It was a deep sleep.
That night, Kaelion had a dream.
He found himself in a vast, empty space, surrounded only by stars.
There was no ground, no sky — only silence and light.
Yet, he had full control of his body and mind, as if he were awake.
"This… could it be? Am I about to Awaken?"
he whispered, his voice filled with awe.
It had always been his dream.
As a child, he devoured stories about the Awakened — beings of power, dominance, and legend.
He admired their strength. Envied their freedom.
"What Law… what Element will I Awaken?"
His eyes sparkled with hope, his expression brighter than it had ever been.
Suddenly, the starlit sky began to fracture.
The stars shifted slowly, aligning to form a single glowing word in the void:
Space.
"W-what?! This is… incredible! The Law of Space… one of the strongest and rarest!"
Kaelion's heart raced. His crimson eyes gleamed with childlike joy.
A wide, stunned grin spread across his face.
The Law of Space.
The dream of countless people across the Empire — and now it was his.
"It has to be a dream…"
he muttered, glancing around nervously.
"Of course it's a dream, idiot. This is exactly how the Awakening is supposed to happen."
he scolded himself, shaking his head.
But something changed.
The word Space slowly drifted to the left.
To his right, the stars stirred violently. A sudden flash of blinding light filled his vision.
He shielded his eyes.
When he looked again, his jaw dropped.
There, above him in the sky, another word had appeared:
Time.
Space. Time.
Side by side.
Two of the most powerful Laws in existence.
Among the eighty billion humans within the Empire, fewer than a thousand had awakened the Law of Space.
Even fewer had awakened Time.
To awaken two Laws was beyond rare — a 0.03% chance, some said.
But to awaken both Space and Time, two intertwined, supreme concepts?
That was impossible.
Or it had been. Until now.
"This can't be real… Someone must have trapped me in an illusion."
Kaelion's voice trembled with disbelief.
He stood frozen in place, staring up at the impossible.
Then he heard it.
A voice echoed through the void —
soft, commanding, unmistakably divine.
"Awakening complete. Laws awakened: Space – Time.
In six months, you will return to this place.
We hope that you, chosen by Space and Time, will not disappoint our expectations."
A woman's voice.
It could only be one: the Dream Goddess, who spoke to all during their Awakening.
The words Space and Time faded.
The stars began to tremble.
Kaelion turned as a black hole opened in the distance, pulling everything inward —
including him.
"Ahhh!"
He jolted awake.
His body was soaked in sweat.
His heart pounded like a war drum.
Still disoriented, he looked at his wrists.
And there they were.
On the left — the symbol of Space.
On the right — the symbol of Time.
It was real.
The Awakening had happened.
Kaelion lay back down on the bed, staring at the crumbling ceiling, a foolish grin on his face.
