The bustling city was like nothing the heroes had seen back at their Doomsday Island, but this city was nothing more than a quiet zone.
Electro Doc was no longer with Class A-2 students, still clueless that they were in a competition with Class A-1. First to find and secure the kid gets the highest mark.
"Damn, weak accommodations. The academy has really taken this far," said Ray, staring at the image of the little house meant for them.
The girls had the most luggage, and now, looking around with widened eyes, Eva was unexpectedly among these girls.
"Jeez, can't believe that girl came along as well," Ray whispered. As he said that, Eva sent dagger stares at him. "Shit, do you think she heard me?"
Without saying anything, Aiden walked away from them, heading toward the road.
Then a black limo car drove in front of him. The door was automatically opened for him to go in, and it shut itself as well.
Then, as he was inside, the luggage section of the car opened itself as well.
The girls had to look at Ray, who was looking like a stray dog on the other side. After seconds of bewilderment, Aiden decided to roll down the window.
"If you prefer the truck Electro Doc has for you, you could wait."
Without further words, Ray quickly placed his luggage in the boot, and the girls did the same before the car drove off.
Inside the car, they kept wondering where they were heading. Most of them, and especially Ray, had thought Aiden must have a wealthy family here.
The limo stopped in front of a mansion, waiting for the black steel gates to open. As it unlocked fully, Alfred drove in.
The long drive finally came to a stop, and as the students came out, awe and amazement at the surroundings welcomed them. There were even maidens working in the beautiful garden.
"This so does not look like the accommodation from the academy," said Ray. "Man, you must have a very rich uncle."
Accompanying Ray's words, the butlers from inside the mansion walked out and began taking their luggage, telling them to follow them to their respective guest rooms.
Ray waited for Aiden, and as they reached the door, "Welcome home, Master Aiden. We've checked the house, and it's worth the amount you bought it. A good taste, Master Aiden."
"Thanks, Alfredo," Aiden replied to the old man.
"Wait, what? You bought this accommodation? Are you kidding me?" yelled Ray. Aiden just gave him stares of disappointment.
"Come on, we don't have time to waste. We gotta find the kid before anyone does."
"Anyone?" asked Ray, because he didn't exactly know what was going on. They were both walking behind Alfredo, leading them to a place Ray couldn't tell.
"We obviously aren't the only ones looking for this kid," said Eva.
"Aaaah... what the hell, where did she come from?"
"Finding someone we have no idea how he looks?" another girl walked out the wall. It kept getting scarier by the moment.
Aiden, on the other hand, still kept calm, and finally, the five of them reached the black gold steel door.
Alfredo pushed the door open and stepped aside. The inside was pretty dark, and the rest of them stood outside, feeling scared.
However, Eva was the first to step in, and Aiden felt something off about her. What if his instincts about her working for Fallen were right?
As she walked in, the room lit up with lights. "Damn, we've got our own personal Batcave. Damn, man, how rich are you?" said Ray.
The room was filled with different gadgets and multiple screens at the end. It was definitely a resemblance to a hero's lair, but bigger, with more gadgets and many computers.
"I take it back. Maybe finding the kid wouldn't be that hard," said the other girl.
"Uh, guys, there's a girl inside," said Ray.
Immediately he said so, a blue-haired girl rotated her seat to face them. Surprised to see them, she took off her headset.
"Aiden, you're home," said the girl, running toward Aiden and giving him a tight hug.
"Hey Asami, what goes on?"
For the first time, Ray heard Aiden speak in a calm and respectful voice, because he was certain if someone else had asked Aiden that, the person would possibly get snubbed.
"Welp, nothing much. Oh, check out the Automobido I got for you."
Asami ran back to the computers and clicked a few buttons. A loud beeping sound was heard as the car gradually floated from a steel ground far from them.
"Shit, you even have a hot mechanic," said Ray.
"Asami is my little sister."
"Phew, that means I've got a chance."
"Exchange a simple hi with her and you've killed yourself."
With that, Aiden began walking toward Asami. The girls behind Ray chuckled and walked past him as well.
"Asami, what info you've got for me?"
"Oh yes." She took her seat, and then the multiple screens were turned on. "So I hacked every law enforcement line in case someone might have found the kid you told me about."
As she was explaining, her fingers were rapidly moving around the hundreds of buttons. "And also every communication line."
Then a voice message screened in.
["I need a few heroes at my shop. These bastard ability users just stole my cake. The kid just turned my glass to dust—no trace or nothing. The kid could be dangerous, so send every powerhouse at him, now."]
The students looked at each other. "Uh, that's the Hero Organization line," said Eva.
"Yeah, I also hacked that too. I jammed it so they wouldn't be getting this message until I say so. No one will. Big bro said this was a top-secret mission, sooo..."
"You're a genius—hacking the Hero League without leaving a trace," Ray commented.
"Uh, no... I jammed the whole world's communication lines without leaving a trace," Asami corrected Ray.
Aiden wasn't really impressed like the rest. He knew what his little sister was capable of doing, which was why he chose her.
"Is that the only line about a kid?" asked Aiden.
"Not really. There were other reports, but none were as specific as this one. Some were clueless about how their shops and stuff rusted," said Asami.
"Decayed," Eva muttered. "I guess we just need to search every line location then."
"Nope. The calls were coming from a squared location."
Accompanying her words, the city's map appeared on the screen, and a few connected dots created a square.
"I think the kid should be around here."
"Jeju City?" the unspoken girl among the group finally said something, and Asami confirmed she was correct. "That's where I grew up. There's an orphan home."
"Nice, we've got ourselves a location."
"Eva and I will go. The rest of you stay here for information," said Aiden.
Eva smiled at those words. And Aiden was doing that to find out things about her and possibly bond with her.
"Fine by me, handsome," said Eva.
