"Whew… this is good stuff," I muttered."I'm level 48 now—damn. And this Shapeshifter class… I can actually change into a Human? That's insane."
My thoughts ran wild with possibilities. Human form, Werewolf form, Wolf form… so many options. But first things first—my stomach reminded me loudly—I needed food. Badly.
I looked around to figure out where I was. Nothing but snow everywhere. The sky above was bright blue, but this place was still deep in the frozen north. I had no idea exactly where.
I figured heading south would give me a better chance of finding prey.So I started walking.
Hours passed. I searched everywhere, but nothing. Just snow and more snow.I was starting to get worried. Hunger was hitting me hard.
Then—finally—my nose picked up a scent. There was a faint smell of blood… and meat. Something was nearby.Eyes sharp, ears alert, I followed the scent.
I soon reached a clearing. And there it was—a Snow Bear. But this one had a horn growing from its head.Didn't matter to me right now. Food was food.
I crouched low and slowly moved closer. At about 40 meters away, I extended my claws."Claw Strike," I whispered.
A glowing projection of my claw shot forward and slashed across the Snow Bear. The bear sensed danger and turned—but it was already too late. The claw strike tore through it, slicing diagonally across its body. The bear collapsed in a heap.
I rushed forward without hesitation.Finally—food!
I feasted on the meat, tearing chunks of it with my teeth. It tasted amazing—nothing had ever tasted this good before. After being starving for so long, this Snow Bear meat felt like the best meal of my life.
