After Sean and the others began to rest, Xie Dao silently flew to the lookout on Sean's ship. Dory, exhausted from treating Vexi and the others, was meant to be resting, and it was supposed to be Sean's turn to keep watch. However, due to the intense training that day, Sean had accidentally fallen asleep. This allowed Xie Dao to float around the ship recklessly without worry.
At that moment, Xie Dao was feeling confused. Rom's Zoan-type Giraffe-Giraffe Fruit had appeared in the original story. In One Piece, Kaku, a current shipwright of Water 7 and a secret CP9 agent for the World Government received this very fruit as a reward for capturing Nico Robin. That meant Rom would die within a year, which is why the fruit had resurfaced in the world.
Then, a sudden realization struck Xie Dao: "If Rom dies, what about Sean and the others? The main timeline of the primary world might be influenced, but Devil Fruits is a major part of the main storyline. Drastic changes could affect the entire One-Piece world. That would mean Rom's death is inevitable. The most immediate threat is the Twisted Pirate Crew, right? Will Sean die too?"
Gazing up at the starry sky, Xie Dao fell deep into thought. Unfortunately, no one was there to answer his questions.
"Forget it, better take care of business first. After all, we finally made it to an island," Xie Dao muttered, annoyed by his speculations. According to some theories from his previous life, every world had its own "will," and it wouldn't let someone change the world easily. Plus, he still had tasks to complete.
His blade shot through the air, diving into the mountain of Whiskey Peak and entering the town where Shile and the others lived. It was midnight, and the guards on night duty were already nodding off. Since Xie Dao was flying and hard to spot, he slipped into the town effortlessly.
With a clear goal, he flew through every house. Any time he saw a blade or weapon, he would slice it in two. Thanks to his body being one of the Supreme Grade Blades, any weapon below the "Grade Blade" level was like tofu to him—silently cut cleanly in half.
After the battle at Reverse Mountain where Sean used Bloodchaser to wipe out the Scorchblade Pirates, Xie Dao noticed his hardness and sharpness had slightly improved. Although the vice-captain Kolina's twin blades weren't Grade Blade level, together with the rest of the crew's weapons, the cumulative gain equaled that of two Grade Blades. That made Xie Dao understands how to power himself up.
Now that he was on an island full of bounty hunters, the weapon count was surely high. He chose this perfect moment to infiltrate the town.
When he cut the first blade, a faint energy flowed from the weapon into his body, slightly boosting his stats. Xie Dao was ecstatic.
"As expected, since that's how it works, I won't be polite!"
He smirked wickedly, looking at the town like a treasure trove, flying from house to house, blade to blade, slicing through them all. Then he paused in one room—stunned by what he saw.
His eyes lit up with excitement and joy. It was the town's armory—hundreds of brand-new blades neatly lined up. After just getting a taste of the benefits, Xie Dao's eyes went red with greed. He started slashing like crazy.
Twenty minutes later, Xie Dao left the town satisfied, and his stats panel had significantly changed:

Pleased with the increase in hardness and sharpness, Xie Dao returned to the ship and waited for his Self-Control skill to come off cooldown. After thirty minutes, his spirit jolted awake, and he immediately flew into the sea.
After drifting for a while, he dived. Soon, he spotted a fish several meters long. A single slash severed its head, dyeing the surrounding waters red.
He waited. Soon, dozens of giant black shadows—each over ten meters long—appeared. Xie Dao charged straight into them, releasing slash after slash of blood-gold blade energy, tearing the sea beasts apart.
Wave after wave, Xie Dao slaughtered them all. His small size and the blood cloud kept him hidden. Even if he was swallowed, his supreme blade body could easily cut his way out. Thus, he had no fear.
Twenty minutes passed. Xie Dao calculated the time and decided it was enough. If he stayed longer, he'd sink into the deep sea. He flew away, leaving the sea kings to kill each other—until a massive shadow swallowed the area whole, and the sea finally quieted.
Xie Dao discovered that if he hunted alone, he gained 100% flesh collection. So, for several nights, he secretly hunted sea kings. Each one gave about 0.7% collection, explaining the recent growth in his power.
As time passed and the sun rose, the world felt calm and peaceful.
But in one part of Whiskey Peak…
"Damn it! Where's my blade?! What's this shard… Who the hell did this?!"
"AHH! My sword! Who broke it?! WHO?!"
"Why is my blade broken?!…"
"The whole armories' destroyed?! We're screwed—who did this?! WHO?!"
The town exploded into chaos. All the blades had mysteriously shattered overnight—without a sound. If the culprit had targeted them instead of their weapons… the thought sent chills down their spines. The unknown was the most terrifying.
Looking at the fragments, fear showed on everyone's face. No one dared investigate further. They all valued their lives more than their weapons. And as for suspecting Sean and his crew? Laughable. Just rookies from the South Blue. Pirates of the Grand Line looked down on newcomers from the four seas, thinking themselves superior. Though they occasionally suffered for that arrogance, more often than not, the four sea pirates either submitted or died.
Back on the ship, Sean and the crew woke up energized. Even Vexi and the others who had fought the night before had recovered completely. This was the terrifying physiology of One-Piece characters—highly advanced in some ways, bizarrely primitive in others.
Sean stood at the bow, full of passion and hope, and shouted,
"Brothers, set sail! Let's go!"
Takli and Rom unfurled the sails, Dory raised the anchor, and Vexi took the helm. The first island had already brought them a huge power boost. Sean gripped Bloodchaser confidently. When they next encountered the Twisted Pirates, he was ready to fight!
Their next destination: an island filled with ancient forests—Little Garden.
(I don't know the exact route, so just enjoy the story! Don't take it too seriously! )
With the Log Pose, Vexi quickly confirmed their heading. The crew began daily training again, this time with Rom joining in. The Giraffe Fruit gave him strength and speed, but true growth came from refining the body to further develop the Devil Fruit. Once fully developed, the user could awaken the fruit, gaining full-beast transformation and terrifying strength.
Train, eat, rest, train—everyone knew the battles ahead would be tough, so no one slacked off.
Four days passed. In the distance, a giant tree-covered island came into view.
Little Garden had arrived.
They docked. No one stayed behind this time. The island was uninhabited, and due to Whiskey Peak pirates regularly eliminating passersby, this route was rarely traveled, leaving the island in pristine condition.
Everyone disembarked. There was no real danger—just wildlife. The Log Pose needed time to record the island's magnetic field, which could take hours or days depending on the island's size and field complexity.
Sean looked around—no sense of danger, just animals.
"Let's all explore freely. Be careful. If you run into trouble, yell. I'll get there fast."
Everyone agreed. They weren't weak anymore. After the battle between Vexi, Takli, and Rom, they'd grown significantly stronger. Sean wasn't worried.
"Then, pick a direction and head out."
Sean took the lead into the forest. The others exchanged glances, nodded, and followed suit—each going their way...
Xie Dao noticed the island too. Recognizing it as Little Garden, he lost interest. There weren't any worthwhile blades here. Even the dinosaurs likely wouldn't offer a better flesh collection than a small Sea King. And as for the two giants? He doubted Sean's crew could take them down. Besides, those two weren't evil—giants were known for their straightforwardness and honesty. Xie Dao had no intention of fighting them. Instead, he simply stared at his stats panel, grinning foolishly.
During this time, Sean had spent most of his time hunting Sea Kings to power up. Xie Dao also snuck out nightly to grind levels, and the results showed:
