As Reah sat on her bed thinking of what next to do, Lucy called her. Reah stood up the phone ringing, had gotten her tensed but she was calm now.
"You finally called me, thank goodness."
Lucy laughed over the phone, she was bankrupt and wanted by the officers in her hometown and needed a place to hide.
"Can I come over for a sleep over." Reah was extremely excited she would not be sleeping alone tonight.
Reah went to Jays room to inform him of Lucy's plans, when he saw him and Carly laughing and sitting together.
She knew this was Melody's doing she frowned and knocked on the door interrupting them.
"Come in, why are you knocking?."
Reah rolled her eyes and stated that nothing was the same anymore there was a time she could come in without knocking but now she had to be conscious.
Carly stepped out of the room giving them privacy.
" Why were you laughing with her, I thought you did not like her one bit, or have you suddenly turned a new leaf?."
Jay shut his mouth tightly, there was something about Reah. He was extremely terrified of her.
"Look, Carly seems to be able to communicate with Melody. For the first time I was able to speak to her confidently knowing she hears me."
Reah rolled her eyes.
"You are a forty year old man, can you listen to yourself. Grandma."
Reah went to Susan's room, she quickly hid her phone.
"Come on Jay, why are you standing there?, come and tell Grandma why you left the office so early."
Jay stuttered.
"You see grandma, Jay has suddenly started speaking to Melody again, it's either he has finally lost his mind, or somebody is somewhere influencing and deceiving him.
Just because she wants to get closer to him."
Reah started planting doubts in Jays mind until Susan could not take it anymore, she felt pains in her chest.
Jay and Carly hurried to Grandma Susan who was having a heart attack. Reah smiled.
"You know I think, Mushroom here read your diary Jay and I am going to próove it, there is no ghost in this house and i can próove it."
Carly blinked rapidly and looked up at Reah, only one person called her mushroom. And that was her late mother.
Which meant that Reah had recalled everything including the accident, no wonder she was so mean.
Grandma Susan was taken back to the hospital by Carly, it was then Jay realized that Reah had not changed one bit. She would treat Carly the same way she treated Melody.
"You know what Reah, you are extremely selfish, that is why you have never being able to find true love.
I was lucky enough to find true love once but you might never."
Jays words pierced deep into Reahs heart, as she watched him turn his back on her.
Reah was extremely in love with Harry, but Harry never even admired her, he only focused on work.
"Forgive me, I am sure this is the first time you and your sister have exchanged such brutal words.".
Jay nodded; he was always so scared of Reah, but seeing his grandmother in this state he could not control himself anymore.
"I have you to thank for that, I am well aware that no one knows where my diary is except Melody.
So there is no way you must have read it."
Carly ran into the ward, she was worried about Grandma Susan..
Grandma Susan only smiled, and told her that she was faking it. And nothing was wrong with her, she was just tired of Reahs running mouth.
" And now Jay has seen Reahs true colours, she cares about no one other than herself, she does not deserve anything."
Carly nodded and hugged and her, she did not care about Reah. She was glad that Susan was alright.
Meanwhile back in the mansion, Reah was alone and her anger spilled over.
Jays words still rang in her mind.
"I found love once, but you might never."
She threw her mirror, and let it shatter to pieces almost hurting Lucy.
"Are you crazy?, I've being hitting the door bell for hours and got no response."
Reah exhaled heavily, and ran to hug Lucy.
"I'm sorry, I never knew you came so soon. When did you arrive?."
Lucy patted her "Calm down, take a deep breath, I know you have missed me.
I called so many times, check your phone."
Lucy was back, Becky Susan's Best friend was still at home and heard her voice.
She was not happy at all, these two were always up to mischief.
And Lucy was yet to learn of Jays wedding. She needed to tell Grandma Susan quickly.
"Now I have seen enough of you let me go and say hi to my sweet mother in law."
Reahs head spinned when she heard the word 'mother in law.'
She had forgotten to tell Lucy about Jays new wife.
"Grandma is at the hospital, so you will have to wait here, unless you want to say hi to her friend Becky."
Becky who was eaves dropping was about to run away when Lucy opened the door.
"Why will you say hi to me, I am the one who is supposed to welcome you." Becky laughed awkwardly.
"You are so sweet aunt Becky, please fetch me a glass of water."
Becky nodded and ran away glad she was not suspected.
"Uhmm, Lucy. You and my brother Jay broke up years ago, why do still refer to my grandma as your mother in law."
Lucy cleared her throat, gesturing with her hands and postures.
"When two people are destined for one another, nothing can keep them apart. Not even a tiny bit of misunderstanding."
Reah rubbed the back of her neck with her palm.
'I see Lucy has finally become obsessed with my brother after all.'
Reah thought to myself.
Becky laced Lucy's drink with sleeping medicine and gave it to her. She gulped it hurriedly and fell on the bed few minutes later.
Becky also brought a glass for Reah, the same date befell her and both were asleep.
