Community poem
Daddy do you see
Your children looking happy
Smiling despite the panic
Healthy despite the crisis
I'm sorry to say I can't go to church every Sunday
Like how we used to do
Every Sunday, just me and you sometimes
Because your other children are older
And moving on with their life
No longer at home
And Mom is working
so she'll be tired by the time we are ready to go
But it's fine just me and you,
Me and you being the Ushers
Bringing the gifts down the aisle
And everyone knows our face
Always greeting us saying hi or bye
Surprisingly they know my name
But I don't think I ever said it
It was probably you because I know you're a proud dad
That always talks about his children
I can't go to our regular 5:30 mass
I can't go Usher for the both of us
I can't go to church this time
Because the world is in a dilemma
But I have YouTube so I'm fine
I can watch the the mass at home
It's the church that brother always goes to
It's a bit farther away from home
But luckily technology makes it work
I also think it's the church that my nephews did their communion at
And you'd be proud of know we're still staying in touch
We even had a family game night the other day
We're lucky to have phones and computers
You'd be proud of your son because he hosted it
You're probably laughing at our competitiveness
All of us trying to justify one more point for our self
The squabble between my nephew and me
On who said it first
But I know you're on my side
Because I'm your little princess
Your sweetest little child
So Dad, please do watches but don't worry
Because if you're watching you'll see
The family still standing strong
