Chapter 15 - As the day draws closer

6 months later on Kalpa

The past 6 months on Kalpa has been pretty ordinary by Fantasy world standards. Ever since 'The Golden Age' was announced the world has been eerily quiet. It was as if everyone was just biding their time, which they were. After learning about 'The Golden Age' ever top powerhouse turned their efforts to preparing the younger generation for what was about to come. Receiving orders from the 'Higher ups' these younger men and women found themselves tackling dungeon after dungeon. Most of these prodigies had no idea about the so call 'Golden Age', some of them just believed that they were finally getting the resources they needed to stand above everything. All across the 5 continents every powerhouse all had some absurdly talented youth that they thought was the 'Chosen One'.

In a space artifact

One could see a young man about 22 years of Age. This young man had a staggering height of 6'8, with red hair that was as dark as wine. There he stood looking out at expanse of space as he watched the different celestial bodies, he thought

'After so long of being looked down on, no more.' as he clenched his fist he said

"System show my status."

After he spoke the transparent screen appeared in front of him. While looking at his stats he was inwardly praising himself. 'I have already reached Middle Golden Core realm and soon I will breakthrough the Late Golde Core realm. Thanks to the system I was able to improve and cover many of my weaknesses.' as he continued to think he suddenly heard in communication artifact buzzing.

*Buzz* *Buzz* *Buzz*

After grabbing the artifact and pouring Mana into it, a projection started to be shown and on it, King Dune! After the projection connected King Dune began talking to Krax in much different manner than last time. Although still he was not showering him in love, at least he wasn't treating his own son like his subordinate anymore....

"Son, this mission of yours will be, perhaps the most dangerous mission anyone from our Titan race has ever taken." King Dune started speaking in a tone so serious you would think that some sort of apocalypse was approaching. Well, maybe, it is approaching, but the one's suffering? Only time will tell. King Dune continued talking to Krax about the upcoming plan to ensure no mistakes were made.

"Remember keep the necklace around your neck at all times!! We can't afford any mishaps, that necklace will conceal any traces of being a Titan. Once you make it to Kalpa, don't draw unnecessary attention to yourself, you will need to slowly make connections, find out the situation with major factions, and report back every 6 months!!!" After getting out his last orders he left one last message before ending the communications, not giving Krax a single time to speak.

"And be careful."

*click*

'Tsk, Old man, this was my plan in the first place. Did I really need you to call just to repeat everything we went over for the past 6 months?' Krax internally grumbled as focused back on the outside expanse of space while grinning.

"5 more days before I can have some fun!"

On Kalpa in a separate dimension

A dark castle, pitch black in color, around the outside of the castle one could see literal rivers of blood. The sight looked like something straight out of a medieval horror. Around the top of the castle, one could see bats.... tons of bats. These bats were far from normal, some of these bats were the sizes of humans. If this was seen by some mortal, they would probably die just from the sight.

Inside this castle one could see two people standing in front a throne. A young man and woman. The young man was outright handsome, will hair as dark as night, his skin was a healthy-looking pale, with blood red eyes that seemed to glow from time to time. The young woman next to him, she breathtaking also. She had hair dark like a raven, she was petite, not too huge nor too small, her eyes were also blood red which had a subtle glow.

These two were Lucas and Raven Bloodmoon. They were both vampire royalty. Both being direct offsprings from Vlad, The Vampire King himself, these two were the most talented of the younger generation vampires. Currently they stood in front the King and Queen of vampires.

Lucas being the oldest and the most serious out of the two decided to speak out first.

"Mother and Father." He spoke while giving a light bow. "Raven and I, have both reached The Golden Core realm.... and we overheard you two discussing something about The Academy. We both think it would be a good idea, if were finally able to compete against people our age. We both grow and learn things at an absurd rate, and continuing our training without proper competition would hinder our future growth." He said in a respective tone. Lucas, being the oldest always wanted to be someone his younger sister could lean on. He grew up wanting to be just like Vlad and to do that he needed to experience true competition.

Raven on the other hand, remained quiet as if she had other things on her mind. This is nothing new from her though, that's because she can sometimes be a bit cold. So, choosing to remain silent and go with the flow, she stood there beside her brother.

*haaa*

After exhaling, Vlad, he sat down his cup that was filled with some dark red liquid. He raised his eyes to meet his eldest son, he said

"You were going anyways." and with those words he turned back to his bloody drink before dismissing his kids.

As Lucas made his way to his room all one could see was a determination like no other.

Only one week remains before all major players converge at the gates of 'The Academy of Kalpa'.
