Selene ~
It's been a week since that morning.
I'd been seeing Christopher around, he does do his magic trick before I go on stage to act but he doesn't actively talk to me anymore. He's gotten… distant.
And I didn't like it.
There was no explanation, nothing, he just disappeared like he'd never been in my life. He left. And even though I wasn't supposed to be bothered by it, I still was.
It was almost time for me to act out my scene, he was sitting right there, not paying me any attention. I missed his jabs, his sarcasm, his presence.
I hadn't realized it earlier but knowing that he was on my side and always around was a sense of comfort and now that he wasn't even looking my way, I missed it.
Damn it, I missed him.
I adjusted my costume and stared at Christopher while Gladys patted powder under my eyes. The director gave the usual rundown, but my attention kept shifting to the corner where Christopher sat. He looked unbothered, and he still wasn't looking my way.
