. It was a being that looked so alien to me alongside its abilties. In its hands was a ball of air and bright orange energy, and the ball surrounding it began to crack as it expanded. The creature, in its fury and frustration, began thrashing about, making the sphere in its hand unstable. That's when the creature saw me, and I saw it. I saw some form of recognition in its eyes when it saw me.
It then gathered that energy and surrounded his body with the air and orange energy it was manipulating. It then unleashed some of it, as the remaining energy it couldn't be put to use began cracking the green sphere as it expanded. It was then shattered as it released a torrent of energy, prompting me to respond in kind as I began channeling my own reserve, forming a gigantic shield around myself.
As all three forces clashed, resulting in a massive explosion of force catching me and this creature in the center of it all. It then charged at me, with a clear focus in its eyes as we collided, our hands grasping at one another as we wrestled midair, the creature trying to kill me, and I trying to understand what was happening.
"CAAAAAAA!" It then let out an ear-shattering scream that combined with its mastery over the very air sent me flying back in pain.
I was then punched in the face and then gut, with this process repeating over and over in different locations, the thing not giving me a chance to respond as each blow had more power added to it, via the orange energy which strangely resembled my own. I eventually caught one and began swinging it around in a circle before letting go and sending them flying away, giving me some time to recover.
I then began gathering the energy surrounding me, the golden energy I was able to manipulate easily enough, but it seemed like I had some control over the orange as well. Not enough to properly use it, but enough to understand this being, and I may share similar origins or something else we had in common, at least, something I needed to find out. Right now, in this moment, it didn't matter as I launched myself at the thing just as the thing recovered.
We collided once more, this time, the creature was now bleeding a strange neon purple liquid from its now broken arms. Seeing this, the creature flew upward, but then it started turning over and over, not letting me know where it went next. The thing was much faster than I was and probably had a more diverse powerset than I did, with its control over the very air.
Then the thing collided with me from the top, coming down like a meteor and pushing me towards the planet's surface. I grabbed hold of its shoulders and tried to force it to let go, but I was greeted with a sudden sharp pain, as the creature nearly ripped its own flesh off its right arm, making the bone a makeshift weapon. It had used this weapon to stab me in the side, using it as a way to hold on and force me to concentrate on that.
As we neared the ground, I saw the other lifeforms that populated this part of the planet, the terror and fear on their faces as they must have been feeling at this moment. The desperation to live another day and not be caught up in this battle of otherworldly lifeforms. That's when a strange green platform caught us with strange poles and nets coming out of it. Looking around, I saw a strange green costumed humanoid being like myself, only they did not share my abilties but had different ones of their own.
I could hear him talking to someone, but to whom I had no idea, as my current thoughts were of the throbbing pain going through my body. The creature stood over me and began twisting its other arm back into place, forcing it back together as its blood splattered all over me. They raised their fist in the air, prepared to deliver another beatdown, and gave me a chance to rip their other arm out of me.
Grabbing with both of my hands, I yanked the thing out and rolled to the side just as its fist hit the platform below us, as they used their abilities to make it far stronger, cracking the green platform. That's when two beams of red energy collided with its back as another new humanoid being joined the fray, a green one this time with a calm look on its face as they floated over toward us, letting go of a female humanoid being wielding a golden lasso, I believe.
"I do not believe this thing to be intelligent nor an animal of any kind as its thoughts are nothing but of death and destruction." the green humanoid said as the oddly dressed woman cracked their knuckles.
"Then that means I don't have to hold back, and you, traveler, please step back and let us handle it." She said as she ran forward with her fist outstretched, ready to deliver a devastating punch across the thing's jaw.
Taking this chance, I flew up, surrounding my first with energy and flying straight toward them, hoping to use this chance to take them out. As I slammed into them, I could feel their chest and bones shatter as I used all my strength to slam into them. Then the green platform shattered beneath us, sending us flying down a small hole, and I used that chance to begin beating the creature to death. Each fist and blow shattered the creature's body more and more, its bones breaking under the weight of my attacks.
We then collided wth a large structure, but still kept on falling through our strength, shattering it in the process as rubble fell alongside us. We hit the ground with a thud, nearly sending me flying off it and giving the creature a chance to recover somewhat. It grabbed me by the throat as the orange energy surrounded its somewhat repaired arm.
"CAAAAAA" The thing screamed that same thing as before, as blood splattered out of its mouth onto my face.
"I don't know what you are, but I REFUSED TO BE KILLED BY A MINDLESS CREATURE WITH NO GREATER PRUPOSE THAN DESTRUCTION!" I grabbed its head as I said that and slammed it against my knee, forcing them to let go of me.
I grabbed its head with one arm and slammed it on the ground, and began stomping on it over and over. Then, with one final stomp to its head, I squished it and finally killed the creature.
*Huff* *Huff* *Huff*
Soon enough, though, I began panting heavily as I grabbed the side I was stabbed on and sat down, staring at the creature.
"What in this universe is this thing, and why...why did the energy feel familiar?"
