Chapter 5 - :Academy Hero Advancement Program

During recent years, deaths had been occurring without the notice of the Hero Organization. The head of the villain group, Fallen, often sends a villain decoy as always while he acts on his main objective—

which is taking the energy source of talented individuals with rare abilities. This would end up killing them and making him stronger.

It had been happening without your notice, and this drive has all its files.

Currently, he seeks to capture the boy with decay abilities after mercilessly killing his father, and without a doubt, the boy child is next.

I hope this message finds the Hero Organization well, and you should start deployment of heroes in the field, rather than in your little castle.

Because while you're doing that, your biggest hidden threat grows stronger with the deaths of innocent lives.

"We confirmed the drive, and the person was right. Whoever this Fallen is, he's no doubt the biggest threat," said a middle-aged man with a ponytail hairstyle and a scar on his left eye.

"But it could still be a trap Sir", the man added.

The president of the Hero Organization had his hands underneath his gut. He sighs.

Portraits of him in his red-black wing suit filled the room. His days as a hero had come to an end.

"Still, we can't sit hoping it's a trap", said the H.O President.

Whoever wrote the message was right. The academy should let the students be open to world threats now, rather than keeping them caged.

"Then I think it's time we begin the Hero Advancement Program," said the H.O. president.

"You believe they're ready?" asked the man.

"We won't be certain until they show it on the field." The president stood up, turning around and facing the transparent building's glass.

"Begin the Academy Hero Advancement Program, starting with Class A-1 and A-2," said the president. "Their objective is to find that kid."

Meanwhile...

A little boy was walking along the walkway in a black hoodie. He had his hands tucked in his trousers as he blew whistles, filling the air.

"Woah, that smells good," he muttered with a smile.

Turning to his side, he saw the chocolate pancake and licked his lips.

The boy walked towards the cake shop. However, a glass box was blocking him from the hot chocolate cake.

"Hey kid, don't you dare mess with me!" a fat man yelled at him, his apron stained with spices and stuff.

That alone was enough to tell he was the one behind the creation of the cake. However, as the fat man was approaching the boy, one of the waiters walked into him.

"Watch where you're going, you idiot!" the fat man cursed.

"Sor... sorr—"

"Out of my way!"

Bam!

Before the waiter could complete his words, the fat man had tossed him outside and ran out. "What? Where's my cake?" he muttered.

His glass box had somehow reduced without the glasses on the floor. It just looked like the glass had rusted—or rather, decayed.

"Those little ability users... oh, I'll have the whole Hero League looking for you, kid," said the fat man.

While in class, Aiden had his head facing the desk. For Christ's sake, he wished his classmates would just shut up for once.

Aiden didn't even know a class of eleven heroes could accumulate this much disaster. In his villain days, his class was usually quiet—or rather mature. These ones were just like kids.

With no teacher in class—or rather the whole academy—it was really something else.

Although he understood a few things that might be happening, which could be about the letter and the drive.

"Hey, my man! So how'd it go with Lady Nova?"

And to top his relaxation mode, Ray threw his hands around Aiden's shoulder.

"Woah... tell me that's Electro Doc," Ray muttered, the same words the class was now whispering.

The name sounded familiar to Aiden, and he already knew only a licensed hero could make them this humble. He rose his head up.

His eyes instantly met with the white-haired man. Hmmm, that kid looks familiar, thought Electro Doc.

No way he remembers me, right? thought Aiden, knowing his cover would be blown completely.

The man turned towards their teacher, who was looking very beautiful today, and asked what Aiden's ability was.

Asher Morgan looked at Aiden. She didn't want to say it out loud and just whispered the words in Electro Doc's ears.

Hmmm... A null hero; certainly cannot be the villain who kicked my ass then, thought Electro Doc with relief and a smile. He cleared his throat and was about to begin.

He sighs.

"Your class and A-1 class will be experiencing the first-hand Hero Advancement Program."

He hadn't even finished what he was saying, and some of the students were already murmuring about what that was.

"The Hero Advancement Program will be your exams for this year, where you'll now be opened to field villains and protection.

This will put you at risk, but that's the point of being a hero—protecting the world with our lives.

You'll go home and get approval from your guardians, but do note: failure to participate will result in an automatic fail of the exams."

Many students had gone home, and while some families were excited they'd be getting a real chance in the field, some families strictly rejected.

And Class A-2 was only left with six members: Aiden, Ray, and four other girls.

"After getting your approval, you'll rendezvous at the airport. Your objective will be handed out on the plane, and supervision will only be done virtually."

"Nice front row seat... Hehehe," said Ray as he jumped on the plane with his bags, while Aiden brought nothing but himself.

The six members from Class A-2 were now in the plane, with Electro Doc still on board.

For the students, it was an exam... but for Aiden, this was him making the whole academy do his bidding.

This is it... Fallen will have no choice but to come out, thought Aiden.

And with that, the plane took off.
