Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 - Rising to the Top by Picking Up Trash!

Evening.

New York, Manhattan.

Inside a three-story building bearing the sign "Everywhere Logistics Company – New York Branch," the light in the top floor's storage room suddenly flickered on.

The storage room itself looked ordinary, but the things inside were anything but.

The most eye-catching item was a disc-shaped round shield, painted in red, white, and blue, with a white five-pointed star in the center.

It had a name that anyone could recognize instantly, Captain America's Shield.

Beneath it lay a double-edged blade shaped like a helicopter propeller. Known as the Tyrant's Heavenly Blade, it was the weapon of the cosmic tyrant Thanos and had once shattered the shield above it.

Aside from Captain America's shield and Thanos's blade, the room held countless other miscellaneous items, scattered throughout various corners.

"No sign of Thor's hammer again..." Fenris sighed as he opened his backpack and placed today's haul into a safe.

Over thirty thousand US dollars in cash, several gold necklaces and rings, and an unknown number of potentially valuable pieces of jewelry.

Just like everything else in the room, all of it came from Fenris's scavenging trips into the Void.

The Void lay at the end of the timeline, a dumping ground for time itself.

Within the Sacred Timeline, all pruned time offenders and time branches from across parallel universes were thrown into the Void like trash, doomed to be devoured by Alioth.

Alioth was a living storm of immense size that consumed both matter and energy. Its sole purpose was to destroy everything pruned and cast into the Void.

Other than various versions of Loki, nearly no one had survived in the Void, let alone escaped from it.

At present, Fenris was the only one who had done it.

In his early twenties, Fenris once dreamed of living in the Marvel Universe, punching the Ancient One, stepping on Thanos, and defeating every superhero and villain in his path.

Black Widow?

Scarlet Witch?

Mine.

All mine.

He would wield power over the world and sleep beside goddesses.

That would make his journey through reincarnation worthwhile.

But instead, he ended up in a place even more dangerous than a post-apocalyptic survival world, the Void.

If not for the system, if not for the mysterious power he gained during his crossing...

The best he could have hoped for was to survive in hiding until Loki and Sylvie arrived, just to hitch a ride out.

Omnipotent Omniscient System.

Dimensional Teleportation was the power he somehow received during his crossover, originating from a lesser-known yet god-tier Marvel character, Impossible Man.

Impossible Man could transform into any Marvel character and gain their abilities, including writers and the narrators of the comics.

He could even become entities like the Living Tribunal and the Beyonders, though not the One Above All.

If he transformed into a Marvel editor or narrator, he could rewrite the rules of the universe, turning Thor's hammer into a toy or stripping the Beyonders of all their power.

Impossible Man's power level was at the omnipotent cosmic tier from the start.

What Fenris remembered most about him was how he once crossed into the DC Universe and brought Superman into the Marvel Universe.

And he did that using Dimensional Teleportation.

Fenris suspected that during his crossover, he must have witnessed Impossible Man fighting or perhaps even been targeted by him, which is how he ended up with the teleportation ability as a drop.

Though he didn't obtain all of Impossible Man's powers, just having Dimensional Teleportation as a free "starter pack" instantly turned his hell-difficulty opening into an easy one.

Using this ability, Fenris turned the Void, the timeline's garbage dump, into his own personal treasure trove, visiting occasionally to scavenge.

The "Everywhere Logistics Company – New York Branch" was the result of his hard work.

Although the company was currently nothing but an empty shell with no employees, and its so-called headquarters didn't even exist yet, he had already purchased the building.

A single thread doesn't make a rope. One tree doesn't make a forest.

Power comes from below.

If Kingpin weren't a wealthy underground emperor, he would've been caught by the police long ago.

If Thanos had no Black Order or army, he wouldn't have been able to slaughter half the universe and earn the name Tyrant.

If He Who Remains, a variant of Kang the Conqueror, hadn't founded the Time Variance Authority, would he have been able to sit quietly at the end of time and use the Sacred Timeline to control the free will of every being in the multiverse?

Speaking of the TVA, its existence was both a blessing and a curse for Fenris.

The upside was that it kept pruning time offenders and branches, ensuring a constant supply of "trash" into the Void for him to collect.

The downside was that everyone in the multiverse had their free will stripped away. Their entire lives, from birth to death, had already been predetermined.

Take Loki, for example.

According to the Sacred Timeline, he was supposed to be strangled to death by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War.

But in Avengers: Endgame, the Avengers used the Quantum Realm to travel back to the Battle of New York and borrow the Infinity Stones. Loki unexpectedly obtained the Space Stone and escaped.

His escape broke the predetermined path where he should have been taken back to Asgard by Thor, which triggered a ripple effect.

The TVA labeled him a time offender, captured him, pruned the resulting time branch, and reset the timeline.

That allowed the old version of Loki to continue along the set course.

Fenris didn't want any timeline involving him to be pruned, only for the past version of himself to continue repeating his path, getting pruned again and again.

That would create an endless cycle, ultimately spawning countless versions of himself across different timelines.

So he made his first small goal very clear. Become the Lord of the Void and take control of the Time Variance Authority.
