Charles and Kieran are casually making jokes, just to clear the air for Kieran. He seemed terrified.
They drove inside, shooting everything that had a breath.
Kieran thought they'd have to sneak in, but Charles had other plans. This was a bloody scene—the bloodiest Kieran had ever seen—and Charles was casually shooting heads off.
Men were running around in fear. Kieran put his head outside the window and threw up. He looked like he had too much.
It's night, and they're in black. They realized they didn't have a proper plan, and it made them laugh. What if they mixed the gangs up and these ones don't have Caelum? This thought made him laugh to himself.
It goes quiet, and there's a loud bang. Someone from the roof shot. Charles fell to the ground. Kieran didn't look where he was shot; he ran to avoid getting shot.
Kieran started thinking and calculating. He couldn't panic. A few minutes later, he hears a couple of gunshots from the inside. Kieran runs out, shooting the few guys approaching him. The gun training he had as a child was finally coming in handy.
Miraculously, Charles was standing and shooting everything. He looked displeased. His leg was bleeding profusely, but he didn't look like he cared. He shot every single person in sight without asking questions.
Kieran realized Charles had forgotten why they came.
Charles was solely killing them because he got shot in the leg. Like revenge. It was funny to Kieran. Charles was like a baby with a gun; he just wasn't going to die without killing who shot his leg.
Kieran reminded him why they came, and Charles looked genuinely surprised. He had truly forgotten why they were there. Kieran was guarding the doors, shooting everything that moved outside, while Charles was asking the almost-dead men where his boss was, while punching their already smashed faces.
It was so disorganized.
After total annihilation, they moved upstairs. Charles assumed people upstairs would be prepared for them, so he beheaded one of the guys he shot. Kieran gags.
He throws the head upstairs first, and there was a loud gasp. Charles used that distraction to rush in and shoot most. Kieran took care of the rest. They were running out of bullets and guns to pick up. They had to find Caelum soon.
They were on the first floor, and it was pin-dropping silent. Caelum was nowhere to be found. He was about to give up.
"KIERAN!!" he yells, filling the room with echoes and life. It was Caelum. Kieran's eyes lit wildly.
He was standing in the middle of the room. Kieran smiled like he had won a lottery.
Caelum had lost so much weight. Kieran was tearing up. He wanted to run to him, but no. It was too good to be true. His eyes told him not to get any closer.
Charles was so done with all this. "Boss, what's going on?"
Caelum had a look of disgust and happiness on his face—a mix—when he saw Charles. He knew it'd be over very soon. Charles sees it. He understands.
Caelum was in a chair, and Kieran was getting restless.
"That's not the boss," he whispers. "He can't look at me like that. Never." What has happened? Kieran was so confused. He just kept looking.
"That's Caelum right there... let's get him" Kieran muttered.
Charles asks Kieran to move. They had to leave immediately, but Kieran didn't understand anything.
"HE'S JUST THERE! RIGHT THERE! WHY AREN'T WE GOING TO HIM?!" Kieran yelled. His voice was already shaky.
Caelum began to cry. He couldn't hold it in anymore. He broke down. He falls to the ground. Kieran had lost way more weight. He wasn't muscular anymore. He was just big now. His eyes were tired. His hair was back-length. He wasn't eating or sleeping. He missed his baby so much, but he couldn't leave that spot, and it bothered Kieran.
Charles was shocked at this display.
"WHY AREN'T YOU COMING TO ME?" Kieran yelled. "Didn't you miss me?" Tears rolled down his cheeks. Caelum was bawling his eyes out. He wanted to go to him so bad, but he couldn't. Caelum was only managing to stand. This was hurting him more than Kieran knew.
"Caelum is standing in front of a bunch of gang members ready to shoot," Charles whispers to Kieran.
Kieran looks at Caelum well. He sees a bunch of red lights—they're all pointing to Caelum's back and head. Any movement that isn't allowed will end Kieran's life instantly.
Kieran's expression changed. He looks annoyed. They have to leave now, even when Caelum is just right in front of them. It's difficult for him, but they proceed. They leave the building for the car when he noticed Charles wasn't with him anymore. Bullets sprayed the air.
Kieran ran back in, but it's smoky. The whole room is covered in smoke. What's going on?
He tries to run out back when he gets pulled by someone. It wasn't Caelum or Charles. He yells out, "Help!" Then the shootintg stops. He feels something cold on the side of his head. It was a gun.
"Don't come close to me!" the man shouted. Kieran is quiet. There's more smoke. What are they thinking?
