Chapter 28 - Chapter 28: Come out!

Renn's expression was unreadable for a moment, but then he smiled, a small, calculated smile. "Drawing and singing, huh?" he said, his voice dripping with interest. "I'd like to see your drawings sometime, Kookie."

Kookie's face lit up at the suggestion, and he nodded eagerly. "Okay! I'll show you my sketchbook!" he exclaimed, his eyes sparkling with excitement.

As Kookie's enthusiasm grew, Renn's gaze seemed to gleam with a mixture of fascination and calculation. He leaned in closer, his voice taking on a conspiratorial tone. "Tell me, Kookie...what do you think Jungkook would do if he knew I was talking to you?"

Kookie's eyes widened slightly, and he looked around nervously, as if checking to make sure Jungkook wasn't listening. "Jungkook would be very mad," he whispered, his voice barely audible. "He doesn't want anyone to know about me. He thinks it's not safe." Renn's smile grew wider, and he leaned in even closer. "I see," he said, his voice low and intriguing. "Well, let's keep this little secret between us, okay? Just you and me."

Kookie looked uncertain, and then his expression changed. "I...I can't keep it a secret," he said, his voice filled with a mix of fear and resignation. "We share the same memories. If Jungkook finds out, he'll know."

Renn's smile faltered for a moment, and he seemed taken aback by Kookie's words. He leaned back, his eyes narrowing as he processed this new information. "I see," he said finally, his voice thoughtful. "Well, that changes things."

Kookie's eyes widened as he glanced at his watch, and his face paled. "Oh no, it's almost sunrise," he said, his voice filled with urgency. "Jungkook has to appear before I go back...the Shadows will definitely find something strange."

He looked around frantically, as if searching for an escape or a solution. His words trailed off, and he seemed to be mentally preparing himself for the transition back to Jungkook's personality.

Renn's gaze was fixed intently on Kookie, his expression unreadable. He seemed to be studying the dynamics of Kookie's DID, fascinated by the internal struggle. "The Shadows, huh?" he repeated, his voice low and thoughtful. "I'll be watching, Jungkook...or should I say, Kookie?"

Kookie smiled then turn concern, and he smiled weakly, saying "What should I do? Jungkook's not coming out." His voice trembled slightly, and his eyes darted around, searching for an answer.

As he spoke, Kookie's body began to tense, and his breathing quickened. It seemed like Jungkook's absence was causing him distress, and he was struggling to cope. Suddenly, Kookie's eyes glazed over, and his body relaxed, as if he was slipping back into the shadows, leaving behind a sense of uncertainty.

Kookie hastily, saying "I have to go now." Renn's voice stopped him, "Don't forget the deal." Kookie's eyes flickered to Renn's, and he nodded again before disappearing from view, leaving Renn alone with his thoughts.

Renn's gaze lingered on the spot where Kookie had been, a calculating glint in his eye. "The deal," he repeated to himself, a small smile playing on his lips. It seemed like Renn had bigger plans for Jungkook and Kookie, and this was just the beginning.

Kookie's face contorted in pain as he squeezed his hurt hand, trying to force Jungkook to emerge. He ran as fast as he could towards the HQ, desperation fueling his legs. But despite his efforts, Jungkook didn't appear. Kookie stumbled, his vision blurring from the pain and exhaustion.

He slowed down, panting heavily, and looked around frantically. The sun was rising, casting a golden glow over the landscape. Kookie knew he had to get back to the HQ before it was too late. He took a deep breath and continued running, his heart pounding in his chest.

Kookie arrived at the HQ just in time.He crept into his room, trying not to disturb Jimin, who was still fast asleep. He quickly made his way to the bathroom, his heart racing with anxiety. He washed his hand, wincing as the water touched the cut. After treating the wound, he looked at himself in the mirror, his eyes wide with fear.

Kookie's body trembled as he thought about the Shadows discovering his secrer.Kookie took deep breaths, trying to calm himself down, but his mind was racing with worst-case scenarios. He knew he had to compose himself before Jimin woke up, but it seemed like an impossible task.

Kookie's mind was a jumble of desperation and panic as he thought of ways to make Jungkook emerge. He tried everything: squeezing his hurt hand again, focusing on his memories of Jungkook's past, even attempting to mimic Jungkook's confident stride and mannerisms. But no matter what he did, Jungkook refused to come out.

Kookie's frustration and fear grew with each failed attempt. He felt like he was losing control, and the Shadows could discover his secret at any moment. His breathing quickened, and his heart pounded in his chest as he thought about the consequences of being found out. What would happen to him? Would Jungkook ever come back? The uncertainty was suffocating.

Kookie took a deep breath and tried to channel Jungkook's confident and charismatic personality. He straightened his posture, adopted Jungkook's swagger, and attempted to mimic his tone and mannerisms. It was a risk, but Kookie felt like he had no other choice.

As he walked out of the bathroom, Kookie put on a mask of calmness, trying to embody Jungkook's strong and brave persona. He hoped that by pretending to be Jungkook, he could fool everyone, including the Shadows, until Jungkook actually emerged. But Kookie knew it wouldn't be easy; one slip-up could reveal his true identity. He steeled himself for the challenge ahead, praying that his plan would work.
