Sean had chosen a location near the center of the island. As he walked through the dense forest, towering trees blocked his vision in all directions. The flowers and plants here were several times larger than normal, making it the perfect hunting ground for carnivorous predators to conceal themselves.
Suddenly, a rustling sound came from the underbrush. A massive black shadow loomed over Sean. From behind a gigantic tree, a terrifying head slowly emerged—full of sharp fangs, saliva dripping from its mouth, and a body stretching seven to eight meters long. This was one of the rulers of the forest: a TyrannosaurusRex.
Because the island was rarely visited by humans, the ecological system had remained untouched and balanced. Most creatures here hadn't evolved or regressed but maintained their primeval forms—and that meant dinosaurs roamed free.
Sean didn't even turn around. He simply smiled faintly.
"So, you finally couldn't resist? I thought you didn't dare make a move. Since you've come out—then lend me your strength."
He placed his hand on the hilt of his blade and calmly stood his ground.
The T-Rex, seeing that its prey had entered striking range, could no longer restrain itself. With a roar, it charged forward.
Yet Sean showed no fear. Slowly, he unsheathed his sword and stabbed it into the ground. Instantly, a blood-golden aura of sword energy erupted in a three-meter radius around him. The T-Rex, as if sensing some terrible force, suddenly froze in place, eyes wide with fear, completely paralyzed.
Sean calmly sheathed his sword and, feeling a slight increase in power, turned and continued deeper into the forest.
This blood-gold aura was a newly mastered technique—Causal Blade Domain—a form of advanced sword energy manipulation that even stunned Xie Dao. It was far beyond what should exist in this era. While not necessarily the last of its kind, it was certainly one-of-a-kind for its time.
When Sean first awakened this technique, even Xie Dao was shocked. If fully developed, this ability could annihilate everything within a certain radius in an instant. The thought alone was terrifying.
The more powerful the technique, the more convinced Xie Dao was that he had chosen the right person to follow. However, he still harbored deep concerns—he feared that Sean would either be killedorcrippled.
According to the timeline, if Sean kept growing at this pace, he could become one of the Supernovas within a year. But clearly, he hadn't appeared in the original One-Piece story. That meant— Sean might be killed, captured, or crippled before that happens.
Xie Dao's instincts told him Sean was heading toward his demise, and the likely culprit would be the Twisted Pirate Crew. Although Xie Dao desperately wanted to warn him, how could a grudge as deep as genocide be resolved just by words? All he could do now was help Sean grow stronger and fight alongside him.
But back to the present— Sean was in high spirits. This island was full of dinosaurs. While they didn't grant as much power as Sea Kings, at least he didn't have to deal with water resistance or hold his breath. So, he cut his way through the jungle mercilessly.
Eventually, after finishing off a triceratops, a massive figure parted the trees—revealing a gianthumanhead, wearing a sturdy helmet, with a long beard and thick braids. In one hand was a massive iron sword several meters long. The giant's eyes locked onto Sean, glaring.
Then the giant roared, his voice shaking the forest:
"AAAAAH! You—you killed my pet! I raised that dinosaur for a whole year! And you just killed it?! I'LL KILL YOU!!"
The moment the enraged giant locked onto him; Sean felt an overwhelming force of will pressing down on him. He was completely unable to escape.
"A Giant?! What's a Giant doing here? That's impossible!"
There was no time to think. The giant's colossal sword came crashing down. Sean narrowly dodged but was still sent flying by the shockwave, tumbling several times before regaining his balance. He stared at the massive crater left by the attack, swallowing hard.
"If that hit me directly… I'd be half-dead at best."
Giants—a warrior race in One Piece—towering beings with overwhelming strength and lifespans of up to 350 years, more than triple that of humans. Though some were kind-hearted, most were known for their aggressive and brutal nature. A full-grown Giant could serve as a ViceAdmiral in the Navy Headquarters.
They mainly lived in Elbaf, the warriors' village, in the New World—a recognized superpower and home to the world's strongest fighters. Prince Loki, once enamored with Big Mom's daughter Lola, proposed marriage, but Lola fled. This worsened tensions with Big Mom, yet even she dared not offend the Giants—proof of their fearsome strength.
And this wasn't just any Giant.
This was Dorry the Blue Ogre, co-captain of the legendary Giant Warrior Pirates, with a bounty of 100 million Berries from over a century ago. Adjusted for inflation, that figure was far more valuable back then.
Dorry and his partner Brogy had been dueling on this island for over 100 years, battling daily with real weapons, real blood, and real wounds—all over a question posed by a little girl: who is stronger?
People often dismissed them because of the anime, they were taken out easily by Mr. 3. But let's be honest—if someone stuffed your stomach full of explosives and detonated them, you'd be weakened too. Even so, Dorry and Brogy later launched a powerful combo attack and killed a giant island-eating fish with one strike. That level of power is no joke.
There's no faster way to grow than fighting someone evenly matched. After decades of such fights, Dory's current strength was a mystery.
Now, Sean was about to face that.
He slowly drew his blade. His eyes burned with fighting spirit.
"If you want to fight—then bring it on! I won't back down!"
