Chapter 21: Is this your confidence?
Samir shivered all over, but he dared not make a move.
"You say you're Huxley's right-hand man, right?" Chasel Mills turned to Elliot Price and said casually, "Perfect. Call him over."
Elliot Price was the kind of guy who had blood on his hands and dirty dealings. Huxley coming here was just what they needed!
With that, Chasel Mills settled onto the couch and began to wait.
Elliot's face lit up with joy at Chasel's willingness to let him call for backup.
Samir felt a wave of relief wash over him.Huxley would come, and once he saw how Chasel had injured so many people, Chasel would be finished.
Chasel could take on ten men, but could he really handle fifty or a hundred?
With that thought, Samir began to feel more at ease.
"Samir, let's get out of here!"
However, at that moment, Nora Mills whispered, wanting to take Samir away from this dangerous place.
She planned to sneak off and call the police.
Though she had no fondness for Chasel Mills, she didn't want anything bad to happen to him either.
As for Chasel Mills' threats, Nora Mills didn't take them seriously at all. This matter had nothing to do with Samir.
"No, I need to stay to clear my name. I don't want anyone thinking I'm involved," she insisted.
Samir shook his head and quietly said to Nora, which made her look at him with a softer expression, appreciating his sense of responsibility.
However, Nora was planning to call the police discreetly.
"Nora, don't call the cops," Chasel Mills seemed to sense her intentions and spoke up.Nora froze for a moment.
"Then just wait to die!" she shot back, stomping her foot in frustration. She quickly tucked her phone away and turned her back, refusing to look at Chasel Mills any longer.
Arrogant, self-important, ignorant, and utterly reckless...
Nora felt that Chasel Mills was beyond redemption at this point.
Before long, Huxley, who had been nearby, arrived with a group of people, fuming with anger.
He had just taken over Billy Bruno's position, and there were already discontented voices beneath him. With external threats looming, his position was still shaky. Now, someone was causing trouble in his territory and had even injured one of the brothers from Heaven on Earth. They were clearly asking for trouble.
Huxley was determined. Today, he would make sure the other party left in disgrace, establishing his authority both internally and externally.
However, when Huxley and his group of followers arrived at the Heaven on Earth club, a figure pacing back and forth in the lobby caught his attention.
"Miss Allen?" Huxley paused, surprised.
Michelle Allen was anxiously walking around, holding a tear-streaked Belle in her arms. At the sound of his voice, Michelle froze and turned around.
She saw a bald man with a face full of excess flesh, flanked by a group of men in black, approaching her.
"What do you want? I've already called the police," Michelle said, stepping back two paces to shield Belle, her face a mask of frost. Inside, she was deeply worried about Chasel Mills. At the same time, she cursed under her breath, wondering why the police hadn't arrived yet!
"Miss Allen, please don't misunderstand, I'm not—" Huxley quickly tried to explain.
But halfway through his sentence, his expression changed dramatically.Miss Allen, did Mr. Mills have a conflict with someone here?"
Huxley quickly explained, "What do you want? I've already called the police. If you dare to mess around..."
Before Michelle Allen could finish her sentence, Huxley slapped his bald head and suddenly understood. "Miss Allen, don't worry, I'm not here to cause trouble for Mr. Mills. I'm here to help him out of a jam."
With that, Huxley led his group, rushing toward the VIP room. As for the KTV manager, he tried to approach, but Huxley shoved him aside without a second thought—there was no time to deal with them.Huxley's group numbered around fifty, creating quite a stir. Even before they reached the VIP room, the noise from their arrival was deafening.
Elliot Price and Samir felt a surge of excitement. "Chasel Mills is done for!"
But while they were thrilled, Nora Mills felt a shiver of dread. Finally, Huxley and his crew burst into the room.
As soon as he entered, Huxley saw the injured scattered across the floor. His expression changed immediately.
"Huxley, it's him! He injured so many of our brothers and even threatened to make sure you wouldn't have a good end, acting like you'renothing..."
When Huxley arrived, a crowd of people followed him, filling the hallway and spilling out of the private room. Elliot Price felt his confidence surge once more.
He immediately walked toward Huxley, eager to speak. However, before he could finish his sentence, Huxley strode up to him and swung his arm, delivering a sharp slap across Elliot's face.
"Shut up! Who the hell told you to offend Mr. Mills?" Huxley shouted.
The slap left Elliot dazed!
Samir and Nora Mills were equally stunned by Huxley's words.Mr. Mills is my friend. Offending him means you're offending me! Get down on your knees and apologize to Mr. Mills right now!" After the slap, Huxley followed up with a swift kick, sending Elliot crashing to the ground.
Neither the slap nor the kick held back any force.
This scene left Nora and Samir's expressions frozen in disbelief.
Nora's face shifted through various emotions as she clutched her phone in her pocket, ready to call the police again, but her grip gradually loosened.
The expression on Chasel Mills's face was incredibly complex. Huxley's friend. Is thisyour confidence?
However, in the next moment, Chasel Mills's words left Nora Mills and the others momentarily stunned.
"Put away your little schemes. You didn't come here to call him out and apologize to me."
"I just want him dead; I don't want to get myhands dirty, so I'm letting you do it!"
Chasel Mills glanced at Huxley and said casually.
At those words, Samir, who had felt utterly defeated moments before, suddenly felt a surge of hope.
What a reckless move!
Having taken over Billy's position, Huxley had already become one of the big players in the underground scene of Verdant City. Only Samir's father had the standing to deal with someone like Huxley on equal terms; Samir himself didn't even qualify.
He could only interact with Huxley's subordinates, like Elliot Price. He hadn't expected that Chasel Mills was a friend of Huxley's. The moment he heard Huxley speak, Samir was shocked.
But now, Huxley had given Chasel Mills enough face, yet Chasel Mills was showing Huxley none in return.
Samir could almost predict Huxley's reaction to this.
As soon as Huxley entered, he dealt with Elliot Price first, forcing him to kneel and admit his mistakes, clearly intending to protect Elliot.
Little did he expect to be directly called out by Chasel Mills.
Huxley wasn't foolish; from this, he could tell that Chasel Mills had murderous intent. As longas Elliot Price was alive, Chasel Mills would definitely not let it go!
Huxley's expression shifted rapidly.
"Of course, you can also choose to refuse!"
Chasel Mills's gaze fell, calmly looking at Huxley as if discussing something trivial.
However, the moment Huxley, who had been somewhat hesitant, heard Chasel Mills's words, cold sweat instantly broke out on his shiny bald head.
Though he didn't know exactly who Chasel Mills was, everything about him—from his demeanor to his overwhelming presence that seemed to look down on the world—made it clear that he was no ordinary person. Moreover, even among the wealthy families of Verdant City, no one had such power, nor did they have a group of fierce, armed followers by their side.
On top of that, Chasel Mills had previously given him an address, saying that if he needed anything, he could find him there.
That address turned out to be "Xiangti Villa"!
That place was not somewhere an ordinary person could reside.
At least, the old Billy could never have scraped together tens of millions to buy a villa there.
"Chasel Mills!"Nora Mills stomped her foot and whispered, a hint of urgency on her delicate face. She gestured to Chasel Mills, signaling him not to push his luck.
"Even if you're friends with Huxley, do you really think it's wise to talk to him like that? Aren't you afraid he might turn on you?"
It was baffling how he could be so reckless. The situation could have ended perfectly, yet he was determined to make it worse.
However, the next moment, Huxley's reaction surprised everyone once again.
"Mr. Mills, how do you want Elliot Price to die?"
