Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: The Search for the Bat is in Progress

Jason pulled the rope under Alan's armpits, freeing his hands. In less than three seconds, Alan had untied the remaining ropes himself. Seeing this, Jason turned to support Dick.

At this time, Alan looked at Ethel, who had not yet had time to escape. Holding a bundle of rope, he approached step by step and asked, "Do you remember what I said?"

"What?" Ethel was so horrified that her mind was a mess; she couldn't remember anything at all.

"Don't act cool next time you see me," Alan reminded her.

She suddenly recalled that Alan had, in fact, said that.

"I remember now," Alan said with a beaming face. "You were just showing off."

"Hehehehe…"

At this moment, Alan's smile was simply terrifying to Ethel. It was a grotesque thing, his upper teeth biting his lower lip, pulling his upper lip so tight that his gums were exposed.

"You have a lot of nerve!" Ethel felt something was terribly wrong and turned to run for her life. As a result, the rope tightened around her neck, and a huge force pulled her back.

"Don't go. Try my craft." Alan's voice sounded like the devil's whispers in her ears.

"No! Don't do that! I apologize…" Ethel begged for mercy as she watched herself being tied up and curled into a ball. Her limbs were curled up, her head pressed down toward her abdomen. She could no longer stand upright, and even the simplest sideways movement was impossible.

"It's perfect." Alan was very satisfied with his masterpiece. He made a charging serve motion and shouted, "Sea Cucumber possessed! Golden right leg!"

Bang!

He kicked Ethel like a soccer ball, sending her flying in a parabola to collide with a Talon warrior. The Talon tried to catch the Judge of the Court of Owls but completely miscalculated the force of the impact and was knocked to the ground.

"Yeah! Good shot." Alan lamented to himself, "If I hadn't drunk too much kelp soup and developed gout, which led to my early retirement, I would have led the national team to win the World Cup."

Enough showing off. Time to support his teammates.

Alan quickly came to Ethel, who was barely breathing, and kicked the ball again. "Special move: Golden Sea Cucumber!"

Ethel flew like a ball toward another Talon warrior. Having learned from the previous experience, this one did not choose to take it head-on but chose to dodge directly.

"Justice Kick!"

You can dodge the open attacks, but you can't dodge Alan's hidden ones. A flying kick hit the Talon warrior squarely in the waist. The Talons wouldn't die even if they received fatal damage, but it would take some time for them to recover. After all, the Dionysus factor and Electrum needed time to take effect.

"Crows take planes!" Alan attacked another enemy, jumping up, curling into a ball, and falling heavily on the target, paralyzing them with his butt.

Picking up the sabers of the two fallen Talons, he relieved the pressure on Dick and Jason.

"It turns out I can use a secondary weapon!" Alan looked at his left hand in disbelief. The promethium metal sword was covered with a layer of shadow power, which also added the effect of a shadow blade. By making up for the disadvantage in weapons, it was easy to defeat the Talons.

He picked up a sword from the ground, held it between his lips, and posed, mumbling, "I promised her that I would not lose again."

"I am the strongest swordsman, Zoro the Pirate."

The atmosphere was very awkward. At least the warring parties had reached a consensus for the time being. In a flash, Alan launched himself and charged toward the Talon warriors. The sharp flashes of swords appeared frequently. He was able to fight one against six and still have strength to spare.

At this moment, Alan was not fighting alone. His ex and his current girlfriend were fighting together. He opened his hands left and right and waved the sword in his mouth while shaking his head, fully demonstrating his crazy three-sword style. Dick and Jason temporarily avoided the attack because it was indiscriminate and could easily have injured them by mistake.

In a moment, Alan stood proudly in his place, surrounded by fallen enemies.

Clang. He let go of the sword in his mouth.

"This move is very lethal, but it's a bit tiring," Alan said, opening and closing his mouth to relax his jaw.

"Find the master and evacuate immediately, before the enemy can react," Dick urged. This was the lair of the Court of Owls; who could guarantee there were no more Talons? They had witnessed how powerful they were, no less than well-trained superheroes. If they hadn't been wearing the Owl suits with the same equipment, they would probably be dead now.

However, Alan was an exception. This guy didn't look like he was struggling from beginning to end. Moreover, if you really thought he was stupid, then you were the stupid one. They had no idea how to find their master, and in the end, they had relied on Alan's advice to sneak into the other party's lair.

Alan collected swords and stole darts from the enemies. He used a rope to tie the swords to his back and kept the darts close to his body.

"Below the immortals, I am invincible! Above the immortals, I will fight you monsters one-on-one! Ahhh…" Alan ran toward a tunnel, completely forgetting about his two teammates.

"Keep up, keep up!" Dick and Jason were overwhelmed. When they turned the corner, there was no one in sight.

Jason couldn't help but say speechlessly, "Let him go. It's more important to find the master." Alan's strength was there for all to see. If he really encountered danger, they naturally couldn't help.

Ah… ah… ah…

At this time, Alan had been running wildly for a while. His throat was dry, but he hadn't encountered a single enemy. "Ahem… is this a maze?" He turned around and found that the passages were all turning points, and he had already lost his way.

He stopped running and began to walk calmly through the maze. After observing for a while, he came to a conclusion: there was no conclusion.

"Is anyone home?"

"No one? I'll come in."

"Kind sir, please buy a nuclear bomb. I'm just a poor little girl selling nuclear bombs."

"Calling East Base, calling East Base, this is East Command, this is East Command. Containment has been breached. We are running away. I repeat, we are running away."

"Q: What is above everything? Friendly reminder: it is not OAA, nor is it the First Firmament, nor is it the Beyonder. A: It is 404."

"Author, if you don't give me a hint, I will die in front of you."

The Talon warrior hiding in the dark felt his scalp tingle as he watched the neurotic Alan talking to himself. Has Bruce gone corrupt? It's really annoying that such people can hang out together.

Turning a corner, Alan entered a spacious hall. Inside, stone coffins were neatly arranged, and all of their lids had been opened. Alan walked to a sarcophagus and saw that there was nothing inside except for some green liquid. This was the container where the Court of Owls usually stored the Talons. The liquid was a special potion made from a mixture of the Dionysus factor and Electrum, which could resurrect the dead and allow them to be controlled.

"I see." Alan suddenly realized, "This is a large tomb. We need to use the Dragon Hunting Technique to find the way."

Immediately, he raised one sword upright and pressed the tip of the other sword against it and spun it.

Alan muttered to himself, "To tame a dragon, look at the mountain for gold. To eat sausage, eat the poorest of the poor. One sausage is better than six. To have jelly, choose Xizhiniang. To have instant noodles, choose only Pangmailang. To have soda, look for Daleibi. After eating the grass, I ran out of poop, but I found that I didn't bring any paper, so I rubbed my bare butt on the grass…"

Waiting for the sword to stop spinning, it pointed to a passage. "Hey, you're right. The skills our ancestors left behind are really useful."
