'Come on you big beautiful scally death machine, come at me!' I think, and Rexy starts to accelerate. I spin on my heels and begin to run, only to see Dad trying to get out of his Explorer to help me and the kids.
"STAY IN THE TRUCK!" I shout and my dad starts to ignore me but Malcolm grabs his arm to stop him.
I start to turn towards the wooded area, while breaking out into a jog…that is quickly becoming a sprint.
Malcolm, not knowing what I'm doing leaps out of his explorer car and tries to draw Rexy's aggro with his own newly lit flare, by waving it in the air above his head shouting.
"Malcolm shut the fuck up and get rid of the flare!" I shout, "I know what I'm doing!" I continue to shut but a thunderclap makes my words unregister able.
"Get out of here with the kids!"
Malcolm shouts but in a way that shows he's trying to be quiet, as he inches back slowly, then turns on his heels and takes off, running for his life down the road, running towards the bathrooms that Gennaro went into in the movie, looking into the suv I see a lack of Gennaro so must be he ran into the bathrooms earlier.
Rexy sees the movement and takes off after Malcolm, Malcolm runs as fast as he can, approaching the outside bathrooms, he's only just steps ahead of the Rexy, without even slowing down, Rexy leans forward and flicks Malcolm into the air with her snout.
I start to yell at Rexy to get her aggro back, but Dad comes up and clamps a hand over my mouth, "Don't, I'm not losing my son because he wants to impress a pretty girl." Dad grunts out as he tries to move me but I don't budge as. I'm too busy watching how Rexy's little nuge sends Malcolm sailing right through a portion of the bamboo wall, and into the building.
The outside bathrooms fall apart, 'Yeah spared no expense my ass the bathrooms should have been minibunkers in case the Dinos ever got out of their pens.' I think as the falling apart of the bathrooms exposes a cowering Gennaro, who is sitting on the toilet, Gennaro screams and scurims on the toilet, Rexy explodes forward.
I move with Dad over to the lead Explorer, as Rexy noses around in
the rubble, after eating Gennaro.
"You idiot, what were you thinking trying to lead it away!" Lex whisper screams at me and slaps my chest as we reach the suv.
I rest my hands on her shoulders and she moves forward and hugs me hands sliding underneath my arms and interlocking behind my back.
"Don't leave me." Lex murmurs and it sounds so desperate and broken, I pat her back, "It's alright but, we don't have long Rexy will be back soon we have to get out of here." I murmur as the girl trembles in terror.
"Okay." Lex murmurs and nods, I see Tim and Dad, dad is comforting Tim, I feel the ground tremble even though it's wet from the rain, Lex, raises her head, staring over my shoulder, and screams, making me flinch at the loudness, I move quickly covering
her mouth at the same time.
"Shhh! Don't move! It can't see us if we don't move." Dad says and it's just barley discernable over the rain pouring down on to us, but I know Lex is looking at him like he's crazy, does as he says.
We wait as the booming steps approach us
I watch as the massive leg smacks down in front of us as Rexy walks right past Lex and I, and stops in front of Dad and Tim and sniffs, while opening her maw, ragged bits of flesh and clothing hanging from its teeth.
Not finding anything, Rexy swings her head away, and snorts loudly through her nose.
Dad's hat flies off his head he doesn't move, at the small movement of the hat Rexy's attention falls back on the car.
She bends down, and noses it making it turn and pushing Tim and Dad into her view, Rexy continues to push the car and Dad and Tim scramble around on their hands and knees, trying to keep ahead of the car, which the Rexy is now pushing even closer to the edge of the barrier.
"We have to do something." Lex murmurs as her muscles coil, in preparation of doing something stupid.
"Not yet, I promise we'll all get out of this safely, you just have to trust me, and do as I say." I murmur to Lex she takes a moment to consider my words, "Okay, I trust you, just don't leave me again." Lex murmurs back with desperation in her voice.
"I won't…" 'Unless I have to…'
Dad and Tim crawl quickly, but the car is moving too fast, Rexy now looms over Dad and Tim, who are trapped between the car and the sixty foot drop, into the branchiousarus paddock.
Rexy bends down and sees Tim, Tim tries to back away, but Dad is directly behind him and the drop is directly behind dad meaning there's no room to move and nowhere to go but down.
"Lex, get on my back, wrap you legs around my stomach and your arms underneath mine, don't wrap them around my neck." I murmur to Lex who is rooted in place trembling while staring.
As Rexy opens her maw wide stretches out her tongue and licks Tim doesn't move but makes a small suppred whining sounds, Rexy's tongue must taste something good as she tries to wrap it arount Tim, but it fails, and Rexy pulls her head back a few inches.
"Lex, we don't have time for fear, get on my back or we all die!" I mutter in her right ear making her flinch, I feel bad for scaring her but it gets her moving.
Lex does as I say and with rexy about to eat Dad and Tim I burst forward at a speed I doubt any human can match I slow down drop to my keens and slide tackle Tim and Dad off of the ledge.
Tim and Dad both grab onto me, as they scream, like little girls…matching Lex for volume and shrillness, Tim throws up on me, probably from the force in which my forearm collided with his stomach.
Ignoring that nastiness, I do my best to wrap my legs around them as I grab a downed cable, all three are screaming as I we descend down the cable, the cable sparks against my hand but doesn't break the skin, though I can feel my flesh burning.
My feet hit the ground hard dislodging Tim and Dad from me, they both fall on their butts in the mud.
Rexy at having her meal stolen roars in frustration, before hitting the car one more time making it so that the hood hangs over the edge of the barrier, "Get away from the wall!" I shout and help see Tim and dad slipping and sliding in the thick mud I grab them and throw them towards some ferns and quickly jog out if the way as the Explorer tips over the edge and slams into the ground where we had been seconds before.
"You fucking idiot you're going to get us all killed doing stupid shit like that!" Lex screams at me, and I'm pretty sure a lot of it is out of embarrassment that she pissed herself, Lex drops off of my back but doesn't move away from me as I spin around to face her Rexy menicaingly roars behind me as a massive thunder bolt and much smaller ones illuminate the forest floor as if it were day time luckily for me my Demigod vision isn't impaired by darkness or the constantly shifting amount of light.
'This ungrateful!' I think and feel so pissed off, I kinda lose my temper.
"If I didn't do what I did my Dad and your little brother would be dead, either as food or with broken bodies from hitting the ground. I said I would keep you guys alive and safe, I didn't say it wasn't going to be scary as hell, now you got anything else you want to yell at me for?!" I shout at her while holding my arms out at my sides the adrenaline from the close brush with death pounding in my veins making me feel more alive than ever before.
Lex doesn't say anything she throws herself at me jumping up wrapping her legs around my middle and kisses me, it's a sloppy inexperienced kiss that is all tongue and saliva but, I grab Lex's firm tight ass and return/dominate the kiss.
I hear both a throat clearing from dad and giggling and ewe cooties from Tim.
Breaking the kiss, Alexis tries to follow my lips desperate for more kisses as she looks at me through lidded eyes.
"Now, that you two are done trying to swallow each other's tongues, we should get moving before that animal finds a way down here." Dad says and Lex makes a cute eep sound at realizing we've had an audience or maybe it's because I continue to fondle her ass, don't know don't care.
'There goes my plan for ditching these people for an hour or two and retreviring the doctor's bag with 750k in it and the Embryos Nerdy stole.' I think as Dad leads the way further into the branchiosarus paddock.
Luckily the rain has stopped, making our miserable hike through thick jungle foliage a little easier.
Poor Lex is both embarrassed and scared as hell, she walks ramrod her hand tightly clenching mine as it trembles her breaths are short and fast, desperate gasps.
Her eyes are wide, her head constantly jerking this or that way looking for any movement, jumping at every sound, as we walk, Tim is slowly falling back from Dad's side to me and Lex, his shoulders slumping his hands coming up to rub at his eyes every few seconds.
'I don't know how none of us have any injuries…especially with the way I threw Dad and Tim from the splash zone of that Explorer, 'I have to do something to calm Lex down.
"Hey, come on, I'm here don't, Lex I'm right here." Lex doesn't seem to register my words so I try again. "Lex. I'm going to look after you. I'm going to help your brother, you need to take a deep breath and try to relax a little…if not for you then for Tim…and me, he's scared, he needs his cool big sister…and I need to know that you trust me, that you believe in me to keep you safe…okay?"
Lex looks to me and I can see it in her eyes when she finally let's go and places her trust and life fully in my hands, "O-Okay." she stutters but her body relaxes slightly and her breathing starts to level out.
Tim grabs my hand and holds it almost as tightly as his sister is, he looks up at me with a tear and mud-streaked face…he opens his mouth and starts moving his lips his voice is barely audible.
"I'm sorry I threw up on you." Tim apologizes and yawns explosivly, "Th-thanks for saving me." He continues to say and I smile at him, "Let go of my hand for a bit little man." I say gently and Tim is too tired to actually be embarrassed but he blushes anyways not giving him time to say anything I pick him up with my left arm the kids arms quickly wrap around my neck as his legs their best to lock around my middle her presses his face against the crook of my neck and starts to cry.
"It's okay buddy, we'll all be okay, I promise, even if I have to kill all the dinosaurs on this island I'll keep us safe, we're family now." I comfort the kid and rub his back, I feel Lex making love sick eyes at me but I concentrate on Tim and following Dad, even as Lex leans against me as we walk hand in hand.
